I did it when I played ME1 on my friend's xbox.  I have a PS3 so sadly I couldn't do an ME1 playthrough to import to ME2.  I could only make the big decisions

I'm guessing this is why a lot of people haven't seen her letter. Many ME1 follow-up emails probably wouldn't make any sense to someone who's only played the PS3 version, so they were left out.

But if you guys want to read it, I just remembered that Dr. Michel's letter is in the first post of this thread!

Yeah, you guys were definitely confusing me with references to this Dr. Michel and her letter. Keep in mind though that I've only done half of one very quick and unimmersive PT of ME1, and I'm almost exclusively a PS3 gamer. It makes me kinda sad that I am going to miss out on a lot of these little tidbits because of that. Bioware really SHOULD HAVE DONE A ME1 PS3 IMPORT TOO!!!! Plus, needing to get foot surgery means that my new gaming PC of my dreams will remain for quite a while stuck in my dreams, and I won't get to do a complete PT - ME1 through ME3. Makes me sad. My Elizabeth Shepard won't get to finish her Garrus's romance on my laptop. Poor Garrus.

Now that I read that letter though, it definitely seems like Dr Michel is holding a torch for Garrus, similiar to the way Kaidan does with Shepard. And a scene between Shepard and Dr Michel, with some utterly adorkable awkwardness for Garrus, would be very nice! (Yes, I'm just evil that way).

Thanks for making my morning brighter with lol's. You guys are horrible (wonderfuly so)!

I've got my Shep/Garrus plathrough (canon, for me), Shep/Kaidan and Shep/Thane so I look forward to seeing how all of those work out for better or worse.

Lol, poor Kaidan... My Shepard/Kaidan/Garrus love triangle is canon for me.  I'm going to feel so horrible breaking Kaidan's heart, but I also want to see how that plays out.  I also have a Shepard who stayed loyal to Kaidan, because despite wanting to see his heart broken, I still have a soft spot for the poor guy.

But, back to me being a horrible person... I started a renegade womanizing Shepard who's slept with Ashley, Jack (renegade), Miranda, and Kelly.  I will save that one for last...

That's why I haven't looked for the Kaidan spoilers: My canon playthrough will definitely be my first and it'll have to involve breaking Kaidan's heart. I'd rather not know too much, I'll save it for a later Shep/Kaidan runthrough. Breaking it off with Garrus... just can't see it, short of some cataclysmic shift in Garrus' character, laden with horrible writing and spite. Since it seems we don't have to worry about that... yeah, don't see Shep letting go of the Turian. (it was hard to snag him in the first place, dammit!)

That said! I am 99.9% sure it's just me being paranoid (made worse by a bad head cold and loopy meds) but the new ME website has a decided lack of Garrus (or Tali) listed as 'individuals you will encounter' --> Mind you, they show manShep and Anderson along with K/A/L/J (heh, change that to J/A/K/L and you can kinbda pronounce it 'jackel' ) so its not a full perm. squadmate line up, but I saw that and immediately worried for Garrus' place in the full squad. I'll still love the game irregardless, I'm sure, but I hope it really is just paranoia on my part!

We've gotten a lot of reassurance that Garrus will be a permanent squadmate after recruitment. I wouldn't be worried.

Lol.  I'm glad I'm not the only one who was kind of  pissed about that.

I'm hoping the bioware team saw some sense when they began animating the couple together and realized

"Hey! This looks pretty damned forced and unbelievable! Probably will cause more eye rolls and wtf's then the approving responses we were hoping for. You know what lets just forget about this, there are other people pairing up in the game and this isn't the Love boat"

Lol.  I'm glad I'm not the only one who was kind of  pissed about that.

Same here. If it is indeed an included feature, hopefully the romance is initiated via dialogue (perhaps 'encouraged' is a more appropriate term) rather than forced upon players who find the prospect of the Normandy becoming the Love Boat in space a tad rediculous. <_<

Plus, Garrus and Tali don't seem to...mesh well in my opinion.

Okay all...I'm SUPER late to the ME party....I mean, I just got ME and ME2 and powered my way through them, like....what...two...maybe three weeks ago? (btw...LOVED them....first time I've played a shooter game)

(had to friggin use a console cheat on CASUAL to beat Saren....after 6 hours...and then watching videos asking "Why isn't he continually firebombing them? What am I doing wrong?" i decided for the first time ever I was going to open the console commands....Garrus then took him out with one shot. My love for that Turian then appeared....)

But anyway....I got sidetracked and now I forgot what I was going to say....

Oh yeah...

I want spoilers! I'm the type that wants/needs to know stuff like what my hubby got me for my birthday, but am still super excited to unwrap it. And I think I've read like 75 pages of this thread....but....

You aren't alone: I only came to ME 1 and 2 about six months ago (best birthday presents ever) and it's also my first shooter. And, yeah, I cheated some in ME1 on casual.

But what spoilers are you looking for?

Hey, welcome aboard the Lo--*glances at shygravel and clears throat* Er, welcome to the Garrus thread.  And that sounds like some serious powering through.

Anything in particular you were curious about? We live to devour and divulge Garrus spoilers.  And yeah, this thread has the potential to move really fast.  It can be a bit overwhelming reading through all 200-some-odd pages knowing that, by the time you finish, there will probably be another 50 to trawl through.

Really? I always play on Casual (will try Normal on my next playthrough, but I'm going to hate the non-regenerating health), and I've never had a problem with Saren. Good thing too, because Saren's my favorite and it would have been terribly sad to watch him kill himself again.

Did you bring a biotic with you, if your own Shep is not a biotic? Lift can be a lifesaver.

So apparently we won't have Garrus in the demo coming out on Valentine's Day (from what I hear) BUT maybe he will appear in the Femshep trailer tomorrow?   I'm kind of guessing they'll make Kaidan the "love interest" in the video, if they're even going to do something like that, because I think he's going to be in it instead of Ashley.  I'm hoping Garrus will make a prominent appearance, though!
