I'm guessing he has an early recruitment mission. (Don't worry guys, no spoilers in my explanation.) Garrus is available in the demo to bring to Tuchanka, right? Well, according to a Game Informer article I read that had a preview of ME3, Tuchanka is one of the first possible mission choices after the set path in the very beginning.eshrafel wrote...
I wonder how early on we can recruit Garrus, I hope it's pretty much first thing like in ME2 again. You'd assume so because the squad size isn't that big, but I have no idea. Hope he didn't get into more trouble after Shep got sent back to Earth D:
Also ME3 needs to mention Saren at some point. I don't care how, do it!
And I'd be happy to see a mention of Saren in ME3!
I had considered posting something like that in the panicked threads, actually. It's sad to see everyone worry. Not sure if I have the time and energy for it though. I think that, no matter what, there will always be people who believe the worst even if the source isn't completely reliable. But I am seriously considering asking the other character threads after ME3 comes out if they want a "road to happiness" guide like the one I'll be posting here and in the Thane thread. You know, if it turns out we're right about the happy endings.shygravel wrote...
This! Both Sarendoc's part and Outmane's pic. ^^ The amount of time I spend on BSN has reduced drastically now. All of this sky-is-falling negativity is just... mind boggling. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand being strongly invested in how this game turns out, but feeding off this torrent of panic/outrage/anxiety is just.... patently unhealthy.outmane wrote...
Who think we should go in other thread and post this(kidding of course, but they need Garrus help!)

Thank goodness the Garrus thread stays classy.
First of all, the bolded text - that's awesome news!ArcanaLegacy wrote...
Agreed on the happiness ending with Garrus. As far as I know [which is near to nothing] *staying spoiler free[YAY!]* is that there IS a "good" ending. As well as a complete f-ed up ending where the galaxy could apparently be taken over by Reapers and destroyed, according to Casey. I know also that theres an ending [theres probably multiple though] with Garrus alive and he's with Shepard. Now where they are, or what they are saying or doing is a mystery to me. Its probably a romance ending cuz Casey also said that the romances from me1/ppl from me1 in general will have some kind of loving "conclusion" of epic proportions. So this refers to Garrus,Tali,Kaiden,Ash and Liara. Shepard has known the significant other since the start, I can see why they would have alot of emotions involved in the end. After all the saren business, and the collectors, the reapers.....finally it'd be like taking a breather for the first time in a long time.
bout the armors: 1- ur welcome!*hug*
2- Im the exact same. Actually Im a huge sucker for the classics.Whatever outfit the characters are in, i usually stay with it the whole game because I just love the design and thats what the devs created. I left Garrus in the original archangel armor in me2 the enitre time. I disliked the DLC outfit [that damn obscure headset and orange visor? BLASPHEMY!] And the loyalty colors didnt really work for me. Seemed out of place. classic blue works so much better on the guy. And at first - imma be honest, I wasnt TOO fond of the chrome. I wanted a classic black & blue theme. But over time I actually came to love it SO MUCH. Its like Garrus has matured; he's grown into this badass respected veteran in the turian military. And a shiny Garrus is always a sexy Garrus. Plus...theres buckles now. We all know what that means....
I used to put Garrus and the other characters in non-matching armor for the stats, but... it just looked wrong, so wrong to me, when Garrus' army green camo armor clashed with the color of his tattoos and visor. Yeah, I know that's really picky, but I think of them like my own characters, who tend to have favorite colors. My MainShep loves red. Some of my Shepards don't wear bold colors into battle because they want to be stealthy. Carson, on the other hand, will wear bright orange because he feels at home in a prison jumpsuit. xD I think Garrus would prefer something with blue if he has the choice. And I just can't see the men wearing Phoenix armnor unless I imagine that they lost a bet with Shepard.
This is pretty close to my thoughts on the differences in Garrus' face. I didn't look at the ME3 screenshots and think, "Garrus looks older." He just looks like a war veteran to me. He's been through a lot, and it shows... but definitely not in a bad way.Yes Garrus has aged. All the characters have. Though to me, the most notable ones are Kaiden, Garrus, Shep [male shep anyways...], & Anderson when it comes to any reference to them looking older. Garrus has been through alot. Plus who knows what his been doing. Obviously he's back in the military, so cue dangerous missions - and at the same time knowing the impending Reaper invasion no ones really believes [thats mentally tasking and frustrating] - and trying to support his girlfriend who's been grounded on Earth who he can't even probably see til she's released.
No one said being on the galaxy's front line of defense wasnt stressful. Aside from the emotions, graphic-wise = Theres obviously HUGE detail on his face. You can really see the slight cracking, dents, and rough ridges on the plating of his face.
It would be the opposite for me, if I actually believed any of these rumors. I actively seek out the spoilers, and not just for Mass Effect. Whenever it's possible for me to find spoilers for anything, game/movie/book/TV show, I go looking for it. In my case, knowing the good news ahead of time gives me something to celebrate, and knowing the bad news ahead of time means that I can prepare for it. If there truly were no "Shepard lives" endings, that would annoy me. But then I just wouldn't play the endgame. It's like when I watch the same movies over and over again knowing that my favorite character dies in the end. I look away when it happens and, like many of you guys said, enjoy the rest of the journey.AgentMulder5 wrote...
I'm not so sure that most people are mad at the apparent lack of a "everyone gets out alive" ending. I think most people are angry about knowing ahead of time, and having to bare that burden of knowledge throughout the entire game.
Also, I'm another Criminal Minds fan.
Well then, victory is mine!outmane wrote...
Also all the endings are obscure enough to give place to many interpretations. To stay away from spoilers, heres a Garrus example:
Do FemShep and Garrus get intimate before hitting the Omega4 relay ? If you feel secure enough to give an interpretation to the headbump, youll be fine with giving an interpretation to the 'good ending'.
Same here. This is my favorite part of the game, and I'll definitely go into ME3 expecting to enjoy it!shygravel wrote...
Seriously, my head is already churning with headcanon in the event of several different outcomes. I think those of us here in this thread are all pretty into the RP elements of the game: Both in enjoying playing our Sheps and interacting with characters and filling in the spaces with our version. Take what we like, enjoy the ride for what it is (and I still very much believe the ride will be awesome) and take from it what we will. It's been epic and I'm gonna make the most of it!
I'm so glad BioWare changed the system. The new one is much better for roleplayers like myself, without taking anything away from the people who want to play pure Paragon and Renegade.outmane wrote...
Here is a post by the devs on how paragon and renegade points will work in ME3 (jsut making sure all of us seen it and are ready to go in a few days !)

