He's brave, tactical, and not afraid to be called a cloaca by Mordinn. He also gives an amazing speech, better than any given by Shep.

I say, let's support Captain Kirrahe of the salarian Special Task Group (STG) from ME1 (if he survived) as a Love Interest for ME3.
He's brave, tactical, and not afraid to be called a cloaca by Mordinn. He also gives an amazing speech, better than any given by Shep.

I was a bit disappointed Shepard doesn't give that many speeches (pretty much just when he is given the Normandy in ME1 and during the Suicide mission from ME2)

I definitely want Kirrahe - don't care if he's a love interest, but I need him with me to "HOLD THE LINE!"

Kirrahe can hold my line any time.

Shepard's speeches pale in comparison to Kirrahe. I'll have to admit I never expected to be inspired by a Salarian on my first playthrough of ME1. Complete bravery in face of knowing he's expendable cannon fodder in someone else's tale. What's not to love?
He is a bit of a Cloaca though.

Hell yeah. Another excellent salarian.

I support this. Kirrahe would be an awesome addition to the team and make the Reapers think twice after he makes a speech. If not squadmate, I'm hoping for him to make an appearance.

I want Kirrahe back. I wish he'd had plot armor so I wouldn't worry about whether or not we'll see him again.

Kirrahe is a good salarian option for Love Interest as Mordin very politely "let femshep down gently" with a (paraphrase) "If I did do human, I would have considered you."
But even if Kirrahe is not a potential Love Interest, I think he would make a good squad leader for support troops/marines/infiltration squad who are assigned under Shep's command. The Cerberus crew seemed to fight more like merchant sailors than marines, when they were attempting to repel the Collector boarding party.
And if Mordin were still active in ME3, it would be kind of neat to see them interact together, based on the Shadowbroker intel about their past *cough* differences.

I like Kirrahe and want to see him again, but not as LI. I woudn't mind him as squaddie, though.

Well true. Mordin would always be the salarian that holds my heart because he sings from Pirates of Penzance. So probably not as an LI.
As a squaddie or speech writer though, Kirrahe is great choice.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that the writers at bioware have made it quite clear in the ME universe that salarian romance and relationships are both scarce and very improbable. I want to make it clear that I'm not shooting down the possibility that a salarian romance would be viable (I would actually find that pretty interesting, especially with Mordin
) but the facts kind of shoot the whole idea down.
Salarians are currently known to be the most short-lived species of the galaxy. Most don't live past 30 according to Mordin, which is kind of a downer for all the other species, even humans who now have the technology to increase longevity past 100 years. This has also affected their culture, making reproduction mostly a business affair and relationship a pointless endeavor for them. An example is the Salarian on Ilium who explains the value of family data like history and geneology. Without it, he seems to make it clear that his family would probably die out because they would have no bargaining value with another family because they need proof of a good "pedigree" for a possible reproduction negotiation. Ouch, not a lot of emotion there. Another example would be the bachelor party for another salarian on Ilium who clearly has no taste for attractiveness to an asari or what would seem to be any species. He also states that salarians apparantly "do not get married" as per their culture I would guess. And lastly Mordin, who says that he's been approached by other species, makes it perfectly clear that he's not interested in any of them of shephard.
Yeah, I know it's a lot to read, but that's just what I've gathered from my playthroughs. Again, I wouldn't be opposed to it, but it doesn't really seem realistic. Who knows? Maybe there's a shephard out there that can finally make Mordin speechless

I wouldn't even want him as squaddie,I'd like him to have a role similar to ME1,only much bigger.Trinity66 wrote...

Kirrahe would be the perfect replacement for Mordin IMO, he's the most interesting Salarian I've ever ran into, besides him. So if we do get another Salarian squaddie, it may as well be him.

he'd be a great ally and I wouldn't mind him joining us even as a temp.

BioWare did a very good job of taking Kirrahe down a notch with that conversation with Mordin. Many people liked the battle speech and this was a nice little tweak at them.

Kirrahe as squad mate? I really don't think so. Most ppl don't even know he can be saved!

But he could be one giving speeches before missions.

Oh, Captain Kirrahe can definitely be saved. I had him and his quartermaster and other fellows camping in the Normandy 1's hold in ME1. He mentioned at that time that he thought he and Shep might work together again some day.
I fully thought I would see Kirrahe in ME2 and was disappointed when he did not appear. It would have been neat to have him as a squad member (with Mordinn in the lab, in a more supportive role, like Donnelly and Gabby in engineering) in that game.
Maybe we will see him in ME3, when I assume Shep will be searching the Traverse for allies. You always need special recon and black ops units when you go into the unknown.

I don't suppose anyone knows how to make one of those banner things to support Kirrahe for ME3? I'm not in the least bit good with computers.
