Actually this didn''t bother anybody because it didn't interfere with the mission. As much as we know about turian culture from the codex, everything is allowed as long as it doesn't interfere with work. (well, murder and stuff isn't but things like drugs and sex with co-workers isn't considered unethical if they do their job the same way)

yeah but thats what i'm saying, they have a very different mentality towards duty. You can do what you want as long as you do what you're supposed to. Like Syraniss suggested, they could marry for economic or political reasons but then have a mistress. Here, we view love and sex as linked (for the most part) so we would never allow squadmates out on the field to have a sexual relationship even if it doesn't technically effect their mission. I could go on and on with why but that would never fly in the Alliance I bet.

Well yeah, I wasn't disagreeing just explaining. Though that still doesn't prove that they have a form of marriage humans do. I mean of course if two turians want to be married similarly to humans, they can. But it doesn't mean it's a tradition among the species. At best we can speculate now, until it is further explained by the games (if that ever happens)

I was explaining the bolded part of the quote, as I wanted to say why bonding with his squadmate wasn't seen as unethical.

Ugh I'm so out of practice... this is my first full drawing in a long time and the lines are a little too rough

Since turians aren't human and the only hint of their sexuality IS of a beastly nature I wouldn't expect anything "proper" out of them. lol

As far as "marriage" goes, that term doesn't quite fit to me.
But I do view Garrus as a turian that could "bond" with someone emotionally, mentally and physically. So in my mind if Shepard and Garrus bonded, it would be a heartfelt private thing. (With maybe a cool tattoo symbolizing the permanence, that only they knew what it meant. lol )

Although if turians "mark" their true beloved, then that would be Shepard's sign of permanence instead. Ha!

When is it hinted that turians have a beastly nature sexuality? The only species that I can see having a beastly sexuality is the krogan, but that is because most of them are savages. And turians are quite civilised.

Edit: @Yvette Well, yeah the way Garrus explained the reach and flexibility story was a jokish. It can't be taken fully serious. But I don't think he mentiones biting anyway, so yeah, where did you get that idea?

thank you! I stay so busy... i have no time for anything anymore, i have to MAKE time for Mass Effect these days lol makes me sad. but definitely have little time for drawing anymore

oh snap... forgot to clean up Shep's boots... ah well lol i have to get back to packing so people will just have to deal with le sloppy lines

 @Kiraiko About your drawing, I ain't an art specialist, but I like it (if my word means anything). Continue with the spirit of drawing Garrus and turians and you may become as good as Miken one day.

It was a joke, since I had mentioned a symbolic bonding tattoo and someone else mentioned the fanfics saying they "marked" their mate.

So my suspicion that Captain Gavorn is a female could be true? Most excellent!

At least bioware will have an excuse for not having fem turians in the game "They were there, you just didn't recodnise them." I hope Solana doesn't look like Garrus, just with a female voice.

Nooooo I like the idea of Gavorn being a homosexual Turian thats into humans much better than it actually being female (if you haven't played LotSB then you wont know what i'm talking about there.)

Stupid Bioware, they're just being lazy and trying to cop out on making a different model for female aliens as much money as they make they can't seriously just freaking make them?

But in biological terms it makes sense, especially if Turian biology is more reptilian than anything else as its almost impossible to distinguish between genders with most snakes and lizards except that females are usually larger. with birds its that same way except males usually have bright colored plumage to attract mates
