I also have a headcanon that Garrus is bi. I always shipped him with FemShep and for a long time I didn't really think about it, but several of those ManShep/Garrus slashfics out there are...very persuasive! I don't see a reason why Garrus couldn't be into guys too.


and by persuasive i mean hot and also just really well-written

Spaedar: Are you saving Kaidan at Virmire so you can see him and Garrus interact again in ME3?

It's hard for me to see Garrus like that. But I hope that he is a same sex LI in ME3 for everyone else out there. In my head canon Garrus love the ladies. lol.

Im pretty sure if you were to really rub someone the wrong way in here... well we spooked them off a long time ago. 
Theres fair part of the Garrus fans who ship him with their maleShep.

I have to say in a Kaidan/Garrus pairing tho, Garrus woulnt be the badass one with the most initiative. Quite diffrent then with Shep but it could balance out pretty well (like a renegade femshep/Kaidan deal)

Here in America (even in French Canada where im from) being a rebel is seen as a quality but in a more restrictive culture it might not be the case. I think Garrus has all the good turian qualities and then some but a normal lady Turian looking for the father of her children might think diffrently.

That said I could certainly see Garrus with a badass Turian gal. But she would have to be open to his less conventional views. Maybe someone who has been on the Citadel andmet other species ad opened herself to other cultures. They could hate politicians together 

There's got to be more than one rebel out there in the Hierarchy.   I mean, it's a pretty unrestrictive society, on-duty military comportment and discipline aside.  But it isn't even that Garrus is this unrestrained rebel without a cause.  He didn't go that route because he likes leather jackets and wearing sunglasses at night; he's doing it because he felt it was the only way, at that point, to make an impact against injustice and evil and politicians were getting in the way of progess.  Society left him little choice to acheive those goals.  And I can't say much against it.  Politicians in the ME-verse are at least as corrupt and criminally incompetent as our rl politicians.

I can't say much more because I'd be crossing over into ME3 spoiler territory...but we're overblowing his whole "outcast" status.  He's really not the type of rebel some think he is...and he does very well for himself.  Anyway, I'll shut up now, but I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised at how BW has developed/revealed his character in ME3...I know I was pleasantly, er, pleased.

Er...where was I going with this? Oh, right.  Garrus should have no problems with the turian ladies.  I'm sure he'd rub many of them all the right ways.

That's pretty close to my headcanon too. He seems too busy and obsessive to be the turian Zevran.

Being entirely serious for a moment, I would have to agree as well.  Now if you will all excuse me, I need to crawl into bed before I pass out.  Being this tired does weird things to what's left of my brain.  Garrus plushies to all and to all a good night.

You know, references to Garrus being fairly young and inexperienced in ME1 kind of confused me for one reason: Why the hell would a rookie (or relative rookie) be asked to investigate Saren? Granted, he's told to back off and one gets the feeling the counsel didn't give the investigation all the attention/resources it merited, but all the same.... just not the kind of thing I thought you'd dole out to a young cop/investigator, still earning his stripes. <--- which is all to say I wouldn't be surprised to find out there's been more going on there than Bioware felt like/was able to divulge. I just hope new information is provided via great conversations/storyline and not just some background filler info we get 'Oh, hey, btw -- some things you never knew Garrus was up to!'  in a codex or something. *crosses fingers*
