Omg, I just noticed his pants are unbuttoned XD. I have had that as a wallpaper for YEARS and I just now noticed that. *sheesh* and I call myself a fan, I'm pathetic lol.

I guess after I get out of my shower I'll create a group and fetch the idea to people and if it works "yay" if not then I can scrap the idea.

If it doesn't work, you can delete the group and one of the others can try. But either way, there is going to be a Talons ME3 MP group. Posted Image I don't think the group should be private. If there are any trolls, they can be blocked or kicked out.....I think.

@CommanderNook  Yeah, we have converted someone! Posted Image

@Kiraiko I am also busy mainly with school and I have one difficult and time consuming class this semester so I couldn't be an officer or admin. or whatever else there is. Though I am completely willing to help or offer advice whenever I can. Posted Image

It is late here and I have to get up early so I am heading out. Good talking with you all! Maybe next time we talk there will be a Turian/Garrus MP group! Posted ImagePosted Image

Quick question: should the group be turians chars only, or turian inspired-but accepting of other races?

i'm inclined to say turians only... and players can offer to help out other players who haven't unlocked the turian yet. but you have to have turians unlocked to officially join the group. if you haven't yet you can post saying you're working on it and group up with people but don't get to join until you get there. thats just my opinion though.

Well I think Turians are limited to only two classes which will work against players in MP. And I don't think Turian characters should have anything to do with it actually. I was thinking this group would be for any ME3 player that loves Turians and/or Garrus. Honestly some of the best classes aren't Turians.

EDIT: And I think one of the goals of the group is to have MP sessions so it will help us get the best ending possible with Garrus and limiting it to Turians isn't going to help....and some people are better at certain classes over others. For example, I am best at Vanguard and there are no Turians. In fact I am not that good with the Turian classes

@People4Peace, I will do my darndest to make it happen.

@Kiraiko So should I have it set to where people have to ask to join and then be approved?

EDIT: I posted this before the two posts above mine.  So I guess I'll make it open to all who love the greatest race there is, Turians.

BTW sexy picture, there is just that pesky cloth in the way

makes sense to me, if only so that we can keep track of who is who, it can be just as simple as them posting somewhere saying 'hey my gamer tag is blah blah blah and i'm on this platform' and getting added to a list somewhee

I was thinking public but the more I think about it, the group should probably be private (Have to ask to join) because I don't think there is a way to block people from the group so its probably the safest way to go. And if other people want it public, I am assuming there is a way to switch the settings?

@Kiraiko, Exactly. Some of the other character MP groups have discussions that focus on certain parts of ME MP and to set up games between players which is nice since we're all playing on different ones. All of the character MP groups have threads for different platforms and people post their gamer tags there. It seems to work and is quite organized.

Anyway, I am retiring for the night. Good luck Rannin. Posted Image

Yeah, femTurians would be nice, but not the Dark Horse versions. Those ones kinda look like Skeletor to me *shivers*

ive seen a lot of concept art on how femturians might look but none of them really strike me as "it" i dunno, logic dictates that they probably wouldn't look too much different from the males. They're bird-like and reptilian at the same time and in both of those females actually tend to be a little bigger than the males because they have to be able to hold sometimes multiple eggs in their bodies before their laid. I dunno if Turians would lay eggs but i doubt the females would have breasts, it wouldn't make sense. So who knows what they really look like, i doubt we'll ever really know

Yeah, I was thinking about Tyrannosaurus rex and Velocirapors after I read your post, among the other dinosaurids and such the females are larger.  THAT would be really cool if Bioware did it that way, it would be a way for them to not conform to mammalian standards of larger males (I know there probably won't be any females aliens in ME3, but one can hope right?).  I LOVE paleontology and reptiles, I guess that's why I fell head over heels for Turians.

i'm a total biology nerd, majoring in Wildlife Biology when i can go back to school. I'm mostly into mammalian large predators like wolves, cougars and wovlerines but I love all animals and know a bit about the biology of most of the animal groups. And I totally loved dinosaurs when i was a kid and still find paleantology very interesting. I think it'd be cool for Turians to lay eggs instead of have live young. Granted the fact that Turians are not only dextro but very reptilian/avian means sorry guys but no human-turian hybrids lol i doubt the two species could create viable young at all through conventional means. ugh, sorry, i'm nerding out. lol
larger females would make sense biologically but this is a video game company we're talking about, and the fact that they made the asari basically a monogendered fan service race makes me doubt they'd do something like use logic if they ever made femTurians. Don't get me started on the asari but i'll just say that they are not ASEXUAL. they are monogendered, theres a difference, they are all female. which means that yes any asari-femShep romance is homosexual. If they were asexual like Bioware keeps insisting they would be much more androgynous

... ANYWAY lol sorry. I want femTurians. but it'll probably never happen.

