Hey guys! I usually hang out in the Joker thread, but I love Garrus too!
I can't wait for ME3, and hopefully the chance to continue my romance with Garrus! :) I hope to post here more often!

Also...I really like this picture :)

EDIT: Well...there's ToP Garrus! Haha

I'm new to the thread too.  I can't wait for my Shepard to continue her relationship with Garrus, either.  And mmmm, that picture is steamy.  I approve ;)

Oh, mine too.  I like to picture him and Shepard fighting crime together throughout the galaxy for years to come after they deal with this Reaper problem ;)

I wonder if Garrus will become a Spectre after the events of ME3. I mean it was mentioned somewhere that he was targeted as a potential candidate but Garrus' father stopped it from happening.

Also, I really hope we will meet Garrus' family in ME3. :D I want his mother to show us baby Garrus pictures (and tell all the embarassing facts). :P

Hi Arc! Nice to have you back. And I bet you leave as quick as you came...

And hey Pepper! Nice to have another slave. . . er. . . friend here in the Garrus thread.

And can someone tell me where the heck BubbleSauce is!? I must admit, I miss that guy.

Mainshep is doing the archangel recruitment right now Posted Image Man, this mission NEVER gets old it’s just that good. Easily the best one in the game, it’s, its own suicide mission if you think about it. The odds are heavily stacked against you, you have to make choices (who stays with garrus) you have to fight off different waves of enemies and you have to keep your team mate ALIVE. It felt just as desperate and adrenaline filled as the final mission in a lot of ways. Also it’s the first time shepard is frightened that her team mate is about to die, so it really hits you emotionally when she’s telling him to hold on.
Also this mission has a lot of great renegade interrupts, but I like to believe I didn’t actually kill cathka though. That I only just stunned him Posted Image. Unlike others (pushing mercs out of windows, shooting them) his interrupt was a bit more ambiguous, so my paragon leaning shep didn't feel so bad about it.

For some reason I can never kill Cathka. He's probably a terrible person, but he always comes across as just some regular Joe.

I know what you mean. I also think that this is one of the tougher (if not the toughest) missions in the game.  I always get nervous when I have to do his mission.  One of my absolute favorites though because its always challenging.  I felt a big sense of accomplishment when I beat it on Insanity

I always kill Cathka because I'm afraid beating the gunship will be harder if I don't.

CAthka *is* working too hard...to make my mission tougher. He needs to take a break. ;) *evil*

One of the few renegade actions I take every.single.time.

I had been spoiled to the fact that archangel was Garrus, so Cathka never stood a chance. I sabotaged the hell out of those mercs. Plus my Shep is a Colonist and isn't too fond of batarians. I totally felt no remorse for killing him, cause seriously, you kill a bagillion more mercs just like him later :|

I didn't feel a bit of hesitation when it came to kill Cathka. The man was a merc terrifying innocent people across omega. He was a criminal of among the worst sorts. My paragon Shepards killed him just as quickly as my Renegades did.

On another note, I am assuming at least one person on this thread has read at least one of Franz Kafka's works. The similarities between Cathka's and Kafka's names struck me the second I heard Cathka's name spoken during my first playthrough. I have been wondering on the connection ever since, because it's just too close to be a coincidence. Has anyone from Bioware mentioned something. Probably not but still, it's been bugging me ever since I first started playing ME2.

Nah, I didn't do the interrupt on Cathka. That Weyrloc dude though... he ALWAYS goes down on the interrupt. XD

@Chewin: Thanks! Er...slave? XD

@the current discussion: I always renegade interrupted Cathka. I couldn't let him fix that gunship, haha. I kinda felt bad...but then again I didn't. XD

Same here

when I first played Garrus recruitment I had no idea what the gunship had to do with anything so I jsut left it alone... The little paragon in me told me it would be crazy if I started killing any merc who might eventually attack me.

On the next runs I felt compeled to use the interrupt because it would help Garrus but I managed to keep it for my big bad renegades.

The Weyrloc speach interrup on the other hand I only kept off of it on my bestest paragons. I guess by the time I get to it I have my mind pretty much set on killing the ones who run the facillity

On the subject of interrupts... Anyoen has a specific place in the game they think Garrus should have made a renegade/paragon interrupt?

This would be adorable. :D I'd like to see what a baby turian looks like in-game. There's some great fanart of them.

I agree. I was nervous during that whole mission, even though I had read the spoilers and knew Garrus would survive. It was a similar feeling to the one I had playing the suicide mission for the first time - knowing exactly what to do to ensure everyone's survival, but still worried about them. Shepard's emotion during that scene was great.

Most of my Shepards will take that interrupt. I really like most of the Renegade interrupts, except the one with Mouse on Thane's loyalty mission. That one seemed unnecessarily cruel, but a lot of them involve Shep killing people who would have tried to kill them later.

Besides the one I've mentioned here before, that any LI should speak up when someone's flirting with (the annoyingly silent) Shepard, I'll have to think about it.

My main Shepard does a few of the Renegade interrupts during Garrus's recruitment mission, even though she's a mainly Paragon character. She may be a Spacer and had a relatively easy childhood, but she's a Sole Survivor too and sometimes does the "evil" thing when the person deserves it or it gives them an advantage in battle (or it's really, really funny). I love the Renegade interrupt when you're talking to the recruitment merc for the freelancers ;)

Oh, Garrus, I hope you provide us with even more exclusive Garrus missions in ME3. I want as much of this turian as I can get!

I like the headbump too. :) It's nice to look at the picture and think that Garrus and Shepard adopted a baby turian sometime after saving the galaxy.

Edit: Top of the page again? All right... here, have a Garrus next to a waterfall.

Does anyone else find it ironic that I'm posting a screenshot of a mission I've never played? xD
