Best post of the day.
So simple yet effective.
@ BSN clans other than us going into depression[?] topic: I wouldnt really know - cuz like most, my time on BSN is now limited. I visit just this clan to see my fav clanmates *hugs all* and post some shenanigans. Ppl need to realize, Yes - this is a war story. Ppl WILL die. And it confirmed that this game WILL make ya cry. Heck, even in the VO sessions, the director and the actor themselves cry! If thats not a confirmation that this game is a tear jerker that even the creators are crying - then i dont know what is. But there are happy and silly times. Its not all sadness. Gotta look at the experience as a whole. This grand journey with the ppl we care about at our side and the epicness we'll all have, then thinking "OMG ______ IS GONNA DIE!" Besides the obvious Garrusmance, Im looking forward to all the banter b/w squaddies. Its been upped to such an incredible notch that it makes me giddy!

I recently ran through the demo again and tried to get Garrus to go up the first ladder in the last mission, just to see how the animation looked on him. Once at the top I watched the ladder, Liara came up and then I waited for Garrus... he didn't come. I turn around to find him right behind me. Apparently he had ran all the way around to take the stairs instead.
ROFL!
That hasnt havent to me. Its always Liara who runs to the stairs. Garrus is leaping and climbing everything, heh.
Am I the only one that had an occurence where Garrus tried to seduce me mid mission?
It that section with the 2floors. I went upstairs; Garrus and Liara stayed below. Once the battle ended, I explored abit in the front of the 2nd floor. Was at a dark shady dead end, [thought i saw some weird mark on the wall] and next thing I know - I turn around and Garrus is standing there extremely close to me. XDDDD And liara was still downstairs!
Oh Garrus. Trying to have a sexy moment with me in a shady spot in private mid-mission? You naughty lil turian.....

I've attempted to grey some stuff below just in case you don't want to see anything at all. Like my last post, nothing specific, but I'd rather be safe.
I think we all get that this is a war story and death is an inevitable part of war, but knowing ahead of time what happens to characters we've become attached to over 5 years is problematic.
Take me for example. I'm now a massive fan of the show Criminal Minds. I started watching random episodes, and have since bought the first four seasons of the show. Now back when I saw it for the first time, I had no way of knowing when these episodes were in the plot (turns out they're mostly from seasons 4 and beyond), but by watching those episodes I had accidentally spoiled a lot of plot points.
Whenever one of the characters on the show finds themselves in mortal peril I know that, somehow, they'll make it out alive. I don't get to experience that range of emotions, the fear, the panic, the hope, and the joy when they are saved by whatever. I know they'll survive.
The reverse applies too. Although I haven't sought spoilers (some sons of [naughty] on a few threads have caught me out) it's safe to assume they involve people dying. So now, when players pick up the game it's no longer a open ended RPG. Since you know character X can die unless you do Y and Z, anyone with an attachment to character X is going to play to make sure they survive.
Crap, can't get grey text to work. If you don't want vague musings on spoilers, stop here!!!!!!!!!Now what if (again, don't know if this is one of the "spoilers or not") you know nobody's getting out of this alive. True, there may be some great banter, some witty dialog, mandible caressing, what have you, but you're now tainted with the knowledge that at some point it's all going to hell, and you're all going to die.
With that, it's understandable why people are pissed, losing their heads. If indeed there is no way, no choice, no amount of preparedness that'll see Shep and Co through the fight, that's one hell of a sucker punch. If this were allowed to develop itself naturally throughout the course of the game, you'd have all those background experiences to lead you up to the final curtain. It would be an emotional journey, with a tragic ending. I'm not so sure that most people are mad at the apparent lack of a "everyone gets out alive" ending. I think most people are angry about knowing ahead of time, and having to bare that burden of knowledge throughout the entire game.
