lol I just noticed that half the shots of Garrus in his armor in that picture are butt shots...

No complaints just an observation, I certainly don't mind.

wow my first post in here and I am talking about Garrus's butt.

By the way, been lurking for awhile and you guys are pretty awesome!

I really don't care either way. I assumed they would remove the carapace to give us better affection animations since there would be less clipping to worry about.  Plus the armour around the neck (where the carapace would have been) is very thin now, leading me to believe it's just a fashion thing.

Well, (as of ME2) they do unique animations for the romance scenes anyway, so...

No carapace does make turian casual wear a little confusing. Unless they are super, super paranoid about someone garroting them.

I'm torn, because while carapace makes more sense, that concept art has a really nice backline indicated. I am a sucker for backlines.

Indeed. Very interesting. I've been sidelined by my hardest final but this describes me after catching up...in a good way of course! Sadly, putting a visor on the kitty is currently beyond my skills, but I'm trying!

I know....the plot thickens.....Well, he is techninically still with the Turian military right? And they definiately will be needing some reinforcements....

New Rank? Hmmmmmmm. Interesting ;D He is with the turian military again, so Im guessing they gave him quite the snazzy new title. they do know that he stopped Saren&Sovereign [well...the geth. Due to the council's "dismissed claim".] Did they hear about the collector base? I wonder.

I will still love him with a carapace. If anything, I think it signifies that turians are a more alien species, and look the part. I also think it makes the romance have more meaning, that despite not being humanoid, they will be together because of a mutual trust and a strong bond between them.

This is where I stand. Its just confusing. I somehow doubt its gone. Thats just CONCEPT - its not FINAL. Realize that Garrus is displayed there with all his visors, on the bottom they used the ME2 head with the bandage and such, making some of the art needing update and such.

IDK - I doubt he has no carapace. How would that explain when hes out the armor?


This just raised more questions then answers.
IF this is true...........why do I get the feeling that BW made Garrus' carapace disappear just so that the romance scenes worked out better? Oh gawd no. Please no.

NGL, gonna be bummed and weirded out if he actually appears shirtless and he doesn't have the carapace. Like Arcian said, the carapace is more alien and doesn't have to be a big, cumbersome thing. Please please do not make him MORE human looking, that's going to look MORE off and creepy - IMO.

I know! I'm insanely jealous of/in love with her drawing skills! I hope she wins!! I'm currently reading her fanfic too. Actually... I used to avoid fanfics like the plague until I started coming here...and now they're all that's filling the empty
