No Shepard Without Vakarian: Garrus Love and Turian Discussion

I have Kasumi DLC...
Normandy Crashsite DLC, if that Normandy could still have working parts (flashing lights; which it is when I play), after two years then what's to say Sovereign is not "alive?" ...
He could just very well be binding his time...
Now according to ME2 when get the Reaper IFF, apparently even "Dead" Reapers can still indoctrinate people... And if the Alliance does happen to have a piece of Sovereign....
.....maybe, destroying them Reapers isn't the answer.. stopping/breaking the cycle, yes would possibly help

On the Alistair note - I actually liked how it wasn't totally possible to get a fairy tale ending with him. It's nice to see some flexibility with romances, or decisions in RPGs in general. Made the game more believable. Though, I broke up with Alistair to romance Zevran, 'cuz, well... I preferred him but ANYWAY BACK TO GARRUS LOL.
I tried looking for the fanfic involving indoctrinated Shepard. No dice.
If Garrus somehow became indoctrinated in ME3, I have no clue what I'd do. Killing him would probably be the best thing to do (like killing someone who is turning into a zombie) but OH GOD I would not do it lightly. ;^; Ma babyyy.

Oh, dear...it's been a LONG time since I've read it, so I might be off the mark here, but off the top of my head that fanfic sounds like Choices, by YukiFujiwara on FFnet. It's a heartbreaking one, that ):
As for the indoctrination discussion...if it came down to it,if there were no other way, I would kill Garrus. Not only would it be difficult for me to see him that way, but I know that living a mindless slave is the very last thing he would ever want to do. And above all, I know he'd be upset with me if I didn't.

You're welcome!
I think if the Reapers try to indoctrinate Garrus, he'll just turn it back on them. Reaper calibration, anyone?

Suddenly I like the end song on ME1 more; M4 (PART 2) by Faunts...
Seems to fit right now...

I guess we dont have the same Bioware romance background. I romanced Zev and was pretty pleased how it goes from casual to somewhat serious beteween him and the warden. By opposite to going from serious to dead with Alistair.
You guys keep making me worried like that about Garrus and ill have to go read the leaks!
My only hope there is I don't think the Grand Poobah (David Gaider) wrote Garrus or had much to do with the romances in general in the Mass Effect galaxy. He's the guy that lives by "Bittersweet is best" - or at least seems to make the most noise out of it. That Alistair romance was heartbreaking. Of course, I fangirl over Fenris (another of his romances) and that one's not quite so bitter - you just have to be patient while Fenris gets his head on straight.
*sigh* One thing I love about the Garrus romance is it's remarkably less angsty than any of the DA romances I've done. I'd love to see this one be able to turn out well, and I think I'll be badly disappointed if that doesn't happen.
If I recall well there was a way not to have Alisatair make the breakup with you and make the ultimate sacrifice and that was by not forcing him to become king. Specially since he hated the idea anyway and wanted to be Warden(Its like a kid who wants to be a firefighter and not a doctor like his dad ). It kinda all went downhill with him from that point.
Anyway that ties up with Garrus because I think it would be ok that you dont get the best ending if you try to coerse Garrus into something. I dont know... like its good to be his mentor but lets say you try to convince him that Turians should be sacrificed to save earth or any other race... I can see why he would break up with you. and throw himself at the Reapers just to make you cry!
But also we can keep in mind that DAO was about the unfairness of the diffrent classes and races (only human noble cound have her cake and eat it) while ME is about human making friends with aliens. Im not expecting Bioware to break up Garrus/Shep or Tali/Shep or Liara/Shep... xenophiles rejoice!

Alistair was a bro, just like Garrus. Cant understand why everyone seems to hate him so much. I remember when I first met Alistair in the game, he made a joke about how the Blight brought people closer together after trolling some mage. I instantly new I would like the guy. but i digress.
No.
Garrus is the bro, Alistair is the BFF.

yeah.. i think even Alistair would agree with this. He's a friendship bracelets and hot cocoa sorta guy.... i think he wouldn't know what to do with a brofist.
Don't get me wrong... i absolutely adore Alistair... I just don't think he's "bro" material.
seriously.
and kudos to the Mythbusters references.
and happy Turkey day to all of you who are Stateside.

I recon, if Alistair was female and in the Mass Effect Universe, ALICE and Garrus would be dating each other.

It could be that I'm getting old, but I don't have a flying clue what you just said... Friendship braclets? Are those like the little companion rings you can get? Also, what exactly makes someone "bro material?"
Is this a new thing or am I just really out of touch?
Also, happy thanks giving to any one in america! From what I understand at thanksgiving you state that you're thankful for what you've got... By eating in front of the rest of the world... ahh America...
Also, you know that picture I posted a while back by Chrono8 with the turian autobots? Well the second decepticon version just popped up:

Also I kind of thought this was funny:

This is all I see when I look at Garrus's armor.
*snip*
HA! To be fair I think ME3 armour is an improvement since his ME2 gear was WAY too high (could barely see his head from the side). Also you can clearly see an outfit under the armour now which hopefully means he'll be in uniform while he's on the normandy (and that means a less bulky garrus to cuddle)

*snips of awesomesauce*
lol. I'm older than you, Bubble. I'm 29 in 2 days..... and really, you may be too young to remember friendship bracelets. they're hempen bracelets (or lanyard, depending on your preference) that were woven together, often with beads that friends would give each other and not ever take off.
as for "bro material" .... seems a bit more .... erm, manly than Alistair.
and yeah. i think you're just outta touch.
Thanksgiving is a day that we eat more food than most families in third world countries get in a week in order to give thanks to the Native Americans that we brutally tortured for giving us their lands at gunpoint.
yep. not cynical at all.
seriously though I am thankful for my family and friends, and you guys and BioWare and everything i have.
gah! TOTP. you snuck up on me again!
Grush
