It would be cool to see some squad mates hook up with each other, especially if they are temporary or unavailable in ME3. My fem shep would be miffed, but that would be kinda cool.

And just because she's a DLC character who can die doesn't mean she has no chance of being a major squaddie/bi love interest. BioWare did that with another character (SPOILERS, ANDERS!!)
All we can do is hope. Alot. Gotta say that her romance would have a lot of funny sexy flirtatious banter mixed in with some heartache though =D

I do want Kasumi back as a LI for Shepard but I hope Bioware doesn't hook her up with Jacob the are just not a good match in my opinion.

Jacob was just a crush. I think she'd get bored with him, he's just too backbone paragon and she's a sentimental risktaking thief.

I'd really like that to happen. However, she's a DLC character and a such, she has 0% chances of becoming a LI.
I wouldn't be so sure about that....BW has promised more love interests (Bi from what I understand)...and James Vega has been created and named....yet no female has been put forward...there is an opening available.
Kasumi....

My friend REALLY wants to see her as an LI in ME3, and I do think she could fit as a bi option. I think it would be better to add her as an LI because she was in ME2 rather than to introduce a someone new (at this point).
I'm with you on all points.....I still have hope that this is exactly what BW is up to, considering the fact that they have named and designed a new male character, but they remain silent as to whom the female is.

I imagine sheperd would have to convince Kasumi to let go of kenji first then he' d find out what was in the greybox. But really I expect it to be Jacob and Kasumi she even hints at it.

I just got to playing the Kasumi DLC the other day and i really, really like her as a character. She is cool under fire, has a sense of humor, and off-sets the meloncholy theme of the game.
I wish you all the best and I hope you can get her back in ME3

I'm sorry while I support adding kasumi as a LI I have little interest in her as a LI. She just doesn't seem interesting, I'd rather see Doctor Chakwas, Gianna, Shiala, Aria or the female krogan as a LI. Yes I said the female krogan I was rebuilt once before they can put me back together again.
..........
Gianna....is Kasumi's only contender from my Sheps perpsective, I like Gianna a great deal, I can see her being a lot of fun like Kasumi and she and Kasumi are the only female characters who have managed to throw Shep off balance.
Dr Chakwas....old enough to be Sheps mum, no thank you.
Shiala....she has never really appealed, I think because she is a victim and plays that role.
Aria....is very interesting and I have thought about this one before....as I posted in her support thread though, I think any relationship between her and Shep (be that sexual or otherwise) would be more a political move on both their parts, rather than driven by any romantic feelings.
Female Krogan....

I imagine sheperd would have to convince Kasumi to let go of kenji first then he' d find out what was in the greybox. But really I expect it to be Jacob and Kasumi she even hints at it.
This often comes up as point of confusion....Saying Kasumi is not over Keji, but then in the same sentence...mentioning her interest in Jacob.
So, either: A.) She is still hooked on Keji and is rebounding onto Jacob....not a good relationship starter.
or: B.) Though she deeply loves Keji and always will, she feels able to move on now and is starting to take an interest again in the idea of loving again.
Now putting aside my interest in Kasumi becoming an LI....I still don't see Kasumi and Jacob as such a great idea....Jacob is a very cynical man and I really do think he would be a real bust on Kasumi's joyjoy and her free spirited nature....I don't actually have anything against Jacob (aside from his persistant cynicism), I just can't see that being healthy for Kasumi.
As for the Grey Box, I am very curious to see what BW does with that one in ME3.

The girl is very self-stabilizing. She leads an active and dangerous lifestyle, but has maintained a sort of air of normlacy around herself. She enjoys the simple things... poetry, books, humor and the company of others. She is intelligent, quick-witted and enjoyable to take on missions. She offers a unique "live and love life" perspective that you don't find often among your crewmembers. Also on a side note, she has a great sense of style. Love the red loyalty thing going on there Kas =D
Kasumi had a crush in Jacob. It was never meant to go anywhere it's just her playful little way of trying to move on, showing that she's saddened but not crippled by Keiji's death. She likes to flirt, it's part of her personality and to give her more depth as a DLC character. I loved how she informed Shep on how she talks to the other crew members. Like when she says, "Samara told me she really appreciated your help. As hardcore as she is, I don't think she could have done it alone." Her character has an extra layer of demension with how she treats others.
I like how she has an ear to the ground. She knows alot about people, but is not a gossip. Well, she's a harmless gossip, like she wants to hear good news but doesn't spread around the bad news. What adds to my respect of her even more is she seems to know exactly the right thing to say about every member of the crew. I found this especially true when she speaks of Jack. "I understand why Jack is the way she is. I don't like it, but I get it."
By the way, I find her adventurous attitude is very interesting for a thief. I expected her to be the zen stoic type, like Thane or Samara, but she turned out to have a very light-hearted personality despite such a unique lifestyle. All in all she surprised me and I was into her since the day that guy hacked the game and found her placeholder when he used her in the suicide mission. I am a Kasumi fan, forever and true. Her and Garrus are an awesome squad pair. But I do have to point out a few things I hear about her that kind of makes me go grrrr
Statement 1: Why the hell would you recruit a thief for a suicide mission?! That seems so stupid.
Answer: In Mass Effect's world, a universe where computer systems and security is everywhere, to be a thief one needs no less than a mastery of all things technical, stealth skills, weapons training in case things go amiss, intelligence, people skills and infiltration specialization. Think of her more as a Splinter Cell/Assasins Creed skillset cross with master tech powers and a cute yet dangerous, Oceans' 11 feel.
Statement 2: OMG Kasumi isn't going to be in Mass Effect 3 stupid. She's DLC and everyone hates her (Actual post from someone not very nice
Answer: I disagree! It's been done before (by BioWare nonetheless) and Kasumi is in a great spot as she is familiar but can be explored much better. Adding in the bi option, her includence in the story, the mystery of Shepards belongings, the greybox and some other factors, and we can see that Kasumi actually has a good chance of making it as a perm squaddie in ME3 (if such a thing even exists). Besides, when focusing on smaller squad banter, who better to add in than the girl who knows everyone? =D
Short version of the answer? Look up ANDERS.
Btw, As a DLC character without full dialogue? She's got a pretty freaking HUGE fan-base.
Statement 3: She totally is a bad thief. She didn't even cloak in Hock's mansion when disabling security or try to wear an appropriate disguise...
Answer: I have a theory on that. While being a romantic, I think that while she could have taken back the greybox without a hitch. But her risktaking attitude didn't allow her to just make this another job. I think she wanted confrontation, stating that even at her most obvious she could get into Hock's home. I think she made herself open on purpose, as she really wanted deep down to kill Hock and make taking the box all the sweeter =D
Anyway, I think she is one of the best characters out there and she (pun oh so completely intended) was Kasuming Direct Control of my heart! I can't wait for her to just be seen in ME3, even if she's not a full squaddie. I love you Ms. Goto. I really dooooo =D
