For the Garrus hate... It's mostly because of the leaked script I think. As someone already said earlier on, team dextro got apparently more attention in game then other ME2 squadies and fans of other romances got annoyed.
Sad, so very sad :-(

I know this was a rough draft but is the game at a stage where the official script has been done? I'm worried the anti-dextro comments might make the writers change it (which would suck because garrus barely talked in ME2).

Oh, I highly doubt you need to worry about that. The writers aren't going to throw out a bunch of good ideas just because they're not loved by everyone. For example, Liara is ostracized for being Bioware's "favourite" all the time, but it's never affected the quality or quantity of her content. I'm sure Garrus and Tali will be as fantastic as promised (and I'm saying this as someone who's seen parts of the Garrus romance script).

Edit: Well, I guess Liara's content quantity WAS a bit shabby in ME2 But her DLC was quite well done, and I honestly don't believe that her sitting out for the main storyline had anything to do with her hates.

It's likely to be the other way - instead of reducing Garrus and Tali's content, they will most likely increase the content of the other characters. Reducing Team Dextro content will ****** off Team Dextro fans, and will do nothing in the way of pleasing the other fans aside from halting their anger. Iin the end, no one's happy.

My thoughts exactly, and if that content was still out of date, only the dev team knows what's been added since. I remember seeing tweets from some of the VAs that they've still been recording stuff fairly recently, so ... who knows.

WOW! Never read the spoilers, but THAT sounds Great to me! & I'm sure it's just an unfinished script.. 

Other than than, it's when stuff gets cut out that bums me out!

This reminds me of a comic I saw on DevArt about Garrus finding out they sold small collectible action figures of him in the ME universe. ^^

I would like to own one of those Garrus figures, but I don't think I have the room and money for it, and I think it would kind of freak my boyfriend out if I bought it. So no Garrus action figure for me. :c

And that playthrough ended up a stalemate on the Citadel.  (not enough charm/intimidate there)

For all the team dextro hate and the script being changed: NAH! Aint gonna happen. Dont wry guys. Realize that a good like.....90% of fans are in love with either Tali or Garrus in their top 5 characters of mass effect. Majority are in love with BOTH. I mean seriously, BW can't please everyone. They know it - but they do listen to feedback. Think of it-
-Fans meet Tali & Garrus in ME1, fell in love - they werent romancable.
-BW listened.
-In ME2 - Garrus and Tali were made into romance options due to such immense fan demands. Sadly, they werent the center of attention. Jacob and Miranda [and Mordin] were. Remember: "Call everyone for a staff meeting. We have a lot to discuss." *Only miri, jacob and mordin were there* Wtf? THAT annoyed quite a handful of ppl. Fans wanted more "Team dextro" to have more prominent roles.
-BW listened.
-Now "some" ppl get an OLD and UNFINISHED LEAKED script, discover team dextro has quite the big roles to play in the story and they are upset?

I call shaningans. BW KNOWS that Garrus and Tali are like the TOP favs. Do i need to pull out that Game Informer video where BW was interviewed on creating garrus?  They KNOW. They arent changing anything to THAT degree. On the contrary - like it was mentioned by a few of you here - they might make the other characters have more screen time.

I follow BW and various sites. And i keep up with updates everywhere.

I think i have an issue with Garrus related items. I dont think - just pure instinct to buy the dam item takes over XD

Garrus shirt - brought one on the 1st patch released.
Archangel litho - brought the 1st patch, which was autographed. Heck - i woke up early for that beautiful art :3
Garrus figure - preordered day 1.

.......Dam u garrus. I love you too much and my wallet suffers for it XD

My ONLY concern is one thing - I was actually considering to wait for a ME3 version to be made. But you know what? Screw it, If that gets made - ill buy that too! 2 Garrus' are better than one

I can honestly say we all agree on this. Garrus has alot of pent up pain and stress. He REALLY needs to vent. Whether its to femshep or maleshep. Not that i can imagine him ever taking the opportunity though. I wouldnt say he's "emotionally constipated". Garrus has never been the type to just dump all his issues on anyone. He doesnt want to burden anyone. He sees shepard have enough worries, and he must feel that why should he add to it by making shepard worry or "waste time" being concerned for hiom when there are more important things that need his/her attention. Of course none of us feel this way - we love garrus, but that's what i believe was Garrus' POV. He wants to help shep, not burden her. On the contrary, he has her back and jokes with her to help bring a smile on her face. Its the least he can do.

We've gone over this ages ago that even when he asks shepard to help him on his LM, he asks like he thinks its an inconvenience to her. To only help out IF she has the time for it. She on an important mission; he feels that his "little" request means nothing but further burdens. Like taking time she needs for his own agenda. He keeps so much to himself, bottled up :/ OF COURSE we would love to help you out Garrus! Don't think that ur problems are ever anything not important to shepard!

Even that line says alot. Garrus is one of those ppl you gotta read b/w the lines.
That whole conversation - I saw: I know youre too busy with the collectors and the reapers. Managing this crazy suicide mission.....But if you can find the time to help me with this, I'd appreciate it. If its too much trouble, then its ok. I know you have more pressing matters to tend too. There's still no other place I rather be than here.
.....I'll be here if you need me Shepard.

Something along those lines is what I though more or less.
Now like i said - Garrus isnt much for "venting". He's always kept things to himself, even away from his family.
I would actually love it for him to have a moment where he confides in shepard on a more emotional level. Whether friendship or romance. He needs it.

....and a hug.

Well said, and agreed every line of it. Garrus is a tough guy, but not that tough. There's room for some venting. He can even cry in my shoulders if he wants/needs to. I can at the same time cry as well.

Seriously, he needs to let out some of his worries. No one should keep that kind of stuff bottled up. Its not healthy  He needs to know that its ok to vent. Shepard [male or female] wont think any less of him if he did. On the contrary, it'll just further strengthen the bond they share as bros, or a couple.
If u need to cry into my shoulder, or cover ur face so no one sees, it ok sweetheart
or just a simple cuddle. Its all ok.

And yes, when i typed that - i thought the same thing Chewin I miss the old days. *hug*
