Alright...I realize that, having advocated physical evidence time and time again, that I'm going to sound immensely hypocritical, but it's the only way I can feel to perhaps ease SOME of the tension:

I have it one good faith from a good friend of mine that there IS a good ending. And that we're going to be fine.

Also, I found an interesting interview Mike was in, and this quote emerges:

"There are many different endings. We wouldn’t do it any other way. How could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t say any more than that,"

There is a glimmer of hope guys!  I am seeing that BW is basically saying that your past decisions and every single little thing you do will ultimately decide your ending this time in a HUGE HUGE way.  It can be "brutal or minimal".  Every single side quest you did or will do, every little interaction means EVERYTHING.

ONE WEEK GUYS ONE WEEK WE CAN DO IT

My ideal ending would be Garrus and Shepard get hitched and adopt a kid or two and go fight injustice together when they get the chance. Pretty much like that Hundred Year Distance fan fic. XD

I love you guys :crying: IF THIS SHIP MUST SINK, LET US GO DOWN TOGETHER!

You know, I've always wondered - are there any Sheps out there who'd want to retire? It seems everyone I know wants to keep going, but I can't help but wonder if ME3 will twist our perspectives. Apparently this is going to be a long, hard war...with quite a few emotional bombs laced within. I can see my Shepard becoming very tired and worn...and Garrus does strike me as the type who would want to settle down, at least for a few years.

...ah, maybe they'd just take a small break before going back to crime-fighting :P

But YOU KNOW WHAT? This thread hasn't talked about Garrus or turians for a few pages now. If for nothing else other than to ease our panic, let's talk: what's your ideal ending with/for Garrus?

Gods, I'm actually glad that I read some of the spoilers, even though I promised myself that I wouldn't for any reason. If that's really what happens, and it's really that depressing, and I didn't know in advance, I would have been a wreck for days. Yes, my obsession has reached unhealthy levels, I know.

But as to your question, at this point, honestly, I just want Garrus and my Shep to both survive and be together. Doesn't matter doing what, or where, as long as that happens. They could be on the Normandy, or on some random planet, or a colony, or a space freighter dealing in exotic batarian cheese, I honestly don't care. I have this entire backstory for her that pretty much revolves around Garrus, so, well . . . yeah.

Now I'm tempted to go searching for that spark of hope you mentioned . . .

I almost leapt through my screen there for a second *dies* I can't take this

I NEED TO BE REMINDED THAT THE ROMANCE WITH GARRUS IN THIS GAME WILL BE AMAZING.

Edit: Also, the blog that Mac wrote about the romances actually makes me worry more. It's like he's trying to say: Enjoy what you have now because all good things come to an end. In place of: It's the journey and not the destination.

I dont know guys, i love (and i mean freakin love) Garrus. I had a dream today that i was Solana's mate and Garrus was my brother-in-law. It was glorious but my real point is that I want this game to be memorable and have a nice ending. The ending can be depressing and it can still be good. There is a way. They have no idea how much we are looking forward to this, i have not been more immersed in a game since Halo and this literally feels like waiting a week for Halo 3 all over again but twice as much hype and love for the series. Then for me to know that its not going to end good? it breaks my heart and soul. goddamn it Bioware.... you used to be cool....

I could PM you the  contents of the post and the couple ones after it, if you'd like. I've been keeping a hesitant eye on it for a bit now, and so far nobody's contested its existence rather than debated the specific details - so it's looking like it does indeed exist.

I hope your friend is right!  What I read, even the purported "good" ending was insanely depressing (like, to the point where I just don't want to think about it anymore tonight) with regard to LIs.

Anyway, Garrus.

Another spark of hope - Remember the magazine that got the game early and reviewed it? Them mentioned that the endings would not contain any plot holes etc etc...

Whereas the leaked endings creates more questions and answers none.

My Shep would want to retire for sure. But that's probably because I'm not a soldier and never wanted to be so, you know, it's easier for me to relate to a character who doesn't want to be a soldier but has to.

My ideal ending: Shep and Garrus (and, well, however many of my crew as I can manage) are alive and together, reapers defeated. I don't need a massive epilogue with stuff like marriage, adoption, politics, houses, honey-do lists, whatever. Just a glimpse of 'there they are they're together/can come back together' and I'm good. :)

As for everything still going on: Truth is usually somewhere in the middle when everything gets crazy and sketchy like this. :) It'll get sorted out.

I'm off for the night! Go well and stay calm! And talk more about Garrus. :)

Goodnight shygravel, sleep well! I will have to agree with kevchy on this one. If the ending is supposed to bring clarity to the game, why would there be such a depressing and badly written end to the series? Given, I have saved myself by not reading these spoilers, so take my opinion or not, I think there is more here than meets the eye.

Actually, yeah, would you? I'd really appreciate it. I was going to ask you to filter it slightly so I wouldn't get the full-on spoiler, but at this point, I've basically spoiled myself; there's no reason to bother insisting that I'm still in the dark, here. ^_^

I don't doubt there are some crappy endings for the game and the good ones might be harder to achieve (which will make them all the more satisfying) but i have a feeling that they wouldn't stick us with nothing but crappy endings or something. Just not BioWare's style. I'm avoiding ALL new spoilers until the game comes out!

As for my perfect Garrus ending... well my femShep i paired him with wouldn't really want kids but has a soft spot for animals (she's earth born and i wrote some fan fic about her time on the streets with the Reds and her only real friend was a stray dog she took in) so i could see her wanting to retire to a quiet place and get some animals lol dunno how Garrus feels about them tho XD i could see him as a cat person haha

I want them to retire and have kids and, as Garrus says in the spoilery leaks "retire somewhere warm and tropical and live off the royalties from the vids"! <3

These endings are making me sad.  I actually cried this morning thinking about it...hopefully, there are other options available!  Too much emotional investment Bioware!

Okay guys. I needed to get away from the "OH NOES!" talk and so I was searching youtube for videos. I can't believe I am saying this, but we have documentation of a polite krogan. I know, I know, it's not about Turians or Garrus, but lets face it, how much of the past few pages have been about those?

Screenshots?  They were pictures from imgur with no verification.  Hell, one of them looks like concept art.

Someone also looked through the game's files and found the exact same thing.
