I've seen that footage from the leaked demo. So I already know how that happens lol. a couple of seconds before that you turn around a corner and see Kirrahe break a Cerberus Soldier's neck :o

Well here's something to discuss without diving headfirst into explicit spoilers (and further embarrassing myself with my lack of ability to get the damned highlight-text right, yeesh):
Assuming one manages to make it to the end game and keep Garrus alive -- what does he do with himself afterwards? Your personal epilogue? (speaking of which, I wonder if the game will include a DA:O-esq epilogue now that it's the end of Shep's story) Does it change if Shep makes it out as well? Do you see him continuing fringe work as a vigilante, re-joining c-sec, concentrating on helping to rebuild/reestablish his own people? *curious*

I won't be able to get the actual game for, like, a year so I will have to content myself with the spoilers everyone must feed me <3  I went into ME2 knowing everything about the game and I still had a lot of fun!

...you have to wait a year? :crying::crying::crying: This makes me so sad. What a wonderful outlook you have on it, though! I'm hugging you in my head, Surana. <3

I didn't have trouble with the spoilers: a) I can totally hear garrus-voice in my head and B) garrus and all the rest: You definitely get a lot of hints and clues in the leak, but it's still totally worth playing the game to see how it all actually plays out before you. But I also often read the end of books before going back and finishing them... I don't handle suspense very well *laughs*

In my head canon after the war is over, Garrus becomes a Spectre and along with Shepard and anyone else who's still around that wants to come with  fly around the galaxy and  continue their Spectre adventures. That's my fav ending ^_^

Lol no the neck snap happens a few seconds b4 the weapon part. After the neck snap you talk to Kirrahe for a few seconds then the awesome weapon part with Kirrahe happen then Garrus is all  "Why don't I have one?" It's pretty cool

No, I still hate the Garrus/Tali thing but I have no problem killing her or making her otherwise indisposed.  At the very least, it will never see the light of day in any of my playthroughs...not that it will matter, because if it's in it will become one of the default canon pairings regardless. <_<

Also, that trailer kicked ass.  So glad to see femShep get her own trailer! I voted for the "Natalie Portman" femShep with the dark-colored hair, but I can deal with her as a red-head.  That was her old default anyway, so I just look at this as an ME3 "upgrade" for her design.  ^^ And long overdue!

Aaaaand I can now, officially, no longer wait patiently for the demo! ARGH! I need it on my PC asap!

Im hapy and somehow disappointed at the same time. I love seeing femshep in action. Alot of characters showed up for the first time and it was all badass. I seriously got chills when femshep said "Tell your friends we're coming for them." x3 i still wanted something along the lines of the me2 launch trailer though. Thats still my fav trailer thus far. And no sign of garrus- Boo!! Oh well, still an awesome trailer!

Cute pic! :D

I think Garrus' Spectre days are behind him, but I think what he becomes is very...hmmm... very nice. Yes. :3 I really like what he becomes; I think he's more than earned it. Besides, I don't think, after everything that's happened, that Garrus would want to be the Council's ****. He was pretty disgusted with them in ME2, hence why he decided to not pursue further Spectre training. I just can't see him "crawling" back to them after all is said and done as it seems he's moved on to bigger and better things.

DONT TELL ME WHAT HE BECOMES! i so wanna know it BUT DONT! ;)

The way you put it im fine if Garrus does not go crawling back to the Council. Even if they finally come around in ME3, i dont think he could put up with them. If he gets something better them hurray!

But opefully what he becomes lets him fly around with Shep and right some wrongs. Hes so good at it :innocent:

To answer my own queries: I kinda like the idea that even a 'good' ending to the game still leaves a rather devastated galaxy. I'm kind of a sucker for post-apocalyptic type settings, myself. If that's the case, are Specters even going to be as big a deal anymore? With every alien society working to rebuild themselves (if it's even a viable option) I don't see the Council remaining what it used to be. So I suppose in my headcanon Shep and Garrus focus on helping people rebuild, using the status they've both gained to fix things: Both from immediate damage and thing that flat out didn't work back before the reapers came.

