@Arcana: Oh man that comic makes me misty eyed, so beautiful. Garrus needs a hug.
Why hello first TotP, let us continue the tradition:

I'm guessing they have to band together for the greater good and to protect everyone from the Reapers, but the alliance is strained due to the genophage. Not sure why all the heat is going on the turians for that one, especially since the Salarians are the ones holding the key to curing it. I'll never side against the turians, but I don't want to live in a galaxy without the krogan.leonia42 wrote...
The turian-krogan thing definitely.. confuses me. I am not sure if we heard that right in the demo or maybe the salarians are helping the turians like they did during the original Krogan Rebellions when the STG unleashed the genophage and the Hierarchy sent in troops. I'm.. all sorts of confused on that front. Salarians and turians working together makes sense. Krogan and turians? Ehhh not so much so something crazy is going on. I had already resigned myself to picking the salarians in a potential salarians v. krogan conflict (though I love Wrex to pieces) because of my canon Shepard's view on the genophage cure but.. with the turians in the mix now, I just really don't know what's what.

@Obsydian: I dislike choices unless I can cop out with a Paragon/Renegade 'third option'.
@Hellbound555: Garrus, obviously. ::biased:: Thane is a better neck-snapper. xD
I wouldn't be too sure of that.Destroy Raiden wrote...
I didn't comment much on the last Garrus thread but its good to see it back.
The only things I have to say referring to him would be I hope him and shep get to continue with their romance.
I got the feeling he was thinking their encounter was a one time thing. I would like to be given the option for persuasion to have him continue the relationship.
For mshep I would love to have the bromance I have in my head actually reflected in the game! I enjoyed the poke fun moment when Garrus asks about his face plate it felt like buddies there and the upper right option where shep sounds so happy and acts like he wants to hug Garrus but oddly doesn't? Maybe shep thought the skin armor might injure him but he could've at least gave him a hand shake.
I would just like more options to joke with Garrus and vis versa and perhapse swap a few stories with him and choose to confide in him on events during ME3 that I think maybe to much for my LI to hear like what if shep finds out that they did something to him in Arrival? I would rather confide in Garrus depending on the details I find out then expose Tali to such info. There are also things I might think Tali should be confided in with and not Garrus.

But he did seem to imply he didn't think the genophage was a mistake in a conversation with Tali. Granted, that was the Garrus of ME1, all wide-eyed and innocent.outmane wrote...
We might be surprised by Garrus opinion of what the Turian Hierarchy is doing about the Krogan (which we know nothing of yet) since he does see himself as a 'bad Turian'.
Im definitly looking forward to learning more about Garrus opinion of his home world in ME3.

@Destroy Raiden: I think it started out that way, but I'm of the opinion that by the final cutscene, the relationship between them was deeper than they had originally acknowledged. I would hope after 6-12 months they've already settled the 'where this is going' question and they haven't just completely ignored the issue in-between games. I'd hate to spend all of our romance dialogues in ME3 dancing around the 'should we make a go of it?' issue when everyone else's LIs are presumably already at 'that place'.

Agreed with both of you. Its been 6-12 months from me2 -> me3. The idea of being in a relationship should be already in concrete. Set in stone. DONE. No more awkwardness about the idea "if they should go for it". No. Thats what ME2 was for.outmane wrote...

To me, the 'dancing around' was the whole ME2 issue with a romance arc that could be summerized by 'from friend to lover'. Shep had plenty of time to call it off up to the last moment and still keep Garrus' friendship.
Just like Kaidan's romance is all about staying true to your beliefs, i hope Garrus romance will remain about trust and having each others back in ME3. Other then that its hard to speculate what it will be like at this point.
After the Archangel twist we got at the beginning of ME2 its hard to think Bioware could give us a more awsome surprise (well many players knew but Shepard did not). But ill be very satisfied with a more mature Garrus. He doesnt need to be rescued again. But if he wants to rescue Shep... i wouldnt certainly not object to that.

Regarding their relationship, I mentioned this in the other Garrus thread, I think it would be nice if somehow the player is given the opportunity to decide whether their encounter was a one night stand or if it's been an ongoing romance. Like maybe another character could ask Shep about her relationship with Garrus (before we even see Garrus) and the dialogue options could be something like "we're just really goods friends" or "I never imagined I'd be in a serious relationship with a Turian" and then Sheps interactions with him would change depending on how you respond. I mean, my Shep is with Garrus for the long haul, I just think a choice would be cool.
