@LuskeRikke: GAH! I LOVE IT!!!! And what Leonia said about the grainy effect. I thought u did it on purpose ;P I love that effect on sketches. I tend to do it myself often, it goes well with shaded b&w images :3

Imma make this post a Team Dextro post. I posted this eons ago on the classic calibrations thread[even though the post says "last week" lol] : Note this is a screenshot ^___^

Last week i was playing thru my Maleshep playthru [attempting to finish it yet again...] and was playing through Tali's Loyalty mission [Garrus was with me as well]. I was just hacking some terminals and just when i finished and turned around i saw something simply awe-inspiring.......

Garrus and Tali were RIGHT behind me, side by side, facing opposite directions, literally watching my back so I dont get injured and/or interrupted while Im doing my hacking business. They were watching my back while my own back was turned. I was so touched by this sight......I HAD to take a screenshot of my tv screen to forever remember this XD

(... what is this from? If it's a magazine scan, I think we're not supposed to post those.)

I somehow recall this rumour in one of the earlier magazines before E3 but maybe I am not remembering properly. It certainly isn't outside the realm of possibility but I like to think Bioware is going to let the big decisions like that be decided by the player.

Im ok if thers a chance Garrus dies, but not having it forced on the players. It might work well for some Shepards but not for everyone.

I'm all about the choices. Let there be choices that can get Shepard and her team killed at the end. But if Bioware forces something like this on us, then I will be disappoint.

Hello, new thread!

Catching up on posts...  When it comes to being seperated from Garrus at the beginning of ME3, I really have no problem with this at all.  I think it's reasonable for Shepard to have her crew/squad disperse (for a time) as she turns herself over to the Alliance.  At that point the Normandy would be in Alliance hands, anyways, and it's not like Garrus would be welcome to remain onboard.  Indeed, the squad and crew are essentially Cerberus members at this point so their presence alone might warrant an immediate arrest.

I can see Garrus on Palaven for two reasons: 1) to settle things with his family prior to "The Big Fight" and/or 2) to attempt to get in contact with the big-wigs of Palaven and either warn them or enlist their aid against the Repears.  While I don't really see Garrus as a political liason-type of person, he's the only turian on our crew and his father is allegedly a well-known C-Sec official.  In the same way that Tali can beseach the quarians and Mordin the salarians, I think Garrus fits reasonably well into this role and it serves as a reason for him to not be on Earth during the trial.

Also, hellooooo, but the first thought that went through my head when I heard we'd have to re-recruit our squaddies is "REUNION SCENE!".  And unlike the poor VS, we have no reason to believe they'll be railroaded into fighting with us.  Picture it: Shepard's on Earth, under lock & key, when the Reapers attack.  Garrus could be watching this whole thing happen on live-streaming TV.  Presumably Garrus could be contacted once Shep's onboard the Normandy, but it might not be possible if Palaven is concurrently being assaulted.  Does he think she's dead?  Do we know Garrus is alright?  [dramatic angst alert!]  I personally can't wait, and YES my imagination is running wild.

Love the ideas, Tootles, very sound analysis.

I imagine the moment Garrus hears about the attack on Earth (if he's not on Earth at the time) he would probably say something along the lines of "I'm not losing her again."

I hope they show it! If not, the reunion scene should indeed be good, and since the VS got a hug on Horizon well.. I think his chances are looking good.

Maybe when Shepard gets on the Normandy there will be an urgent message from Garrus trying to find out if she's alive. It would be really cool if she could call him and talk to him via their omni tools before an actual in person reunion. I just want to hear the relief in his voice when she calls:wub:
When they finally get to see eachother face to face I want them both to react in a way that makes it obvious to outsiders that they're more than friends, and I have this sadistic little hope that Kaiden is there to witness it. (sorry for being terrible)

Since we know Palaven is under attack by the time we get there, I have a little scenario in my head where Shepard arrives mid-battle and you and Garrus kind of find each other on the battlefield.  /swoon/

And I agree, Platform_Error, I plan on taking Kaidan and Garrus with me wherever I go in ME3.  I just really hope they don't stagger the recruitment missions like they did in ME2, where half the squad was unaccessible until Horizon...I'd hate to have to wait until halfway through the game to pick up Garrus (or any squaddie, for that matter).

And though it would be torturous, I kinda hope that Shepard and Garrus just miss each other as far as communication goes.  The last thing Garrus sees is Earth under fire, and when Shepard gets back to the Normandy there's a frantic message from him, but when you return the call all lines are dead.  I looove the tension when I know to expect a good pay-off.  :D

Oooooh yes, dead lines! I liiiike that idea! Then they'll both be worried, which makes for a more intense reunion

ERM whut. Why does that last sentence exist. I'm waiting for my old journalism teacher to descend from the clouds above, wield the pen he keeps mounted on his ear, and from it shoot forth a pillar of flame with which to incinerate this article. Unless they're acutally paying their writers to speculate with that sort of tone now, in which case he might just burst into flame himself.

Anyway, while I'd like to see Garrus at Shep's trial, I can see why he wouldn't be and I'm pretty content with meeting him on Palaven. I honestly doubt that the writers would dangle him over our heads when he's joined the team within the first few missions in both games so far.

Well he'll be in Turian army again leading his own squad.

I mean, I wouldn't want for his leadership skills to be wasted by serving as a Shepard's grunt and be overshadowed by him/her.

It's best for him and as a friend that is most generous "gift" for him and still be able to help me fight against the Reapers.
