...i'm sold. you've made so many wonderful points.... and i can definitly agree with all of them. I still love them both in their own adorable ways. though I do think if you get right down to it, Garrus can be as playful as Alistair.  (thats my headcanon anyway) 
At least though, Alistair is quick to say that he can't lead. He doesn't just try then **** things up....    *randomly pictures Al without pants. mind wanders....*

anyway, what was i saying?  oh yeah, you're brilliant and that was amazingly well thought out and awesome. 

lastly... WHY IS THERE A GARRUS WEARING NIHLUS' ARMOR???   *wibbles*  are they trying to play with my heart?

Sometimes you get lucky in ME1 and can loot Phantom armour. It felt weird seeing Garrus running around in it but it certainly looks better than the Colossus or the Predator M so it was ok from a fashion perspective, plus it gives the illusion of being heavy armour even if it's medium.

And yeah, almost every single one of Varric's lines (especially the in-combat ones) sounds like something Garrus would say. I can see the bromance comparisons to Alistair but Varric is more badass/renegadey and probably would get on with Garrus in person better than Alistair would. Or at least that's how it makes sense in my head.

Would love to see a Bianca easter-egg in ME3.. in a classy antique shop, maybe in need of some calibrating..

Just being able to trigger the occasional idle dialogue would make me so happy. So much time was spent in DA2 making Fenris go 'I am yours' and 'I enjoy following you'. >_>

It'd be hilariously cruel if you could click on Garrus at any time in ME3, but when you do he always says, "Can it wait for a bit?" xP

OMG for random dialogue.   my only real worry abut that ... is that sometimes... its just poorly timed. lol.... 

for example.....  I'm  trying to focus on a darkspawn horde, all of a sudden Alistair is telling me about his sister because i accidentally clicked on him.   oops. lol

and LOL @ Bubble. Nihrrus. yes. i can fully support this. day=made.

also. i would TOTALLY touch it. all the time. gods i love this forum. you guys make my day better.

It hasn't been confirmed nor denied, even it were ture, I doubt bioware would say that it is set in stone that he will die. There is a possibilty that there will be a situation where he may die, but I'm sure that if that was in mass effect 3, there still be a way to keep him alive.