^ This!

Men can be rather pathetic...

On the subject of female aliens; turian / krogan... well we saw a fem krogan on the demo, but did we really? The poor thing was covered head to toe, very reminiscing of muslim burka attire, very patriarchal. I’m starting not to like the krogans....
Anyhoo I was reading a very interesting article that touches on the subject of creating female aliens:
borderhouseblog.com/

...and in ME3 we'll be going to Palaven, so it's reasonable to expect some fem turians there.

I completely agree PalAvian, I didn't like the full coverage of that poor woman. Besides the humans and asari, we don't really get to see any women in ME. The quarians, male and female, are all covered.

I thought it was really cute of Mordin trying to be a gentleman for the Krogan lady, however. He is the very model of a scientist salarian, after all.

Yup Rannin. It is stupid that they find it hard to design female aliens that don’t carry the typical human female secondary sexual characteristics. [we seriously need a ‘roll eyes’ emoticon]

Love Mordin btw, shame that he won’t be in the game :(

Mordin was one of my favorite characters in ME. *sadface*

I wish developers of female aliens would stop equating being female with having boobs. Aliens are not mammals, ugh. Oh well, one can dream, right?

Its hard to judge the female of any ME races because they ad to use th same model as for the males. So all they could really go for is diffrent color/clothing.

As for the gender differences in Krogans, Wrex makes it very clear theat females hold lots of power and they live away from the males, in a diffrent camp, because they chose it (for the exact words look at Wrex explanations about Tuchanka in his first convos. Shepard can ask 'what do the females think about all that' and Wrex says its a headmistress who leads the female camp and he has to make consensus with her). The one female we release from the salarians dont seem submissve to me at all to be honest. She seems very aware of how a shotgun works and what she is worth to the Krogans.

And for turian females, well im not sure we asctually go to Palaven. They said a long time agon Shep goes to a turian colony and that Palaven is mostly being evacuated. I'd be very surprised they would do femal turians since theres none in the MP.

@outmane: Oh you‘re quite right, it’s a turian colony not Palaven. I got that confused thanks for clarifying.

About the Krogans, I’m still not convinced. Mind you I didn’t get that far in the first game so I probably didn’t get the Wrex conversation yet. But even then, the chances of changing my mind are slim.

You make a good point outmane. I know that they said Palaven was evacuated to one of its moons, maybe it's very close to Palaven. I've always wanted to see where Garrus grew up.

Its not in the first game. Its in the second game, on Tuchanka. You can also listen to the dialogue of the envoy to the female camp who is on the second floor near the shaman.

She definitly looks middle-eastern-ish but jsut doesnt look... submissive. maybe we learn more about it in the game tho.

Hmm maybe it's because the female krogan are kinda like female triceratops. The female triceratops chase their sons off when they get old enough to prevent interbreeding within the group. I know krogan are sentient and probably know who is who's relatives, but because of the genophage it might have driven some males to desperate measures to reproduce. Like a male breeding with a female that he knows is a relative, but because she is the only fertile female that he knows...well you see where I am going.

But then again, I dunno. We'll only know what the canon reason is if we are told from the devs.

Yeah I always was thinking something similar. ts very similar to the way many animal groups. The cubs and female stay together and the males go hunting on their side. They only meet when the female is ready to have new cubs.

Anyway... thats not very turian related :pinched:

@ Pal If Wrex dies on Virmire, you meant his cousin Wreav on Tuchanka (and he doesnt like you much ). If you keep him alive, you Wrex went back to his people on Tuchanka and is now their leader (its a superb character arc from his mercenary I-dont-give-a-damn state in ME1)

Aaahhh... ^_^ now I get it. In the PS3 version Wrex is pretty much six feet under. Which makes me wonder how do they bring him back for ME3...

That is one thing I hope that they do in ME3, where they go into really deep detail about the different societies cultures. I really want to learn more about turian society and how it functions. We all get that they are very militaristic and honour bound, but there has got to be more to that. Maybe that Homeworlds comic will touch on it. BTW when is Homeworlds coming out and who is making it?
