lol, that third picture cracked me up...

Kaidan: Who could have done this?!
Ashley: Well whoever it was they must be long gone by now...
Saren: BOO!

Also I can't help but notice the inverted commas around fans, come now, you choose this thread of all places to be weirded out by other people's sexual fantasies?...

Dear lord, was ME1's texture quality really that bad? I guess I was in too much awe from the story/characters/environments to notice...

The textures on garrus's face have always been awful on PC in ME1 due to a bug that won't be fixed. Although I don't remember saren ever looking that bad, could be that he swaped the models around and that caused something wrong, or maybe he's just experiancing texture pop-in?

My partner asked me this, between Garrus & Wrex. I said I would turn the xbox off and throw it out the window.

And ohh all those pics of Saren & Nihlus....I never liked slash fics until those two started popping up in the kink meme

Garrus is too cute for words. The Turian has some great dialogue. I wish he had more characters interaction. I got really annoyed with him sending me away so he could calibrate things. Plus Sheps cheeky little grin when she suggests working off tension together. She only gets that expression when chatting up Garrus. Love it. Can't wait to see him again in ME3. I will deeply love my Garrusmance playthough since it seems to be one of the ones that will carry through. Um, will they be waving it off if Garrus dies in a playthrough? If so anyone know how?

I played both versions, the 360 and the PC varients. I'm mostly a console gamer, but sometimes I'll boot up my rig when there's a really awesome PC game I have to play (IE Starcraft 2.) It's kind of cool but the PC varient of ME1 runs on standard Xbox code, being that the original Mass Effect was built from the ground up for consoles. If you dig deep enough in the ME2 code for the PC version, you can still see Xbox script!

Maybe the texture difficulties for the PC version were due to that? I wouldn't be surprised if that Xbox coding was still in ME3 when it launches!

Don't let him catch you saying that! He'll blush and then probably die of an awkward attack. I mean the poor guy had a hard enough time with Shepard, haha.

Can he blush? I mean he sure does fidget and get a bad case of foot in mouth disease. Um, what happens if I don't use the paragon interrupt during his "wooing" scene?

Edit: I wrote yous instead of use...Posted Image Oh over tired brain, you're so silly.

Nothing much, he pretty much just mumbles for a bit, asks you to throw him a line, then you get the option to call it off again. don't know what happens there though, cause I couldn't make myself do it. Not that I wanted to, anyway. Garrus really is just adorable.

Mythlover's pretty much right from what I remember, although when you get the chance to proceed or call it off, IMO, Shepard's response is a little less ... I'm sorry, but I cringe at the Paragon interrupt, even though...well, it's paragon. ;)  I can't even really put a finger on why.  I feel like the response at the 'carry on or not' is a bit more consistent with how I invision my Shepard actually reacting (and YMMV depending on how you see your Shepard). If only there was an interrupt with that as well...I don't have a problem with the interrupt and I've done it more often than not, but for Science, I went on, and I actually don't mind what comes after as long as you don't turn Garrus down.

That, I won't even do 'for sciene'. :crying:

And as an aside, nice to see you having a good time, Fleshy! *hug*!

No. I was going to say not without a very compelling reason (like the person I save is the only one who can do something to stop the Reapers), or "based on what  I know now", but no.

That doesn't mean that Bioware is invited to make a liar out of me, just to get that out there. :P

I can't think of a person I'd rather save over Garrus, and then Joker and Wrex came to mind.

Yah I wouldn't be able to dump him. Even for Thane. His romance felt a little booty call-ish with a side of deep friendship, like the ultimate friends with benefits, but I am pretty sure it was supposed to and I am glad we can build on that in ME3.

Posted Image I am having a good time! Evereyone is super helpful and sweet, here and in the Thane thread and it's nice to have new interests after months of DA2. My bf is super sad cause he bought me AC:R and I haven't played it yet, I am on playthrough number 4 for ME2 though, and I had to delete all my playthroughs and content to fit LotSB on my crappy Xbox. lol. Oh well, I will redo my canon playthrough in time  and then let DA2 rest until DA3 comes out,

You're welcome! :D Happy to help. In case anyone didn't know, there's another fic like it called Fire Between Beats that isn't on FFnet, since the original story idea was prompted on the ME kink meme. It's also a heartbreaking read: http://masseffectkin...659146#t2659146 (don't know about BSN's policy on links, so sorry if this is a no-no!)

That was actually the FF i was referring too before XP

I think what convinced me that it's a little bit more serious than booty-call/FWB was the "This isn't about that - this is about us" scene (referring to the whole cross-species thing for those with unreliable memories like me :P).  I think that was what won me over into full-on serious Garrus fandom. Brandon Keener delivers that so well, and the scene itself is well-done visually, I think.  (Reminds me of another charcter and VA I tend to squee over. ;) )

That exchange just made me all ":O...wow. Ok then!" :)

Yes, some of the textures are slow to pop in for me (mostly noticeable in cutscenes with Saren)... Also, graphics are just on high and not ultra-high. My ME1 also has both patches.

Sure, SarenxNihlus is a little weird for me but I don't mind it much...

I actually prefer to not interrupt him because Shep's interrupt seems rude to me. I know it's probably supposed to be "teasing" but the animation after she tells him to "stop worrying" makes her look like she's thinking "******."

*SPOILERS* for romance scene!

Garrus: If you were a Turian I'd be complimenting your waist or your fringe, so.. your hair... looks... good. And your waist is... very supportive. Hopefully that's not offensive in human culture. Crap, I knew I should have watched the vids. Throw me a line here, Shepard!

#1 Paragon Interrupt: Whoa! Consider me seduced, smooth talker. Now shut up and stop worrying. (drops smile, looks like "I can't believe I'm having sex with this loser.")

#2 Without interrupt ("Relax, let's do this" option): *smile* Calm down, Garrus. You're worrying too much. And talking too much. (I prefer this as being more friendly/respectful.)

#3 Breaking it off ("Maybe we make better friends" option): *serious/sad look* Garrus, we need to rethink this. I don't want to hurt our friendship.
Garrus: Yeah, you're right. Let's leave it be. Probably would have torn a ligament or something anyway. *rubs forehead, embarrassed* I'll let you get back to work, Shepard. And I'll be there when you need me. *leaves*
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tf9ymrI8Eno
(You can tell from watching this that it isn't just "blowing off steam" to him any more. He really sounds crushed but puts on a professional face.) I would love it if it were an option to romance him after the suicide mission or in ME3 after having chosen this path, because it seems like the characters really care for each other but the timing isn't right. Risking anaphylaxis two hours before a critical mission doesn't seem like something Shepard or Garrus would really do.
