And regarding Kasumi and Jacob I have always been against it and I hope that they don't pull another Aveline and Donnic with Kasumi with Jacob.
Aveline should have been a LI option for Hawke in Dragon Age 2 but instead they pull that crap with that loser Donnic and that really hurt Dragon Age 2 in my eyes because Aveline was the best Female Character in that game just as Kasumi was in Mass Effect 2.
I believe that Kasumi was at least 10 times better than Tali in Mass Effect 2 and because bioware made Tali romanceable in Mass Effect 2 I honestly don't see the whole Tali's Face thing turning out well I wonder how the hardcore Fans are gonna like it if Tali's face isn't gorgeous.
Also as to a few other options here is what think of them.
Samara
I love Samara and would romance her I think her devotion to the Justicar Code and her feelings for Shepard could be great.
Gianna
This option doesn't make alot of sense to me because she doesn't fit into the whole war for Earth and having her aboard the Normandy and not fight is a stupid choice.
Aria
I actually love Aria and would totally romance her and I agree that any romance between them would probably be political but it could turn into love with time.
Shiala
I like Shiala and think that a Shepard /Shiala Romance could be pretty good if done right also Shiala already likes Shepard and the only thing hindering her romance would be the PS3 Version Players.

Samara.... would be interesting for sure and I enjoyed when she told Shep...though she is not interested, she welcomes his curiousity....I don't think my Shep would go there though, I think more so due to how I see his life after the Reapers than anything else though.
Gianna...I don't think an LI would need to be aboard the Normandy or a participant in the war at all to be an LI.
Aria...yes, I don't know, I kinda personally have trouble seeing her moving beyond something more than political, I think for the fact that it would be a possible weak point that she would refuse to leave herself open to.
Shiala....there is a big ask for her on the boards, she and Kasumi seem to be the leading contenders....she would fit my vision of my Sheps future quite well too, she just doesn't feel his equal though, I feel like he would have too much power in the relationship, I would like something more balanced myself.

Ohhhhh Kasumi is my dream girl. Beautiful, yet mysterious and got a great sense of humor =D Here is my rant on why I LOVE our favorite little asian kleptomaniac!
The girl is very self-stabilizing. She leads an active and dangerous lifestyle, but has maintained a sort of air of normlacy around herself. She enjoys the simple things... poetry, books, humor and the company of others. She is intelligent, quick-witted and enjoyable to take on missions. She offers a unique "live and love life" perspective that you don't find often among your crewmembers. Also on a side note, she has a great sense of style. Love the red loyalty thing going on there Kas =D
Kasumi had a crush in Jacob. It was never meant to go anywhere it's just her playful little way of trying to move on, showing that she's saddened but not crippled by Keiji's death. She likes to flirt, it's part of her personality and to give her more depth as a DLC character. I loved how she informed Shep on how she talks to the other crew members. Like when she says, "Samara told me she really appreciated your help. As hardcore as she is, I don't think she could have done it alone." Her character has an extra layer of demension with how she treats others.
I like how she has an ear to the ground. She knows alot about people, but is not a gossip. Well, she's a harmless gossip, like she wants to hear good news but doesn't spread around the bad news. What adds to my respect of her even more is she seems to know exactly the right thing to say about every member of the crew. I found this especially true when she speaks of Jack. "I understand why Jack is the way she is. I don't like it, but I get it."
By the way, I find her adventurous attitude is very interesting for a thief. I expected her to be the zen stoic type, like Thane or Samara, but she turned out to have a very light-hearted personality despite such a unique lifestyle. All in all she surprised me and I was into her since the day that guy hacked the game and found her placeholder when he used her in the suicide mission. I am a Kasumi fan, forever and true. Her and Garrus are an awesome squad pair. But I do have to point out a few things I hear about her that kind of makes me go grrrr
Statement 1: Why the hell would you recruit a thief for a suicide mission?! That seems so stupid.
Answer: In Mass Effect's world, a universe where computer systems and security is everywhere, to be a thief one needs no less than a mastery of all things technical, stealth skills, weapons training in case things go amiss, intelligence, people skills and infiltration specialization. Think of her more as a Splinter Cell/Assasins Creed skillset cross with master tech powers and a cute yet dangerous, Oceans' 11 feel.
Statement 2: OMG Kasumi isn't going to be in Mass Effect 3 stupid. She's DLC and everyone hates her (Actual post from someone not very nice:("
Answer: I disagree! It's been done before (by BioWare nonetheless) and Kasumi is in a great spot as she is familiar but can be explored much better. Adding in the bi option, her includence in the story, the mystery of Shepards belongings, the greybox and some other factors, and we can see that Kasumi actually has a good chance of making it as a perm squaddie in ME3 (if such a thing even exists). Besides, when focusing on smaller squad banter, who better to add in than the girl who knows everyone? =D
Short version of the answer? Look up ANDERS.
Btw, As a DLC character without full dialogue? She's got a pretty freaking HUGE fan-base.
Statement 3: She totally is a bad thief. She didn't even cloak in Hock's mansion when disabling security or try to wear an appropriate disguise...
Answer: I have a theory on that. While being a romantic, I think that while she could have taken back the greybox without a hitch. But her risktaking attitude didn't allow her to just make this another job. I think she wanted confrontation, stating that even at her most obvious she could get into Hock's home. I think she made herself open on purpose, as she really wanted deep down to kill Hock and make taking the box all the sweeter =D
Anyway, I think she is one of the best characters out there and she (pun oh so completely intended) was Kasuming Direct Control of my heart! I can't wait for her to just be seen in ME3, even if she's not a full squaddie. I love you Ms. Goto. I really dooooo =D:bandit:
:wizard:

