Read it. Loved it.
@robyn278
It's because of the way he reacts after that initial hit that kept me interested. Up until then, I was mortified with the whole thing, and was going to nix it. Garrus and his "popping the heat sink" and then his "algorithms" lines had me change my mind. ^^
Regardless, I'm can't wait to play ME3. 32 more days for us antipodeans.

So since we've talked about the Tali/Garrus to death, who would you guys like to see Garrus with besides Femshep? I really would like a badass Turian lady for him. Ash would be one hot fling, though

My first thought would be anyone who isnt into it because they have been rejected by shepard... but thats probably just a reaction to the whole Tali/Garrus thing
I woul see him with someone who is very commited to a cause. Like an other vigilante but it could also be more subtile. Someone less impulsive but with solid ideals could work.
Im not against your idea of ME1 Ashley. Maybe ME3 Jack could have something to offer.
If he finds a femanle Turian, she would have to be ok with his rebel attitude. I know many people believe that Shep should be the only non turian Garrus would fall for but I just think that as a 'bad turian' he is more likely them most of his species to look for a partner of an other culture.

Of the crew, I've said it before and I'll say it again: Ashley, softened in ME1, and with a loooot of groundwork laid out. But even that seems such a stretch.
So I'm back to female turians. Hey BW, I get that you might not want to show them. That's cool; I could live with it just being an aside, a dropped comment, or an intercepted email. Or even better, just don't bring up character-character romances at all and let our imaginations fill in the blanks.

I was hoping for female turians and that gar would flirt with a badass one if you're not in a relationship with him.
See? Exactly. Badass turian lady with our (unromanced) badass turian man. I can go for that. Yeah, definitely.

I always thought that Dr. Michel's affection towards him (if that's what it is) was cute, but admittedly I don't see them working out.
I really can't picture him with any currently-established characters, to be honest. I always figured that if Shepard never romances him, he'll eventually end up with some turian woman he meets in the future. Either that or, I guess, he could end up alone...not necessarily because he wants to, but because settling down with someone might be hard to accomplish when your main hobby is being a vigilante.
I don't see him ending up with that recon scout, because he doesn't appear to have stayed in contact with her and the galaxy is pretty huge. (I also question the notion that he was a ladies man just because he's had a fling before. Many people have those, and it doesn't necessarily make them Casanovas.)
Or even better, just don't bring up character-character romances at all and let our imaginations fill in the blanks.
I'd prefer this, really, for pretty much any character who isn't Tali.

Cool! I didn't think about the more mature, "softened" Jack in ME3...could be interesting! Now that you mention it, it does make more sense for Garrus to be with a non-Turian since he's a "bad turian" and such. He's probably so focused on trying to be a "good turian" that he didn't even realize his attraction to other species. Makes sense
I could see him falling for an Asari, but one who is calm, dedicated and of similar badassery to Shepard. I think he works best with someone who is more mature, perhaps even older, than him. I think that boy needs some mothering in addition to some loving <3

This made me realize that we never really got to know any turians in the entire series besides Garrus, since he's been the only turian squadmate. That's a bit sad.

Don't let Garrus' fumbles with Shepard fool you. He's a total casanova; for turians, it's all about the moves in the ring.

Garrus has a self-deprecating humility/false bravado about him. After everything he's been through, he probably certainly feels like he's been a "bad turian." Of course, that only extends insofar as his reluctance to sit idly by while being BS'd by superiors, which is what the line was referring to. But I think it's pretty clear, at least for me, that he displays some of the best qualities of a "good turian" in spite of what less than stellar circumstances throw his way. He is loyal to a fault, recklessly courageous, has a heart of gold, takes his responsibilities seriously, genuinely cares for those under his command, and never runs from a fight (the only time you'll see a turian's back is when they're dead). Being a "bad turian" or a "bad human" should have nothing to do with romantic preferences as they really aren't related at all. Just my take. ^^

Oh I'm not saying he can't be one, I'm just saying that I see no basis for it either. People never claim that about Ashley, for example, even though she's clearly experienced.
I always thought it was a weird assumption for people to make, but I guess that's just me. We all have our own headcanons.

My headcanon is that Garrus could have easily been a playa since feamle turians approached garrus all the time. But he was too focused and busy with work to notice or pay attention to it.
Lol in my headcanon he is a turian lady killer. He's been around.

I see how that would not affect an interspecies relationship but maybe it would have an impact if romancing someone of your own species. Here in America (even in French Canada where im from) being a rebel is seen as a quality but in a more restrictive culture it might not be the case. I think Garrus has all the good turian qualities and then some but a normal lady Turian looking for the father of her children might think diffrently.
That said I could certainly see Garrus with a badass Turian gal. But she would have to be open to his less conventional views. Maybe someone who has been on the Citadel andmet other species ad opened herself to other cultures. They could hate politicians together
