On a more serious note. It's kinda like Kaidan, he looks like he aged a LOT. Maybe saving the universe is hard on you.

I actually think they’ve improved Alenko a lot in the third one. And I’m not trying to upset anyone... but he looked [to me] pretty fugly in the other two.

Now it’s like; ‘well, hello Kaidan! ....kudos to the plastic surgeon’

Nice to see you girls being so optimistic..   I was upset and depressed for a while about the ending spoilers..  but I decided that I won't let bad writing (assuming the spoilers about the endings are true... ) ruin the ME series for me..   hell the scenes with Garrus alone make me want to play ME3 :D

Here's to lots of Garrus love for all of us in ME3!  :wizard:<3

I'm never one for endings. I always get to the final mission in ME2 and stop playing. I've done all the fun character stuff by then! I'm sure it'll be a good game. I just want it to be GREAT.

Glad to see it still cheery in here, especially seeing as this is where i lurk the most. Some of the other character threads i read are miserable at the moment. Image IPB

Not to bring the mood down though, but can anyone clarify for me if the horrible endings are just bad in general or is it a LI and/or other characters thing? I ask here cause i don't want to go to the spoiler forum seeing as i don't actually know the endings or many spoilers at all, and this thread is one of the best at being spoiler sensitive.
ThanksImage IPB

I need hugs.

So EA decided that from all the sudden there "wouldn't be enough space on the disc" for the english VO. "DLC will be available" . They announced the same for ME 2, but said free DLC never arrived.

I've been looking forward for months to get to hear Garrus//Keener. Now it is even too late to preorder the N7 from the UK.
I'm devastated. :crying:

I feel like one of the only ones unbothered by the bad ending rumours, and who feels entirely optimistic about the game! So here I am to share my positive vibes~~

Now for Garrus! \\o/

I recently ran through the demo again and tried to get Garrus to go up the first ladder in the last mission, just to see how the animation looked on him. Once at the top I watched the ladder, Liara came up and then I waited for Garrus... he didn't come. I turn around to find him right behind me. Apparently he had ran all the way around to take the stairs instead. Image IPB

I don't think the new message from BioWare has anything to do with these "spoilers" going around, unless worse stuff has been caused by them that I haven't seen yet. It seems to be an extension of something that happened a while ago (if you want more details, check the DA2 announcements forum), and I'm glad they're taking measures against this sort of thing. No worries guys, I don't think it was only caused by possible ME3 fallout on the forums.

Also, those people saying there are no good endings? Well, that's what happens when you rush to finish a game in 23 hours that would take completionists 100+ hours. BioWare's already said that sidequests are needed for the best endings. They ruined their own playthroughs. Don't let them ruin your excitement too. I'm sure I'll still be posting my "road to happiness with Garrus" guide here on day one. I'm almost postitive that there will be a road to happiness. And I'm glad that the Garrus thread is being so calm about this compared to other places on BSN. Way to keep it together, guys!

I know this is random, but another thing I noticed while reading over all the posts I've missed... a lot of you guys would really have trouble finding a standard edition of ME3 on day one if you haven't pre-ordered? I bought both ME2 and DA2 on their release dates, the strategy guides as well, and there were plenty on the shelves. I never pre-order or wait in lines. xD

@Arcana: Great picture of the new armors. I won't have the DLC, but it's amazing to see how much I approve of Garrus in gold armor. I normally keep him in a blue/black/silver combo, and hate to put a character in any armor that doesn't "match" them in my eyes. The gold actually works great for Garrus.

Who think we should go in other thread and post this :wizard: (kidding of course, but they need Garrus help!)

*snip*

This! Both Sarendoc's part and Outmane's pic. ^^ The amount of time I spend on BSN has reduced drastically now. All of this sky-is-falling negativity is just... mind boggling. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand being strongly invested in how this game turns out, but feeding off this torrent of panic/outrage/anxiety is just.... patently unhealthy.

Thank goodness the Garrus thread stays classy. ;)

Garrus version ME3: I thought he looked awesome in the demo. There are definitely some differences, but subtle and I liked them. The stress Shep n' Crew have gone through? It's got to be like dog years. The VS remodels were about giving them greater sex appeal *waves it off* Not maturing them. Garrus looks matured, not "old" to me. Hell, if I had the option of giving my shep some streaks of premature grey in her hair and some worry lines, I would.

And maybe it's just the new armor, but his size proportions seemed better to me.

@Immortal fish: Sending you a PM (no spoilers in it, just don't want to bog down the thread with a sensitive subject)

@NekO': :( *HUGS*

There are a few cancellations going on, but you'll have to be really lucky to get it... amazon are getting the most cancels right now because they don't have the extra guns.

If all else fails, we might be able to just dig the english voice packs out of one of the versions here and send it over, likely they will be very large, but hey, we're not on dial-up anymore, right? ....I hope!

