so glad i found this thread lol i've never really posted on here much but i only have one friend whose really into Mass Effect (and shes another Garrus fangirl) but i don't get to see her much and my other gamer friends are like "yeah ME is cool, but this is cool too" and won't indulge me in talking for hours about character and story dynamics lol and they're all boys so its more "tali is awesome" "NO miranda is awesome!"

I'm loving reading some of the speculation and I don't feel the burning desire to read the spoilers after seeing people say that they do deliver. I'd only want to read them if people were saying they were horrible. Knowing something awesome is coming my way makes it feel more worth the wait. It's so nice to know i'm not completely weird for loving our Turian squadmate. One of my best friends just doesn't get it. He was just like "yeah garrus is cool but i don't get the big deal" and I just had to shake my head.

So, thank you for this awesome thread and....

I would, but I'm in Toronto. The closest one to me would be the New York one, and that's more likely to get stuck on a skyscraper than make it over here.

They're not releasing any near me. Nearest is Las Vegas but thats a couple days drive from here :\\ wish they'd have released one in Atlanta or Houston, so would drive to get one.

Its the same for me really. I like kowing the shapes of things but I do not want to be spoiledt he actual dialogue. its like for ME2 I was ok knowing Garrus would be romancable cause I could start roleplaying about it right from the start. But I didnt want to be spoiled on what they would actually say so I could react to it when it happened.

Oh and of course WELCOME to the Garrus thread... where you can discuss the finest Turians in the MEverse!

Thanks for the welcomes! And I feel a lot better now knowing they're going to do the Garrus romance justice. The one in ME2 was interesting I'll admit (one of the more dynamic ones in my opinion because it can be interpreted in so many ways and it can go in so many directions. and of course Garrus is just awesome), but the fangirl in me wants MOAR.

I'm making a signature banner for myself with Garrus and MaleShep, and I want to write something on it. The picture is basically the headbutt, but with MShep, because I "ship" them more than anything else in this game.

As usual I'm having trouble deciding the text, so could you guys answer me a quick question? Does Garrus or Shepard say the line "We can/will make this work" at some point during the romance? Something similar? Because I was thinking on writing "They would make it work" on the banner... I just don't remember.

Meh, I should go with "It would have been awesome".

i dont think they ever do. Garrus says he wants it to go right and is being all nervous and adorable and shepherd doesn't really say anything, just touches the side of his face and then the head bump. i think she's pretty much saying 'its ok' in body language, but never actually speaks

Awwh thanks LOL. I just dont understand how he has the ability to fling my heterosexuality away just for him...He's so awesome:wub:. I remember my favorite dream was that he was coming over my quarters in the normandy (I was Shepard but he called me by my name so I guess I replaced Shepard in my dream ) But anyway he just came into my quarters and he said he was "done calibrating" and I LOL'D so hard:D. But then he said that he's worried about his family at Palaven, i assured him that it will be fine and we would save them (he knew i was giving out blind hope). But i cant remember what else he said but I knew he was being a pessimisst (which i am too) and that as much as he appreciates my concern, he didnt think he would be able to support his mom with the medications she needed (as mentioned in the chat with his sister in LotSB).

He went on and on and on,  so then to shut him up, i did what I always wanted to do in Mass Effect everytime he was worried: [cue paragon interrupt icon] I hugged him without warning. We both stood quiet in each others' arms for at least 10-15 seconds... i knew how he felt to be so alone, negative, always expecting the worst, and try to make things right, having a father that would work, work, and work in a traditional and by-the-book manner and wanted you to do the same, being socially awkward, nervous with most women, being a complete nerd...but i also knew that we just needed one thing the most: a tender hug.

But sadly, I knew it was all just a dream...but i enjoyed every bit of it. Then i did what Kelly Chambers what have done and told him "its going to be okay". Before he was able to respond... i woke up... then i just sat up and thought how one of my best moments in life wasn't even real... i felt, so ashamed ....but I love the big guy ....

on another note... does anyone know if they're going to show female turians? ive played the demo and you sort of see the female krogan, and they mention the female salarians (dunno if you get to meet any of them in person) any mention of female turians?

i loved it, but it's evil. they gave you just enough to start foaming at the mouth with the need for 3 lol but its sooo pretty and i'm really liking the tweeks they've made to the combat system and game play (the biotic mele is awesome) and i like the jumping and ladder climbing, adds a new dynamic to level systems. they gave you just enough to make you really psyched about the game.

and on a random note, the 'casual armor' that shepherd wears is the beginning is awesome, now i want to have some made and cospay in it XD
