I just played the demo to check manshep next to Garrus.  Garrus is way bigger.  I always think of manshep as 6'2" because Vanderloo is supposed to be that tall(?).  My femshep I think of as about 5'10"   Garrus, I headcannon at least 6'4"  <3

If I could go back a couple topics -- cause I just played this part of ME2 in my last canon run -- on the Garrus loyalty mission, I usually take Tali. (I usually take him on hers, because I headcanon them and Esperanza Shepard as a crazy tight team). When Tali's around, I always feel like my Shepard's a bit more paragon. She's decidedly the little one, and the brakes on the shootytrain of Garrus and Shep.

So I pretty much decided Esperanza was not letting Garrus execute someone in cold blood in front of their little buddy. And headcanon'd it as a big part of the reason Garrus didn't take the shot before Shepard got into it or after she left. If there's one thing I miss in 2, it's the sense of interactions going on outside of Shepard's involvement.

Hey, wait!! I made a stupid mistake. I always thought the guy who voices Shepard was the same whose likeness was used to model male Shepard. 

Anyway Vanderloo is 1.84m, which means 2.00m (or 6.5 ft - thanks Jellobell!) is still a good guess for Garrus' height. <3

Interestingly enough, I also took Tali on that mission, except I always headcanon her as staying out of it because she thinks that Shepard has a better chance of getting through to Garrus. I always picture her and Shepard exchanging some worried looks after Garrus almost goes nuts on Harkin.

Though one time I brought Jack along and imagined her rolling her eyes during that hovercar ride.

i also take both Garrus and Tali to see Liara on Illium and I headcanon the whole scene.


Tali isnt even one of my favorite squaddies. It just makes sense to me to make it happen that way.

I have to admit, gameplay wise, she isn't quite the combat monster I made her in 1. But with Garrus sniping, she makes a good compliment with my vanguard.

I bring Garrus on a lot of missions because, let's face it, he just has all the best lines for anything. Garrus and Mordin, man...

This. I loved those two together.

I get the feeling that Mordin is ME2's Wrex. Older, more experienced than most of the crew, great stories, and a fan favourite. They also go great with Garrus, but pretty much anyone does.