Thanks Shygravel. You're right it's best to see what the game is like myself, i will remain positive and definitely won't cancel my pre-order, especially after all the kerfaffle of having to re pre-order, thanks to Game Image IPB

Anyone else planning on using BSN being so negative and spoiler-filled as a chance to get another garrus-mancing playthrough finished and ready for ME3?
I've been very disciplined and got my loyal to Kaidan, loyal to Liara, Thane-mancing and a single Shepard done since i finished my Garrus-mancing (or headbumping if you prefer), canon Shepard. So finally time for more GarrusImage IPB

Im pretty unbothered also. Maybe because im expecting a war epic. It had been announced that by the end of ME3, the galaxy will be pretty much shattered and every civilisation will have to reconstruct. So the characters who take the front and do survive will have been very lucky. As the player I jsut need to make sure Shep and Garrus are in the surviving few.

Same here, I usually always try to be optimistic.  But I think that, especially in this finale, I'm going to take the James T. Kirk route and acknowlage that there is no such thing as a no-win-scenario and go balls-to-the-wall--every mineral, every war asset, every ally, and then just thrust myself into the chaos.

No matter what happens, though.  I am sure that Bioware has handled the journey to the ending in that if you simply read it on a piece of paper (even though it may not be the complete ending), it sounds much more deflating than if it was experienced, first-hand, on the battlegrounds.

I haven't honestly read the possible outcomes, and I don't intend to.  However, I think that for those who have, and are currently fretting and filled with anxiety, all I have to say is, during the game, don't think about the ending so much.  Truly, ME3 is going to be longer than ME2, so there will be so much going on that you really will not have time to be thinking that far ahead.

As the great Hunter S. Thompson once said, "Buy the ticket. Take the ride."

Enjoy it!! This is the big finale!! <3

Am I the only one who misses Garrus's light armor? He's an Infiltrator, why in god's name is he wearing heavy armor? The same goes for Kaidan, too, borrowing Rip Hardcheese's armor and using an assault rifle are literally the worst possible combat choices he can make.

Agreed on the happiness ending with Garrus. As far as I know [which is near to nothing] *staying spoiler free[YAY!]* is that there IS a "good" ending. As well as a complete f-ed up ending where the galaxy could apparently be taken over by Reapers and destroyed, according to Casey. I know also that theres an ending [theres probably multiple though] with Garrus alive and he's with Shepard. Now where they are, or what they are saying or doing is a mystery to me. Its probably a romance ending cuz Casey also said that the romances from me1/ppl from me1 in general will have some kind of loving "conclusion" of epic proportions. So this refers to Garrus,Tali,Kaiden,Ash and Liara. Shepard has known the significant other since the start, I can see why they would have alot of emotions involved in the end. After all the saren business, and the collectors, the reapers.....finally it'd be like taking a breather for the first time in a long time.

bout the armors: 1- ur welcome!*hug*
2- Im the exact same. Actually Im a huge sucker for the classics.Whatever outfit the characters are in, i usually stay with it the whole game because I just love the design and thats what the devs created. I left Garrus in the original archangel armor in me2 the enitre time. I disliked the DLC outfit [that damn obscure headset and orange visor? BLASPHEMY!] And the loyalty colors didnt really work for me. Seemed out of place. classic blue works so much better on the guy. And at first - imma be honest, I wasnt TOO fond of the chrome. I wanted a classic black & blue theme. But over time I actually came to love it SO MUCH. Its like Garrus has matured; he's grown into this badass respected veteran in the turian military. And a shiny Garrus is always a sexy Garrus. Plus...theres buckles now. We all know what that means....Image IPB

eshrafel wrote...

Perhaps it's his slightly-greying armour? :D

Here is "Garrus through the ages" which might help you decide.

Image IPB

I just see a whole LOT of pure manliness right there.

jokes aside: Yes Garrus has aged. All the characters have. Though to me, the most notable ones are Kaiden, Garrus, Shep [male shep anyways...], & Anderson when it comes to any reference to them looking older. Garrus has been through alot. Plus who knows what his been doing. Obviously he's back in the military, so cue dangerous missions - and at the same time knowing the impending Reaper invasion no ones really believes [thats mentally tasking and frustrating] - and trying to support his girlfriend who's been grounded on Earth who he can't even probably see til she's released.
No one said being on the galaxy's front line of defense wasnt stressful. Aside from the emotions, graphic-wise = Theres obviously HUGE detail on his face. You can really see the slight cracking, dents, and rough ridges on the plating of his face.

Me3 Garrus mandible inquiry: One thing I want to bring up though. Garrus took a missle to the face, big derp we know. His right mandible was severly damaged and part blown off near his mouth. Like its a slight smooth slope in me2. In me3, during the demo - i took a good look at his scars [....yea...I stared at Garrus' face for awhile XDDD Wanna see those sexy scars now that theyre healed] and saw that the right mandible kinda....whats a word - partially regenerated back? LOL Its got back some of the angle like the left one. Its no longer like the downward slope it was towards his mouth in me2. Can mandible plating grow back to an extend?! I highly doubt it judging from the impact still on his face.....but I cant deny the evidence. You guys should take a look at Garrus' mandible in me2 and me3. You'll see what I meanImage IPB

holy cr@p, i think i wrote up quite the post Image IPB See what you guys do to me! I just dont shut up about Garrus.Image IPB

I so appreciate the good vibes on this thread. Given the "world is endin, everything is over" attitude the rest of BSN is taking.

I can feel myself falling into going into the dark place. ;o; Need a jolt of happiness and optimism.
