Okay... I never loaded these two into my game. So - I have some questions.

1. Any news on whether they'll be carrying over to ME 3?

2. Are they worth it? Besides just enjoying them (which is enough I suppose) - do they add much?

3. Do you think I could load them into my "official" playthrough (which is finished) and still use them - do their "Loyalty" quests?

----

I'm considering one last "official" playthrough before ME 3 - Lord knows there's enough time.

But I was just wondering what people's thoughts were about these two NPCs and what they add to the game.

I liked Zaeed's loyalty mission(it seemed a bit short),but that is relatively all you get along with him aside from his commentary during missions during gameplay.

Since they paid for his services there is no recruiting mission and you also don't really have conversations with him(he has no dialog wheel and he just randomly tells random stories with no reaction from shepard)

Kasumis Loyalty Mission is definitely worth the price. There's some interesting codex entries and Donovan Hocks vault is filled with some awesome relics (I ain't gonna spoil them, they're really fun ones)

Zaeed...is alright. His loyalty mission is fun but depending on which way you go, it can be frelling hard to get his loyalty. I do like hearing him talking about his previous jobs in his wee compartment, and his tales about his old gun Jessie are a fun addition to a character that (like Kasumi) we don't get any regular dialogue with.

Kasumi is probably my second favorite character in the entire game. Her loyalty mission is pretty fun and I think she's interesting and funny as a squad mate.

Zaeed is just okay. Had he not been for free, I'm not sure I would have paid for him.

I dug them both. Seems like a lot of Zaeed meh'ing here so I have to add in that Zaeed is a no brainer for your squad (along with Grunt) for any hard**** Sheps out there. Guddammit.

I didn't care for them nor would I care if they appear in ME3

You didn't get to know them at all, their origins, your opinions, nor their personal feelings about anything nor did you get to actually talk to them on the Normandy

In fact you maybe have 4 dialogue conversations with both of them in the game itself

Zaeed was just a cold blooded badass and Kasumi was a Asian teenager with kleptomania

medhia,
I got both. I use kasumi for almost every battle. She is by far worth the most. the shadow strike is awesome. the most versatle squad mate by far out of all of them. zaeed is great also but mainly in the beginning( i get kasumi first and do their loyalty quests in the beginning). i hope that kasumi is available for me3 as she matches my gameplay the most.

I got both. Kasumi is definitive awesome in battle - my Fem Shep likes to have her on side.

Zaeed - well - usefully for the suicide mission to hold the line. Tough fighter, but rather a unpleasant badass.

Kasumi is just amazing! Even without the dialogue wheel she has more interesting things to say about your actions than most characters. Also because she can be invisible the things she notices on the ship make it feel like someone is paying attention...

Zaeed is a mercenary nothing more nothing less. Hate him playing Paragon, ok when being evil.

Kasumi is pretty sick, she'll just pop up behind a target clear on the other side of the room, gank them, and vanish. Her story is really fun as well, especially if you want to experience everything bioware is crafting its worth the few bucks. Same with Zaeed, he is kinda of "blah" however.

If that's true then I am so going for that ending.  I would love having another chance to romance Morinth.

Combat-wise, Zaeed is strong and Kasumi is just stupidly overpowered, like Miranda-level awesome. You can make the most idiotic Charge attacks into the most exposed, outnumbering crowds and walk away laughing if her Flashbang is off cooldown, it's all kinds of fun.

Story-wise, Kasumi's mission is better (and looks more likely to have meaningful implications for ME3), but both are fun and add something interesting to the game, IMO. Kasumi's a total bro, cheerful and fun and genuinely, openly fond of and loyal to Shepard. Zaeed's a jackhole and a war criminal, but generally an entertaining one -- particularly off the ship, as he seems, in my subjective experience, to have more commentary and dialog while out and about than any other squadmate. And both of them seem to actually be aware of the things outside their rooms on the Normandy, rather than existing in a tiny isolated bubble completely separate from anything else in the universe, which is really nice after a couple of playthrus of wondering if, say, Thane and Samara even realize each other exist.

Plus Kasumi's a valid vent specialist in the Suicide Mission, so if you're playing a Drone Madness party with Tali/Legion/Engineer!Shep, you don't have to break up your party of choice. As minor a concern as that probably is to most people :]

I think Stolen Memory is a pretty cool girl. eh kills gunsihp and doesn't afraid of anything...

Kasumi rocked - actually ended up being one my favorite characters. Her loyalty mission was awesome both from a story and gameplay perspective, and her little asides about the ship and crew really helped the place come alive. But I've got my fingers crossed they don't LI her, because as Quething said, she's a total bro.

And Zaeed was somewhat of a badass and had a cool accent.

Their pretty fun characters, but I wouldn't rush out and buy them if I didn't have them at this point. Though I do love that Incendiary Grenade..
