The fact that he actually sat down and listened as Garrus explained everything and then actually went about trying to get the Primarch to take his son seriously?
He better be alive still on Palaven...

I don't even feel pathetic.

Garrus is just the most adorable thing in ME3. Someone a few pages back said how obvious it was that Garrus wants Shepard, and in just a few convos, I can seriously agree with this. He's slipped tiny affectionate gestures/lines into all the interactions I've had with him so far, and it's just lovely.

I must say they reeaallly ante uped the romance dialogue @_@ Hearing Garrus say: "I need you." had me reeling. I had to replay the first dialogue they have on the Normandy just to make sure it was real and not some delusional fangirl hallucination. I was pleasantly surprised.

Also, I checked out the dialogue if you break things off with him (because I am a sadist) and while he's clearly sad about it, it's incredibly well done from a character standpoint. It's obvious how much he means to Shepard, no matter what, and he doesn't hold it against her. Very mature and realistic for who they are.

second of all. O{IRSJHGPISE*&TP(*WEOUTO SQUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! omg this game is amazing.
third. ok. so when do i get Garrus? seriously. I"m not sure where to go. i'm headed to Palaven now. *another large squee* I agree though that i'm feeling a bit pressured by my past romance with Kaidan. they keep referring to that, and ai'm all like ... no . i'm with Garrus now. *headshake*
and lastly. OMG BG2 discussion. best game ever. hands down.

i think i'm in love with the turian commander. he reminds me of Nihlus with his markings and his gorgeous green eyes and his armor. I wonder if that was on purpose.

That being said, I don't think I've been this heartbroken in a long time.
I had already read the ending spoilers before the game came out, and I was really demoralized. That went away when I started playing, especially after I found Garrus. I held out some hope that there was a better ending stowed away somewhere or something along those lines; or that it wasn't as bad as the script made it out to be. For all I know there still is a better ending, though that's probably false hope on my part. But after I went and watched the Garrus romance scenes and saw how wonderful they were, I knew I had to find out if the endings were as bad as I read they were and get some closure.
Long story short, I feel completely destroyed. Over one fictional character. Don't get me wrong, I'm still gonna finish the game and play it over and over. I love the Mass Effect universe and want to do more stuff in it. But I feel totally and completely crushed. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to finish a Femshep playthrough to romance Garrus Because I don't think I can deal with that kind of heartbreak first-hand. Reading it or watching it on youtube was hard enough.
It's like I'm mourning a real person. I couldn't finish my breakfast this morning, I was barely even in reality during my class. After it was over, I came straight back to my room through the rain (great for the mood...), locked my door behind me, fell on my knees in front of my bed and wept like a child. I'm still crying. Am I a gigantic wuss for feeling this way about a fictional character? I just feel awful.

I thought this whole thread was open to spoilers. Ha ha. At least that's what the first page says.

Yeah the endings are terrible. Then again they make absolutely no sense, to be honest. Personally I'm relying on headcanon. The game is so amazing, I can't believe how ridiculous its conclusion is.

I'm sorry SalvageLycan. I was the same as you are a week ago. I guess I have some closure now so I hope you'll get some soon

Thanks. This is why I love the Garrus thread. You're all more than willing to help try and cheer someone up. This is why I really don't go anywhere else on BSN, among other reasons. Ha ha.
But yeah, seriously. The endings. Urgh. Hello headcanon. Seriously! The game is so freaking awesome, one of the best Bioware has ever made; but the endings?! FFFFFFF- *sigh* At least I can take solace in the fact they really punched up Garrus' romance scenes.

But those romance scenes. I think I've replayed them something like... ten times? Here I thought nothing could beat the Alistair romance...
Somebody has uploaded videos when you break up with him? I seriously can't do that in game.

It's especially upsetting when THE ENTIRE GAME is made of nothing but awesomeness (not buying the kid nightmares, though. They annoy me). The conclusion gives no closure whatsoever, it comes out of nowhere and it makes you feel none of your choices mattered. Way to end a trilogy that's been going on for six years!

I know! So awesome! And when I go back to playing it tonight, I know I'll be happy all over. But the endings? There couldn't have been a little more variety? A little more closure? It really only has closure on Shepard's story; what about the rest of the galaxy?! What about everyone else?!
The romance scenes are so great, but they almost make you feel worse if you know the ending. Ugh. I know this is a spoilers thread, but I feel bad for talking about this none-the less. I hate bumming people out. NO ONE LOOK AT THIS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE DEPRESSED.
Break up with Garrus? I could never do that, not in a million years. I only ever watched his ME2 break up once, and it felt like I had just kicked a puppy. Ugh.

Building the Crucible: 385 trillion credits.
Uniting the galaxy to defeat the Reapers: 1000 trillion credits.
Going on a bottle-shooting brodate with Garrus Vakarian: Priceless.

er. yeah. i'm gonna go back to squeeing over this. and really wishing i'd had time to finish my Garrus-only playthrough. breaking up with Kaidan is gonna kill me. :*( but i can't not. i'd never leave Garrus.
i did notice something though. no turian bartender? WTF, BioWare?