But even if that were the case it wouldn't be all that bad. There's plenty of awesome stories were the leads split at the end :/

I think the reason is, people rushed to finish and missed out on a lot of content needed for a better ending. At least one of the people saying "all endings are bad" finished in 23 hours. As an RP completionist, it took me over 100 hours to finish ME1. I'm not worried. Even if they absolutely must be separated, I can easily plan out a reunion between them for my own headcanon. The joys of an overactive imagination.Liec wrote...
At this point I'm rather pessimistic about the chances of a happy ending for the romances. Haven't read the spoilers, but I can't think of anything that could cause such negativity other than having all the collective "ships" sunk.

It's definitely VERY bittersweet, but I don't think it's the paradigm of doom and gloom some people are fearing. And I'll say this: according to an analysis I just read, it may be just open-ended enough that a healthy dose of headcanon can fix it right up. edit: I should quickly mention that this applies one or two of the endings, not all of them. We'll still have to work hard for that salvageable scenario.
I hope that's not too spoilery for anyone; send the word and I'll remove this post on the double.

That being said, I've always loved the turian counciller. Anyone who fingerquotes Shepard has a quad, and Shep could stand hearing she's crazy when she SOUNDS crazy more often.

She is the reason I got into the games and fell in love with Garrus. She love that Turian like the heat from a sun.

My thoughts exactly. I've had a good feeling about ME3 since the start too.Kiraiko44 wrote...
Ive been saying all along that i'm sure there are some crappy endings, but i trust bioware to have put in a good ending or two in there, you probably just have to work a little harder to get them. people need to stop worrying so much. bioware is a company, plain and simple, and all companies want to make money, and they might make money initially off ME3 with the initial height but they're smart enough to know if they just stuck us with a bunch of **** endings they would alienate a large portion of their fanbase and that would hurt them a lot in the long run. Like the picture said, stay calm and do calibrations. I'm almost never this chill about things like this, i just got a feeling is all. i could eat my words in a few weeks but i dont think i will.
I think my answer to this is obvious by my username, but I'll say it anyway - Saren!but more on topic, i'm curious. who was your favorite NPC Turian?

The bartender at Starlounge. Or Lorik. Or Li. Or the "You humans are all racist" guy.
