My Garrusmance FemShep is a Sentinel. :) I think it's just all about personality. I've seen the question of whether Garrus works best with a Paragon or Renegade, and it always depends on how people play their Shepards. He works best with my Paragades and Renegons and ParaReneNeutral(-who knows the morality any more?) Shepards. xD Same with backgrounds, any can work very well depending on the way you play Shepard. As for classes, I've played them so many different ways (for example, a Sentinel with assault armor and shotguns who plays almost like a Vanguard, or a Sentinel who sabotages the enemy from afar and mostly stays in cover) that the personalities turn out completely different even when I'm playing the same class.

edit to add:

I wonder how early on we can recruit Garrus, I hope it's pretty much first thing like in ME2 again. You'd assume so because the squad size isn't that big, but I have no idea. Hope he didn't get into more trouble after Shep got sent back to Earth D:

Also ME3 needs to mention Saren at some point. I don't care how, do it!

We can recruit Garrus pretty early like in ME2, judging from what I can gather.

Perhaps he's just sort of following Shepard around claiming that he's "sightseeing". After all, with Shepard, it's only a matter of time... and not usually very long... before all hell breaks loose again.

Re: spoilers, I suggest graying out the text so it's invisible. It's a courtesy. If people don't want spoilers at all, you're in the wrong thread. This is the spoiler version of the Garrus thread. Non-spoiler one is linked at the top of the OP.

Re: endings, it depends on what you define as "good." The data files have been mined and videos and photos of the various endings leaked. Even the best ending available to us is heart-rending in its after-affects and implications, unless you don't care about most of the characters and the circumstances. My only hope at this point is that someone missed something and that there's some file that's been locked with a bunch of newer endings. In short: I'm resigning myself to the inevitable, trying to come to terms with it, all while harboring some bit of hope. :P

I was told it wasn't that sad Eradyn D:
Maybe they had a different interpretation of it. Oh well. Where is my "Garrus lives and rules the universe" ending?

It's arguably better than the rest of the endings, but ultimately all (7 of the known) endings are just various degrees of "horrible and sad." I'm hoping there are other endings that no one has been able to data-mine, because I find none of the known endings to be acceptable after having devoted and invested 6 years of my life to this universe. I'm certainly not demanding a "rainbows and sunshine everywhere" ending, but is some degree of "happy-grey" ending really too much to ask for? With the endings we have, BW has literally sunk and destroyed the future of this IP. (Unless they resume it waaay far into the future or make a prequel.) Hence why Mac Walters, in an interview, said there'd be no post-ending DLC as it would be a boring wasteland.

Oh. Uh. Wow.

Guess it's a good job I decided to run my (pen-and-paper) RPG as a prequel then

Maybe they are really bored with Mass Effect now. I'd be surprised if, from a business POV, they'd just drop it like that though.

They've been "cough-cough-wink-winking" about the potential for an mmo. Not definitive or a promise, but I would suspect they might be considering it. Good or bad, take it for what you will. =\\

As if EA'd let them.

I guess that depends on whether EA throw another $200 million at them to do it or not. Supposedly they weren't happy with the ME2 sales which is kind of boggling. Oh well.

Back on (vaguely) topic, this is how you should be able to dress up your turian in MP

Indeed. There's no way they'll abandon this IP. I expect spin-offs set in the current timeline or a prequel of some sort...or an mmo at some point.

Mm, wouldn't it be awesome if they did create a Wii dancing game with the techno turian and that dancing volus from the Flux.
Yeah, just to show off their moves and teach us. :P

After the dance-off, the panel of judges can be the council. Naturally they are always disapproving.

Followed by Turian Councillor's dismissal claims and Udina's 'truly outrageous' lines. :D

Played the demo again... someone please help me out here. Why is it that to me, Garrus looks weird? I know his bandage is gone and his visor is different but I swear is not that. He looks different to me. Older, like way much older like 20 to 30 years older. What have they done to him? :o
BW I’m looking in your direction... <_<

Seriously he looks like grandpa Garrus to me now.

Perhaps it's his slightly-greying armour? :D

Here is "Garrus through the ages" which might help you decide.

On a more serious note. It's kinda like Kaidan, he looks like he aged a LOT. Maybe saving the universe is hard on you.

Yeah, and I can see the differences. For example, I’m pretty convinced they improved a lot from Garrus ME1 to Garrus ME2 (after the blast to his face, because no-scars Archangel Garrus looks exactly the same as Garrus ME1, meaning: same head model)

I don't think the new message from BioWare has anything to do with these "spoilers" going around, unless worse stuff has been caused by them that I haven't seen yet. It seems to be an extension of something that happened a while ago (if you want more details, check the DA2 announcements forum), and I'm glad they're taking measures against this sort of thing. No worries guys, I don't think it was only caused by possible ME3 fallout on the forums.

Also, those people saying there are no good endings? Well, that's what happens when you rush to finish a game in 23 hours that would take completionists 100+ hours. BioWare's already said that sidequests are needed for the best endings. They ruined their own playthroughs. Don't let them ruin your excitement too. I'm sure I'll still be posting my "road to happiness with Garrus" guide here on day one. I'm almost postitive that there will be a road to happiness. And I'm glad that the Garrus thread is being so calm about this compared to other places on BSN. Way to keep it together, guys!

I know this is random, but another thing I noticed while reading over all the posts I've missed... a lot of you guys would really have trouble finding a standard edition of ME3 on day one if you haven't pre-ordered? I bought both ME2 and DA2 on their release dates, the strategy guides as well, and there were plenty on the shelves. I never pre-order or wait in lines. xD

@Arcana: Great picture of the new armors. I won't have the DLC, but it's amazing to see how much I approve of Garrus in gold armor. I normally keep him in a blue/black/silver combo, and hate to put a character in any armor that doesn't "match" them in my eyes. The gold actually works great for Garrus.

Who think we should go in other thread and post this :wizard: (kidding of course, but they need Garrus help!)
