I have a question about ME3. I've heard conflicting things about this but could someone please clarify if this is true?
I heard that you cannot have a romance with Garrus in ME3 if you did not romance him in ME2. Is that true?
Thanks!

I believe that's true.. If you're starting out on ME3, there should be some form of a short story to play for you, so you can chose what past options you did just like ME2's Mass Effect: GenesisPlainOLJane2 wrote...

Hey thanks!
I hope the save game generator is true. I've been replaying ME2 to prep for ME3 but it feels a bit like a chore. I'm too excited for ME3.

Yeah, I guess you're right. It's a good thing Shepard survived through it tho, otherwise...well you know.

Sorry for the continued photo-spamming, but when I saw this I had to plug this epic Garrus/Chellick/Femshep (in progress) fanfiction that I recently discovered. www.fanfiction.net/s/7196329/1/

This seems to be true, but I guess we won't really know until the game comes out.

ME3 is going to be one of a kind when it comes to bioware romances because it’s the first game you get to be “with” your chosen LI from the get go. Not all the LI’s obviously since I’m sure there needs to be some reconciliation with the VS for example, but generally speaking most of them will be in a relationship with shep right from the start. This is potentially magnificent for a number of reasons
1. There won’t be a need to “rush through” most of the game just to see something happen between the characters. They will already be in a relationship so hopefully this means romantic scenes and dialogue will be spread more evenly over the course of the game rather than right at the end. As much as I squee when I see the headbump I also realize it means the game is about to end
2. Other characters are going to be more aware of who you are with now and so it’s safe to assume hilarity will ensue
3. This means they might change up the usual formula so that the romance subplot will have a few surprises this time.

I haven’t read the script so I don’t know how MUCH content the garrus/femshep romance is going to have (I’m really hoping it’s a lot) but a thought just occurred to me.

watched the little clip with the kinect demo. It looks epic, more so because I tend to verbally give Garrus commands already ie: "Arg! Garrus move!" and now instead of him standing there until I move him somewhere he'll just move. Too cool.
"Garrus honey? Shoot that merc for me would you babe"

Exactly. "Garrus, intercept that missile! With your face!" That should be in there. and Garrus should be able to respond. Just to make the game a kajillion times more awesome.

By the way has anyone watched the spike TV special yet? I havethe new footage looked AMAZING! And I squee'd cos you see and hear more of garrus *is hopeless*.
Garrus is not my first favorite character to have a scar that covers half his face. Not even close. He's not even the only one who is also a sharpshooter. My favorites are a very specific type, apparently...UrsulaCousland wrote...

Speaking for your fans, Garrus, yes, we do.
Who is that turian? He looks like he has a scar too, judging by the cracked faceplates.k8ee wrote...

Agreed on those two, and I'm going to add Saren to the list. His fringe is just awesome.outmane wrote...
After all the Turian goodness posted on the last 2 pages I have to say Garrus and Nihlus are prebably the best looking Turians out there. Garrus has those very clean markings and the shading of his faceplates makes him look kinda feline-ish.
and Nihlus is just plain badass. His red tone is pertty unique.
I second this. After ME3 comes out, I imagine that this will be one of the happiest threads on the forum.Mims wrote...
I don't think anyone will be disappointed with Garrus' romance.
That could be true. Saren and the turian councillor have longer mandibles too, and Saren was 44 years old as of ME1. The turian child from Evolution also had very small mandibles.fatalfeline wrote...
I have this theory brewing that turian mandible length corresponds to age. Garrus is portrayed as pretty young... twenty-something, right? His mandibles barely go past his chin. Then look Executor Pallin who has been in CSec for thirty years... which would place him around fifty-something. His mandibles are hella long.
