the ME books are remarkably good, actually. and they're written by the writers of the game which is useful. unlike many other video game books....
they pertty much give backstory that is onl yhinted at in the games...

regarding the Dark Horse comics..... the art is atrocious. its not just bad, its utterly terrible. and turian females should have fringes... all things considered. even Garrus' comment "if ou were turian i'd compliment you on your fringe" .... but i've never read the comics (i'm poor) and cannot really speak about their content. needless to say KimShepard loved them ( i miss her) and she was a HUGE Saren fan. so i'd guess they're not entirely inaccurate.

getting back to the novels.... if you get the chance, read them. Saren is a bastard. but i wouldn't call him heartless... not even remotely. He gets the job done. he does what he must and sometimes he's ruthless.... i still would never in amillion years call him heartless. *shrug*

Oh sorry if it come out wrong! I totally said that in a friendly manner. Damn you internet for not allowing me to express emotions properly Was just explaining why I'm always a step back about gameverses' books, that's all If most people think they're good, then I might give them a try.

See, now you hit the point. I don't expect turian females to be "droolable", never did. But for instance, the lack of fringe gets me some brain itches because from what I read (and I might be wrong on this) the fringe is a kinda essencial part in turian structure, and was developed from the need to protect the more-fragile-skin head-wise (this sounds terribly wrong in my brain, lol!) from the sun and radiation.
I'm not saying we should go on deviantart and say "Hey ho, this fanart is the stuff we should be seeing in the books and not the things Dark Horse has come up with", not at all. Professionals are professionals, amateurs are amateurs, and even if some amateurs are more skilled then the some professionals, well, BioWare put the comics in the hands of the Dark Horse ones. Can't do anything now - but I think either side could learn with the other. That's all

And I like purple, I'm partial on that

December is easy since it’s all “YAY CHRISTMAS!” but you’re right , jan and feb are going to be a drag.  I’m going to make sure I don’t rush this last game though. I sped through ME1 the first time because I just wanted to get on with the second game and I rushed ME2 more than I should have because Garrus’s loyalty didn’t activate for fracking AGES (it was just bad luck). So I kept doing missions because I wanted to hear the romance dialogue so badly. I've discovered this thread yesterday and was trying to catch up. Such awesome art, such awesome comments, and such interesting discussions Thanks for how you handled the spoilers! Turians and, in a more specific way, Garrus, have become my latest obsession.

Im actually doing the same. Im working on another playthru and literally taking my time on it. Sure, ive done loads of 100% completed playthrus, but now im exploring for EVERY possible hidden dialog there is. Heck, for example- i replayed the derelict reaper mission repeatedly to hear everyones comments during the mission
Sadly, i havent had much time for me2, or gaming in general cuz im working and well....life.
The file i made has been such a WIP for MONTHS. I went back to ME1 and did EVERYTHING. I want a career where i have 100% in both me1 and 2. She's also my canon shep. I left off on....hmmmm....Im doing Tali's LM [about to head off to the alarei] and then Jack's LM, last 3 galaxy missions, then IFF. Already did all other LMs.

Different Horizons
Theres really NO smut here. Like one or two paragraphs towards the middle. And towards the end, it gets SOO GOOD. I went to sleep like at 6am today trying to finish it cuz the last chapters got me so hooked! Stupid suspense!XD
My only complaint: Kaiden seemed VERY OC  Then again - ironically even shepard says the same thing during the FF. heh.

edit: BLAHHHHH TOTPG!? Hmmmmm we meet again my old friend. I will post a pic in another post. This one is long enuff X3
