I'm around, I'm just working on fic of my own and proofreading someone else's.  

I want to portray Kaidan and Garrus as more bros than they are being in my PT, but since I'm ignoring Kaidan so I don't get ninjamanced, well, I'm gonna have to improvise that when I write Horizon. *sigh* 

Canon-shep is totally friend-zoning Liara as well - but again, I'm trying to avoid her so I don't get ninjamanced.

And about the Williams/Kaidan scenario, I think Garrus sees Kaidan more of a friend and has more of a "respect relationship" with Ashley. Or maybe he likes to call her Williams. Some people call other people by their last names.

Didn't Wrex also refer to Ashley as Williams?

I'm writing a fanfic where he tends to refer to her as Williams even though they're on friendlier terms by the time Horizon takes place, on really friendly terms if you catch my drift.

I wonder if Garrus was on bro terms with Wrex aftet ME1?

I play XBox, but let me see if I can get a phone shot of it (if I still have that armor somewhere). If nothing else I might be able to get it from an old save. It was pretty darn funny, especially since I was thinking of something I used to say in MMOs - 

"I don't care if it's pink with purple and green polka-dots and says "LOSER" in flashing letters. If the stats are good enough, I'll still wear it." 



That's the only thing that made putting that armor on Garrus worth tolerating, and he got upgraded before Shepard, I think. He looks much better now.

I brought that up in the classic thread Obsy But anyways - i support it too! Or at least the fact that they got along well. Ash didnt like aliens in me1 [and well- kinda still doesnt :/ ] so Im sure Garrus didnt get close to her as a friend as a way to not step on her toes or anything. Kinda avoiding getting on her bad side since she's a xenophobe. I see it as just a mutual respect b/w the two - hopefully in me3 they become better friends.

and there was mention here about wrex and garrus on "bro terms" - i say ABSOLUTELY! Garrus teasing Wrex in that one clip is enough proof XD He teased Wrex at becoming "soft" and forgetting to hold a gun! You cant do THAT to Wrex unless 1)You have a quad, and/or 2) you're a good friend to him.

There is just so much awesome on this page! The Saren pictures are great, and that screenshot of Wrex might be the most adorable thing I have ever seen a krogan do. Also, the image of Garrus with the caption that says Wrex kept him drunk so he wouldn't follow Shepard to death... it's so sad, but such a great bro moment, and quite possibly true. Wrex, where were you when Saren died, huh? You didn't stop my MainShep from getting herself killed.

You know, there seems to be a lot of *death* here in general. I may have to get the Lazarus Project from TIM. xD

Do they move back into your inventory, or are they lost? Thanks for the quick answer! That's too bad about your Shepard though. Hopefully you still remember where you found the armors before.

About Garrus' relationships with the ME1 crew: I think he's friends with Tali and Wrex for sure, and that he would have more of a strained friendship with Kaidan after Horizon, but they no doubt got along well in ME1. He probably respects Liara and Ashley, but doesn't really seem close to either one.

Anyone think Garrus kept in contact with anyone after the whole me1 adventure? Something tells me that besides Shepard, he kept in contact with Tali. Or at least in my headcanon he did. When Shep was declared dead - I really think Wrex tried to console him. Garrus probably stayed isolated and kept things bottled up, but someone mustve caught on that he was hurt in more ways than one. I do think Tali reached out to him and they kept in contact for awhile before he cut ties and left to Omega. As for Wrex - we all know wrex isnt mushy. Heck, when Shepard asked about his family he said "Are you trying to make me cry, Shepard?" XP But I do think he tried to keep Garrus well....intact, so to speak.
I could definitely see Wrex finding out that Garrus has been losing his way months later and comes barging into his apartment to get him out of his slump.

Garrus:....Wrex? What are you doing here?
Wrex: Heard you lost your quad. 
Garrus: *sigh* Funny Wrex. How did you even get through C-Sec customs?
Wrex: Helping to save the Council gives me perks. 
Garrus: You must be riveting that fact then. Why come to see me...I bet your here for the supposed "fish" on the presidum.....
Wrex: HA! I tried. Some C-Sec officier tried to "advice" me to stop til he saw who I was. Pissed his uniform like a newborn vorcha. But Im not here for that. Im here to get your cr@p back together. 
Garrus: Go away Wrex....Not in the mood. *sits at a desk, messing with a datapad*
Wrex: *grabs datapad and throws it across the room* Stop acting like such a whelp. 

Id type more in but I might just end up writing some short fanfic XD Anyways, Wrex would drag Garrus to have some drinks and such. Kinda giving him the brotherly tough love. Wrex aint afraid to say it how it is, even if its harsh. But its stuff Garrus needs to hear, and Wrex is the only one qualified to do it.

With the only other stuff Garrus had going on in his life, either Spectre training that didn't work out or a job with C-Sec that was just as frustrating as it was pre-Shepard, it's no surprise he left to try and do some good elsewhere.

Indeed - Wrex is no stranger to tough life experiences. He got betrayed by his clan and killed his own father for crying out loud. Thats......well...no words that really describe that. Its harsh. Something like that can break you if you let it >.< [wait - did i almost just quote shepard? XD] With so much going on, everyone had something in their lives when it came down to it. Well - not really Liara, Ash and Kaiden, since they stayed with Shepard. Jacob even said that Tali was on board when the collector ship attacked o.O He mentioned " the quarian - made it out alive". So i guess afterwards, Tali returned to the flotilla. Wrex probably ventured around as a merc, and then returned after awhile when he figured out his infamous "plans". I can see Garrus and Kaiden keeping in contact, but nothing huge. Its obvious that Garrus and Shepard exchanged emails due to the whole friendship blossoming from the student/mentor relationship.

In my head canon - I see the crew contacting Garrus after shep's death, not really the only way around. Particularly Tali and maybe kaiden,or Joker. Wrex would be the confrontational type and just go to see Garrus and snap him out of his slump. Hey who knows, wrex couldve reminded garrus what shepard wanted for him. To keep fighting and stride for the greater good and such. Except Wrex would just be more harsh and blunt. Tough love garrus. "Shepard showed ya to fight for what you wanted. Dont wait around like a damn quarian, hoping for some miracle to get their homeworld. Take it like a krogan and charge straight at it head-on."

I may have seen that. I definitely sympathize with writing 'stage fright'. I just made my first fanfic snippet contribution to the MEG fan group today, and I am freaking the hell out right now from nervousness. It worked out OK so far on Fanfic, but still...Yeah. I get it. But the experience is also wonderful, which is why I am still writing, and why I want to write a ME fic as I go in playing my ME2 'canon'.

Obviously, it would be F!ShepXGarrus...but I know there are already several very good writers of that out there already...so this one makes me nervous too.  

Pretty please? *puppy eyes* There's potential there I think!
