Finally.....some Garrus dialogue info...I was starting to worry, that Garrus will have scarce dialogue like in ME2......at E3 demo he was like totally mute person...I don't remember him saying a single word in any of the demos!

I hope Garrus finally gets HUGE attention, after all he is BioWare trademark character now, just like Shepard.

about 2 months ago, Mr. Keener had it on his facebook page that he was recording Garrus dialogue. so ... that means that there's a crapton of it if they'er still working on it now.

we got lucky though that he is back. 
apparently, Mr. Beattie is probably not Mordin again.

Thats what i like of Garrus tread. Theres a little place for everyone. Even the saddly normal ones like me :innocent:. 


As for Garrus having no dialogue at the E3 demo, i think he actually had a few lines describing the situation at hand (some im-a-tactical-guy quips). They are not the same as the usual ME2 ones and easier to hear on some later presentation of the salarian world demo (the first showing had them eclipsed by the devs talking).

Heh, no I am in fact not a women, and wow guys, thanks for being so... well, accepting! I guess I can tuck the flame shield away for now... (well, at least on this thread anyway...)

In terms of garrus' dialogue in mass effect 3, well I think we all knew he was going to be far more fleshed out in mass effect 3, he has to be after the whole "calibrations" debacle. And besides as Darek Watts put it himself, garrus gets a lot of attention not only on forums, but also in the um *cough* art department... He's become a bona fide fan favourite, it would frankly be extremely foolish for bioware to ignore him, and it would really anger people.

Also from his shadow broker dossier, I think bioware have set up a couple of interesting plot points surrounding his character, since mass effect 3 will be the end of shepards timeline, which most likely will also sadly mean the end of garrus' timeline, I would expect all of these points to be touched upon, so I think it's safe to say that bioware has got us garrus fans covered, at least from what I can tell.

The same rules apply to other races, Turians in particular - for them humans are ugly, they are "barefaced" and have no exoskeleton.

So it's a matter of taste and preference - besides, for FemShep and Garrus it's not as much about looks, as about soul and personality of their partner.

If we saw an Human Asian Woman walking with black/eskimo/indian partner - some people would show biggotry and some admiration - it's just human thing and probably accords to any alien sentient race, that actually can exist in our universe - out there - on distant undiscovered planets.

Personally I consider Garrus romance the best one for FemShep - Garrus simply is very legit towards FemShep and as character would never hurt her feelings, let alone phisicaly. Definetly for him, it's not "one-time" thing, he might aim for long term (even permanent) relationship with FemShep in ME3.

Does Garrus look like a lizard to any of you guys? I mean, that seems to be the single most common 'insult' against him, that he's a 'lizard man', but I can't help but be completely perplexed by it! When I first saw him I thought he looked like a mix between a cat (nose/mouth shape) and a bug (mandibles/exoskeleton). Albeit, a pretty awesome looking catbug, but still. Then I found out that turians are bird-influenced. I could see some of that too. So by this point any singular animal influences are too diluted for me to be able to make a visual comparison. They're just turians to me now. I see more human in them than any animal.

But lizard? I don't see it at all. Are they looking at Thane? I mean, seriously. I R CONFUZED.

i always think cat dragon. but .... i love cats and dragons, so am somewhat biased. i can see the avian thing in the eyes a bit... but thats really it.

i agree. they're just turian. which, makes sense.....

....we are related to monkeys...so, if Turians know, what monkeys on Earth look like, I'm sure a biggot Turian would say: "Shepard?!?!...that female human Spectre?.....but...she looks like a monkey! .....or a Pyjak!.....how can you do it.. well you know Garrus....with "her" (biggotic euphemism for "it")?.....YOU MAKE ME SICK Garrus"
So yeah...I belive this Turian appearance "looking much alike this and that" argument is just pointless.: )

Okay, add dragons to my 'things I can sort of see in turian faces' list.

Aaaand, now I'm imagining a fanfic about a kid on Shanxi reading some fantasy novel and then the occupation happens and he sees his first turian and he's all, "Holy fragglerock DRAGONS DO EXIST!"

My first though when I saw turians? Dragons with kitty faces. But really, everyone sees something different, which is the point.. they are supposed to be one of the most alien-looking non-human species. It's not nice to come into a thread dedicated to turians and say "you guys are weird to find them attractive" though.

When it comes to me - I find Turians not the most attractive, but rather simply the most interesting alien spieces.
What is also backed up with my wish to explore Palaven to learn more about them.
