Hey fellow Garrus fans. Haven't been around this thread in a LONG time. Just checking to see if there are any major theories on how Sidonis will be involved in ME3. Best I got is that he'll save Garrus's family if you spare him. But that's a tenuous theory at best, since we're not likely to see turian females in ME3.

Just wanna know if anyone else has any ideas as to how Sidonis will "make it up" to Garrus. He's got 10 lives to save, at least.

Which is weird because I saved the bastard in my canon playthrough.

I think it would be great if he did something 'redemption' worthy. I highly doubt it would be anything so involved as directly linked to Garrus? Simply because I think a lot of people went the renegde route with the LM and Sidonis is out of the picture. The way matters were left in ME we aren't sure that a living Sidonis is still a free man or not, either. But if he's still on the Citadel or somewhere, it'd be neat if he grew a quad and, I dunno, got taken out by rabid reaper-varen so that some civilians could get onto a shuttle or... something. I'd be cool with something like that.

I'm also not opposed to my Shepard being wrong: So if there was a twist where Sidonis pulled some of the same old crap again, that could be interesting as well. Now I'm kind of looking forward to seeing if he makes it into the game or not!

I haven't read any spoilers, so no one react if I've hit close to home. Two scenarios I could envision would be Sidonis saving Shepard's life or, more likely, Garrus' life, especially if he dies in the process. Something like a Virmire scenario where Garrus is protecting the bomb, but Sidonis takes his place so Garrus can escape the blast radius. This would make me very sad, because in my canon playthrough I let Garrus takethe shot. If he winds up dead because of it, I will curl up into a little ball for a week.

Im pretty much hoping for the same. Either Sidonis does something outstanding, proving he was worth saving and that he never meant to betray Garrus. Or he wusses out of something, proving he wasnt worth saving. Both would be pretty interesting to see because it would let us know more. I did not spare him on my canon Shep but I do have some playthrough with him alive jsut to see what happens.

I seriously doubt Sidonis will have to save Shepard or Garrus' lives, at least in a way that is exclusive to him. I would guess that players are probably split about half-and-half for sparing him and letting him die, so having something this important depend on Sidonis is... just a bad idea, and would cause a lot of fan rage. As it is now, both the Paragon and Renegade choices were considered "right" in ME2 (by giving us Garrus' loyalty), and I would hate for them to take it back by saying that one choice is right (Garrus lives) and the other is wrong (Garrus dies).

For the record, this is just my opinion/mini-rant, and in no way connected to the spoilers I've read.

I played the demo too. Liara soured my playthrough only for Garrus to calm me down seconds later. I just... I was so angry at her. I just wanted to hug Garrus, sink my head on his neck, and ask him to tell Liara to go away. Then Garrus would pat Shepard's back, wishper "There, there...", and then look at the asari with cold eyes and say: "I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to ask you to leave."

And then I would be at peace. Oh, Garrus.

Think of it this way - in the actual game, I don't think you'll have to take her to that mission. That's my plan, for sure.

Liec, that "Garrus dating advice" picture is great. xD Lucky for me, he didn't pretend that he hasn't been with Shep yet in my game. He just repeats the "I haven't forgotten what we talked about" line, and I can work with that.

My favorite part is, "pretend you have computer sh*t to do." That's exactly what he does.

I did nothing, actually. I just assumed my game chose a different line to repeat than everyone else's, and because I haven't had the chance to do another playthrough yet, I've only done Garrus' romance one way. I can pretty much remember everything I did, but I'm not sure if any of that is the reason why he repeats his line. It's probably just the game.

- I went Renegade on Garrus' missions, letting him kill Sidonis at first chance, using the interrupt to take a shot with his rifle during his recruitment, and stuff like that. Kiara Shepard supports vengeance and shooting first!

- I didn't use the Paragon interrupt in the final romance scene. Just didn't like the way it sounded, and it wasn't right for my Shepard. I also didn't use the "you were always ugly, slap some facepaint on it and no one will notice" line for the same reasons.

- I wanted to get to Garrus' romance as soon as possible, and when I say "as soon as possible", I really mean it. I knew that it would start after his loyalty mission, so I skipped the later recruitments (Tali, Thane, Samara) and headed right for the loyalty missions. I might have skipped a few of them to get to Garrus' faster as well.

- I must have replayed those "nothing more to say, so I'll just repeat this over and over" convos after every mission, side mission, and random occasion where Shep leaves the ship and comes back. (But everyone does that, right? ...Right?)

- I had planned that, for my replay, I would try to make extra conversations by waiting until a later time for some of the investigate options and romance initiation dialogue. This was not the case with my first playthrough. I went through every line of dialogue the minute it became available.

The first thing I did while playing the demo with Garrus in my party was dive at him.
The demo was amaziiiiiiing! I can't wait for the whole game! I kind of just want to hybernate until March 6th now. I don't know how I'll make it until then ;__; *replays the demo until the 6th*