Yeah, I think rebuilding is going to be the primary motivation and purpose for a lot of these species, and I'm sure there will be a lot of shifting so far as "who wields what political power, and what forms of government and control are there, what species and what powers within each species rises to claim the top spots," and so forth.  I see it as a "post-apocalyptic" kind of thing, but galaxy-wide and without the whole "having to eat irradiated meat from cans and dealing in bottle caps" thing.  In short: Paradigm Shift! ME4 (and spin-off games) are going to be very interesting. :D

Thank you for hug! <3  I waited a really long time for ME2 so I like to think waiting makes finally having the game all the more special :D

@Eradyn:  Ahh!  Please don't say it'll be a default "canon" couple

I hope the endings I've seen in the leaks aren't the only endings.  As long as Shepard can survive the ending of ME3 I'll be happy :)

wow youre totally onto something there.

That brings the question. How would your Shep and Garrus pairing go about choosing who to help once all civilizations are in need of help? would their diffrent species origin cause problem? Would they go and build houses or try to stop the slavers and others who would profit from such a post apocalyptic environment ?

Hell in my head canon after they are too old to go Spectre adventuring Shepard and his old crew become the new councilors on the new council with every race or hold big possitions of power. So by the end the new council looks like this:

Human Councilor: Shepard
Turian: Garrus Vakarian
Asari: Liara (turned Shadow broker job over to Feron)
Salarian: Mordin (if still alive) or Kirrahe(though Kirrahe is Mordin's body guard if he's Councilor)
Krogan: Urdnot Wrex
Quarian: Tali'Zorah
Geth: Legion
Leader of Reformed Cerberus: Miranda Lawson
Head Admiral of Cerberus Military Branch: Jacob Taylor
Leader of Blue Suns: Zaeed Massani
New Leader of Clan Urdnot: Grunt
High Admiral of Alliance: Ashley or Kaidan
Leader of Drell Assassin's training academy and personal bodyguard of Hanar councilor:Thane
Leader of Biotic Commandos Division of the Alliance: Jack
Leader of Alliance Stealth Forces: Kasumi Goto
Leader of Alliance Spec Ops: James Vega

Yes I have given this thought and yes I'm aware a lot of this won't happen but he a guy can dream lol

@Eradyn: I agree. I imagine in a 'best' ending all worlds/civilizations won't be reduced to absolute ruble or experience an utter downgrade in technology, but I definitely think the galaxy will be left in such a state that political power/structure/perview will change. Paradigm shift, as you so nicely put it.

@Outmane: Great question! I've actually thought about this and I think, for me, it would depend on what role Garrus (and my FemShep) took on after the defeat of the Reapers. High ranking figures intregal to the running of species/nations? Or high ranking -- but keeping out of the politics and beaurocracy and remaining, a special task force type of situation. My canon Shep is from the colonist origin: Battling slavers would be right up her alley. And I just see her as more hands on, being dissatified with some 'lofty' position. I think the same would be true of Garrus. I can see him in a position of power/authority, but an Anderson or Hackett rather than an Udina, if that makes sense.
Though given some of the sweeter dialogue in the leak, I imagine both would like a break, too. Given the stress they've been under for years now, would they be 'selfish' (I'm not giving the world negative connotations here) and call some time for themselves before jumping back into the fray? Or duty driven to remain at the forefront? I hem and haw on this one for both Garrus and Shep.

So what does everyone think about Garrus and Femshep adopting kids?  I'd really like that; of course, it would have to be much later after they've done everything else.  I think Garrus would be a great father.  He'd be the one who couldn't say no to his kids while Femshep would be like, "Stop playing vigilante with your son he has to take his nap!"   I know some people's Femsheps wouldn't want kids but mine would and I think Garrus would too, but he'd still be very happy with only her <3

I don't know if someone posted it before but this is my absolute favorite fanfiction of them ever: http://www.fanfictio...d_Year_Distance In that one they adopt kids but it also covers their entire life through memories before she's about to die of old age. It's so heart touching and sad :< I listened to the song that plays when the kid boards the ship in the trailer at the very end of the fic. It is rated Mature!