I always love your posts ilovemesometurian...I find you eloquant and you have a habit of hitting the nail on the head...thank you for your posts.
I, myself, despite my massive love for Kasumi, do find her thief status a little odd, not for the reasons you have cited, but for the battles themselves...she is a thief, not a trained killer...just seems odd for someone so good at killing, doesn't really seem to fit....Thats my take anyway.

I would really like to see Kasumi as an LI or at least a squadmate in ME3. But she was a DLC character so that means that not everyone will have had her on the normandy in ME2. I think that might cause some problems.
But then again BW is sticking Vega on board....just a small difference in Kasumi's introduction would be necessary, depending on whether she has already associated with Shep or not.

I think it was BioWare's way of saying "THAT'S why you're recruiting her, you whiners!"
Lol not really. With all the tech they have nowadays (ex. gravity amps, muscle enhancers so on) one could really come up with endless reasons why she was able to do that. I wasn't expecting it, but I liked it =) not too flashy but enough for me to pause the game, look at my dog and go, "Well dayum."

End of Golden Owl's post.
I think maybe she wasn't always a thief. I'm getting a hint at maybe at some point she was a kind of infiltrator/recon soldier or spy or something. Idk she's just so damn mysterious she literally could have been ANYTHING and I'd believe it.
Btw I keep having the same dream where Kasumi gets revealed as a permantent squaddie and I get all happy, then I wake up and go "Aw crap. It was a dream!" and get all sad

Some people say she won't be included because she's a dlc character. But didn't Bioware once say that all DLC would be assumed to have been completed but it's better if you make the decisions yourself? I swear I heard this somewhere, just can't rememebr where.
This is true, especially for LOTSB and Arrival. It may just assume you met Kasumi and Zaeed already. Either that or they'll play a Garrus if you didn't recruit him in ME1 and just make her act like she just met Shepard for the first time as opposed to reminiscing about the good old days =D lots of possibilities! I wonder if individual members will remember what role they played in the suicide mission? Example, Kasumi: Damn those vents were damn hard to hack. Or Kasumi: I can't believe that Legion got shot hacking the vents... Just on a side note. I think if alot of people died during your suicide mission run, Kasumi would remember each of them and she'd get pretty sad... awww

Haha aw I'm sorry. But I like that about her! People matter to her. She can take it =D she's stable and loving haha. But if she has any dialogue that goes, "I can't believe Tali didn't make it. I'm going to miss her." I'm gonna lose it...
Oh banner how I love you =D
I hope Kasumi gets another outfit in ME2 as well. But I can't wait to see how she looks in ME3 argh I love her so much :innocent::happy:

Yes BW said this, plus they hinted in the online interview when they responded to a question about Kasumi...all squaddies will be back in ME3, as to in what capacity will depend a lot on how we dealt with them in the previous games.
