Love Garrus to death. If only because his romance isn't hokey or lovey dovey or over the freaking top.

I'm going to be really sad and disappointed if a romanced Garrus calls Shepard 'Love' however, or any other sweet fluffy bunny wunny nickname. Leave that sappy crap at the door, Garrus. I date you because you are a Turian and Turians are too metal to be affectionate.

Literally.

As a turian, the guy needs a bit of time to get used to what a human woman wants. Its clear hes gonna overdo it at first.Just use your 'Commander Shepard' tone a few times and hes gonna walk straight after that. :bandit:

REQUESTING!!!!

Requesting higher rez picture of Garrus + another unknown turian @ 0:55 of GT TVs episode.

This is just a shot in fullscreen that I took from the Gametrailers site, I was trying to get as much of that other turian before he turned away.  I can't even tell what his facial markings look like, though, because the clip is blurry.

Alright, thanks so much.

If he breaks out the guitar and starts singing reggae poetry to me with a chorus of hired Hanar backup singers, I am going to be very disappointed in Bioware.

Just did “eye for an eye “Posted Image My import is coming along nicely.

I brought thane along for this mission because I think it works really well story wise.  I make sure to take him along before he tells shepard about his wife so that the reveal has a bit more impact.

Thane as you know, was in garrus’s position ready to gun down a target until irikah blocked the shot.

I imagine it was startling for him to watch shepard step in front of sidonis like his siha did when he first met her.  The deja vu probably brought back fond memories. When thane talks to shepard about her later, I choose this moment for shepard to have a moment of clarity

“she woke me up”

“she met my eyes through the scope...and my purpose faltered”

Her words were able to get through to garrus despite his anger because she means more to him than she realized.  I understand thane still falls for femshep even if you don’t romance him (calling her siha) so I also like to pretend thane was being gracious despite his own personal feelings.  That he saw something special there and was trying to subtlety  tell shepard “garrus cares about you ”.
Role playing is fun Posted Image

I brought Thane along for that mission too,but your reason is awesome! Now I have another reason to save Sidonis.

Edit: I'm about to start "Eye for an eye" as we speak for my canon/import Shepard. That is all.

Aww, Garrus with a pet varren! :D And that bird/turian comparison is so cute.

@Hyrule: I like to take Thane on Garrus' loyalty mission too, but because I normally play the Renegade path, it kind of has the opposite effect of a Shepard who talks Garrus out of killing Sidonis. I can only imagine what Thane is thinking when my FemSheps stand between Garrus' gun and his target... and then moves out of the way. xD

Do turians have other eye colors than blue and green?

I was playing ME1 and I noticed that the turian who is arguing with the hanar in Citadel has green eyes.

I'm just curious. :D

Thank you!

I've definitely seen turians with other eye colors. Gold and brown, at least.

I think you'll be happy with Garrus' romance in ME3, and this is coming from someone who read the spoilers.

Stop...testing my patience D; My Dragon Age Origins recently broke so I decided to do a speed run with ME2 while waiting for a replacement in the mail. I was enamored with Garrus during the "I want to try with you"  conversation, that I forgot that where the paragon choices normally are, is where the break up choice is.

Needless to say, that when I saw my Shepard back up and start to say: "Garrus, I respect you too much as a friend to-" I immediately shut off my PS3.

Good choice, turning off the PS3 before Shep finishes talking. I've never watched the break-up scenes, but I've been told that they're heartbreaking. D:

And here I thought my telling everyone that the Garrus romance will be great would actually keep some people from reading spoilers. ^^; That was the plan, at least. So there wouldn't be as much temptation because no one is worried.

At that particular point, Garrus handles it pretty well; I know because I accidentally did the same thing and ended up reloading my game. It's not until the cutscene where he comes to your quarters that breaking up with him seems to really disappoint him. It's really sad.

That was just because he had gotten all excited about getting a piece of FemShep. He had already called his homeboys (Chellick and Pallin) in C-Sec and told them the deal was sealed. She anticipated that, however, and shot him down before he could race into the danger zone.

/Garrus' sadness as explained by a person with a y chromosome

I did the exact same thing! Damn them for switching around the conversation options at such a crucial moment!  Had to turn off the Xbox before broke his heart:crying:

Hello fellow Garrus fans:) I know I'm always in the Kaidan thread,I've mostly only lurked in this thread but I do indeed love Garrus,I always take him with me on any mission, in both ME1 and ME2.

Garrus makes an amazing best friend if you dont romance him. I hope he helped your FemShep pull through all the ME2 crazyness without her biotic soldierboy by her side. We'll see if he forgives the VS for walking away in a few weeks;)

Yesh Garrus does make an amazing best friend:wub: He really did help my femshep, though it was hard not to romance him:P  but my main femshep is made for Kaidan.I did make a new femshep just for Garrus though,so he does get some lovin.

...I am so tempted to read through those spoilers to see Garrus' romance... D: Especially if they're as good as everyone is saying that they are. LOL

I can't do it, though. It'll be so much better experiencing it in the game, rather than read about it...no matter how much my curiosity begs me to. XD

Don't do it. There's nothing to worry about. In fact, if you have the straight up files they might just come across as confusing. Some people have pieced them together admirably, but the majority of lines are pretty much line after line with very little indication of who is saying what.

Some people honestly don't mind spoilers, and but if you even slightly think you'd enjoy it more in the game, it isn't worth ruining it.

[Not to mention, I'm pretty sure if you look at all of Garrus' lines, you'll spoil other parts of the game! Its very hard to just selectively pick out a spoiler to find.]

^ Precisely why I haven't already done it. I've managed to not intentionally read any spoilers so far, I can hold out until ME3 comes out!

Thanks! :)

I know I'll enjoy it more, not knowing what's going to happen.

Considering what "surprises" the Garrus romance offers, I would wait 'til March if I were you.

It's like 46 days away. I'm sure you can handle it.

That's such a long time.

I wish I could totally forget about ME3 and then just be pleasantly surprised when it gets delivered to my house on release day. No games are going to be able to hold my attention until then.

I'm doing the midnight launch at my store and because of that I'll have to stay over at my friends house. That means I can't just camp out immediately after I get mine with my import and everything. Bah it's like waiting another day!

That's why I replaying ME1 and 2 XD I can't focus on anything else, game wise, hahaha.

@Chewin: I can definitely handle 46 days! Even if it does feel like a long time...haha
