And seeing mention that Bioware went  back to tweak or rewrite the script after the leak.....yeah, this isn't gospel, but it's a good start.....

I applaud the person who was able to take dialogue from the leaked script and turn it into something easy to understand.

And it's good to know that our vague comments about how great the Garrus romance is can also help people who haven't read any of the spoilers. It can get really crazy on the forums leading up to a new Mass Effect game, so I like to let everyone know they have nothing to worry about with Garrus.

Where was this said!? MUST...WATCH....TRAILER x-x Ive literally been spamming BW's youtube watching everything thats been uploaded.

So apparently we won't have Garrus in the demo coming out on Valentine's Day (from what I hear) BUT maybe he will appear in the Femshep trailer tomorrow?   I'm kind of guessing they'll make Kaidan the "love interest" in the video, if they're even going to do something like that, because I think he's going to be in it instead of Ashley.  I'm hoping Garrus will make a prominent appearance, though!

And I agree - I bet we'll be seeing Kaiden as the LI in the trailer >.>
Like how we saw Miranda in the me2 trailer wen it was clear everyone wanted Tali. Its all for marketing. BW dont want to send the "wrong" message and such. Human x human relationship being shown = "Good marketing". Alien x Human being shown = "Questionable Marketing" since obviously not everyone is a xenophile, and for those ppl who dont know about the series, some might find it weird to romance an alien at 1st glance.

then they'll play the series and fall under garrus' spell like all of us

And whoever brought up the Garrus is more similar to the punisher = I love you. Cuz I brought that up back in like the first few pgs of this thread. Sure I dont mind the "Turian Batman" nickname, It does have a great ring to it, and everyone just knows Batman more as an iconic vigilante. Though for us comic geeks - we tend to see Garrus more as the punisher. But all in all - Garrus is a badass no matter how u put it. XP Thats something we all can agree on. Cheers!

I won't be playing the demo, but the Thane thread is going to post screenshots for me, and I hope you guys will post any Garrus screenshots if he's there.  So I'll just be checking BSN after everyone else had time to play it.

Arcana, Eradyn was the one who posted the Garrus/Punisher comparison. In my case, I have very little knowledge of superheroes, and just go with the "turian batman" thing because it's been around for years... even though I thought Garrus' character was interesting immediately, and Batman hasn't managed to catch my interest. But there's a character on a TV show I watch who reminds me of Garrus sometimes, and he compared himself to Batman, which I find very amusing.

& Heck yea I'll post some pics if I get a chance to snag some decent ones. Though anyone playing the PC version of the demo should post pics - ya know : for quality sake. I'll post pics to of course! Anything silly such as glitches. And buttshots that catch my interest LOL.
Rest assured - the pics will be of Femshep. Or me as a turian in MP.
BTW - speaking of the demo : Whos joining up with me? XD Ive got a handful of ppl from DA, as well as my own RL friends. I can spare going nuts with my clanmates for a few days XP Im on XBL at random. So its gonna be one of those "If you see me online - Lets play!"

I was thinking Jack Malone from Without A Trace. But there's another TV character with similar morals to Garrus who also compares himself to Batman? That's just awesome. Did this guy also joke about wearing the tights?

Lol.  I'm glad I'm not the only one who was kind of  pissed about that.

One of my complaints is that companion relationships always seem to stagnate compared to the player character's relationships with them (i.e. they never fall in love, but Shepard can have someone different in every game). I can't complain that they're doing steps to remedy this.

Man, someone mentioned MP earlier: How many of y'all are planning on trying out MP? I... kinda want to? The Turians look pretty badass in the trailers and I'd love to see all-Turian squads wrecking havok all over the place . But... I play these games on casual. I pause... a LOT. *laughs* Probably more than 'tactical pause' was ever intended for. I just don't know if my weak gaming skills - when it comes to shooters, at least - could hold up to a co-op setting where others are counting on me not to suck. So in case I never do the MP thing: Everyone else who does needs to make kickass Turian squads and make vids/post pics so I can live vicariously. :innocent:

Well, it's Femshep Friday and don't see any Femshep yet...or Garrus...the tears are starting again! 

If they ever made Mass Effect into one of those live action sci-fi series and actually have Femshep as Shepard then I'd definitely want Garrus as the canon love interest.  I just love his history with Shepard and how it grows from comrades to friends to lovers <3  But this will most likely never happen.  Oh no, the tears!

Live-Action Series: I.... kind hope this never happens. :/ I mean, it would most likely be ManShep and, well, butchered for the sake of easy entertainment. I've yet to play a male Shepard, I just wouldn't be able to relate to it. Now if they somehow did an amazing job with the supporting cast, I would like it, irregardless of Sheps gender.... but... I suppose I'm a pessimist.

I'm not complaining about characters having their own romances, I actually like that! it's just that THIS one just reeks of poor fan fiction come to life! I felt this way when Friends tried to get Joey and Rachel together to change things up . And like MOST of the other people watching the show I just couldn't accept the pairing because it just didn't look right! They had established a brother/sister relationship beforehand so to see them suddenly together was just...wrong.

Oh man, this is what's happening with that Mass Effect "movie" <_<  It's going to be Manshep apparently.  I don't know if I'll be able to get into the movie because I'm so used to Femshep and seeing her as the real Shepard...
