I have done a tone of reading and searching and from what I read she "can’t be a large part of ME3" due to her possible death in ME2... is this confirmed, if she is in it will be small parts, … /sad

Hey bp,

Pretty much all characters can die at some point during ME1 and ME2. Either Kaidan or Ash die in ME1 and the other is assured to be in ME3, since they didn't play a role in ME2. The only other character that can't die is Liara (full squadmate in ME1 and couldn't die in it) and she was only in a DLC in ME2, which she couldn't die in. She is confirmed to be in ME3. So, only Ash/Kaidan (one or the other) and Liara are safe from death through both game (correct me, if I'm wrong anyone).

Anyway, I don't think her possible death in ME2 should play a role with her being in the game since others like Garrus,Thane,Ash/Kaidan,Jack etc. could also die.

But it's true that after burning myself through all FMP episodes I'm more eager than any time before for an Overkilling Soldier - Cute Japanese Girl romance

Hey folks, hopefully this will liven up discussion around here. Doing another playthrough finally and the only choice I'm unsure about is what to do with the gray box. In the past I've always taken the "Keiji wants you to destroy it and move on" because I felt it wasn't really my place to decide for her. But there's also the Alliance data to consider, as well as differing motivations. Do I want her to keep the only memento of Keiji she has? Or is she too obsessed and I need her to move on? Thoughts?

I generally let her to keep the Graybox. I think both the information is far too important to be destroyed and that she should be allowed to keep what little she has to remember Keiji by.

I would let her keep it, since you already have a saved file where you destroyed it.

I have a saved filed with each choice. This should allow you another possible option in future playthroughs of ME3 and more dialogue options with Kasumi.

I don't think it would harm any future LI with Kasumi, if BioWare gives us what we demand.Posted Image

Well Zoe and Varok Shepard let her keep the greybox to make her happy, but just to be safe, Mechler burned it. Don't want ghosts from the past intervening

there is information that could be valuble agianst the reapers. I always let her keep because I believe letting her keep it will help her get over her lost love

although I do have one account where it's been destroyed, just to see the difference.

The choice is presented as destroy it and move on or keep it and don't forget him. How do you figure keeping it helps her get over him?

I agree. Letting her keep it is the exact opposite of helping her move on.

I let her keep the graybox.

And then I send her an invisibility watch and a kunai to use in combat.

I keep it because i think it may be potentially story wise in ME3.

I would say letting her keep it, she would be able to move on at her own pace. Destroying it could actually have the opposite efffect, ripping away everything she has left of him before she has time to heal from her grief.

I don't know. The subject of Jacob came up earlier elsewhere and talking about the cloaked stalking and haiku writing I now get the feeling that despite her wittiness and lighthearted goodness, Kasumi may have some obsessive type issues. It's not something I like thinking about but then again every other character has something wrong with them. Anyway the point is that maybe she doesn't get over Keiji if you leave her the gray box.

Well limiting Kasumi romance to non-greybox playthroughs would certainly put a nice emphasis on Bioware's point about meaningful decisions. Well let's see if we keep the greybox we have a nice long questline about saving kasumi from analliance prison/a bunch of kidnappers who now how to properly restrain someone/both, re-steal the greybox and so on. If we destroy the greybox, we get a new love interest. Ah yes, that sounds nice. Drew? Casey? Ray? Crutch? Owl? Raven? Anyone?

Question........

What would you like to see from Kasumi in ME3 looks wise?

I would like to keep her basic look, but get a wardrobe change.

I have also went back and forth, if I would like to see her without the hood (kind of like Tali fans feel). I'm leaning toward keep the hood, but remove it if Shep gets to romance her.

I say keep the hood, and keep a black/gray color scheme. If romanceable, a de-hooding would make for a powerful moment.
Depressing thought: Or in a death scenario a la Vader in Jedi. Let's hope not though.
