Is there any kind of final scene with Garrus before the big battle (like the scene you have before you do the suicide mission)?

Yep.

And it is PERFECT! No idea how Meer does it, but Hale's delivery of the final paragon interrupt with Garrus (non-romanced) is heartbreaking.

Don't I know it. Especially if you know the endings. It makes all the Garrus romance scenes just so damn hard to watch... I'm still all broken up about it.

I am absolutely headcanoning the ending. Since it makes 0 sense, I'm not too overly worried about it. Also, as fantastic as Shep/Garrus has been so far (and my non-Garrusmancing friends have stated that he's been awesome as a friend, too, which makes me even happier, for some reason), I can't bear the thought of them being separated forever. Going down fighting at each other's sides? Definitely. But not the way it goes down in the game.

Also, this spoilery moment is one of the cutest things ever.

See, when I got to that scene with my Garrusmance FemShep, I decided to do a quicksave right before the date as I knew that there were 2 options for the final shot and wanted to see them both.

First runthrough of it, I did the paragon interupt and then missed...

Second runthrough I didn't do the paragon interupt and hit the can.

I ummed and ahhed about doing a 3rd runthrough with not taking the paragon interupt but missing the can, the thing is, my FemShep is a Sniper Infiltrator and as much as she is in love with Garrus, there was no way she was going to miss the shot. So she didn't do the cuddle at the end.

Still loved the whole scene though. Looking forward to seeing the rest

The entire romance with Garrus really impressed me in this game. I wasn't expecting kisses or the "I love you" line so that was a nice surprise. There is no Shepard without Vakarian.

I don't know where do people get the idea the date with him is for romance Garrus only, I did it without romancing him as a MaleShep.

Okey. Every time I make a new Shepard, I'll only romance Garrus.
Bioware did great on this matter. Sad that I can't say the same for some certain romances.

Hi Guys! I am delurking because I need some help, and have no idea where else to get it ^^ I have been trying to romance Garrus, and I feel like I am doing it wrong. Recently, I got to the date part, but it was just more of a bro-date without any of the romance scenes. So I basically had to restart the game because Kaidan ninjamanced me. But here I am at the Citadel conversation in the holding bay, and he doesn't say that "special" last line at the end. I haven't been to see Kaidan at all except right after the Mars mission. I don't plan on seeing him because I already bought the wine and I think that that was the trigger for him....

Any way, do you guys know if I just have to do some for missions first before I talk to him in the refugee camp?

Thanks! I am totally desperate, I don't want to have to restart from the very beginning, but I will if it's for Garrus XP

Just the reunion, and I talked to him after the mission with Eve about his family, but there was nothing overtly romantic about it...

Oh yes! Hahaha, I got the initial romance scene, where he asks if you want to continue, and paragon interrupt ;)

It's okay, maybe someone will here eventually! It just makes me nervous because I'm hoping it's not a PS3 glitch or something *sigh*

LALALALA I am not listening LALALALA.
Haven't beaten the game yet. I haven't even gone through the second game many times. So emotionally intense during that suicide mission.

Damnit, now I'm going to be thinking of what the ending might be all day.

I totally loved what they did with Garrus romance in this game. Made up for ME2 and then some.

^This. If they went down together, it would have been....easier to accept. But there is no way in hell my Shep is gonna leave Garrus behind and vice versa. They will die together or they will live together....and I am picking the latter.

Along with every Garrus fan (and most ME fans in general), there will be some major headcanon going on once I get to the ending. I am taking my time because I don't want to get to the end....except for that moment with Garrus<3. Though it seems completely crude of them to throw that last part in (along with other LI dialogues) to end it the way they did. But headcanon is gonna fix that! Garrus and Shep are gonna have some Krogan, Turian, and Human kids!

I am still shocked Bioware did this to its fans and seriously thought that people would like it and then tell people there is a "perfect" "happy" ending! What the hell, Bioware? What the hell? <_<:pinched:

Unless I'm missing something, a certain amount of ending is open to interpretation. I mean, QECs still exist, FTL travel is still reasonably speedy, and there's all sorts of crazy tech. I'm sort of... I don't know, surprised at how GLOOMY people get about it.

I'm also not all that far in because between work and multiplayer, I've been busy. But the expression on my Shep's face when Liara mentioned a friend on Palaven, the Garrus reunion and the cheek kiss all made me go "EEEEE".

Sure but... ok obviously ENDING SPOILERS ahead... the Normandy getting stranded in the middle of nowhere... they could be anywhere in the galaxy. And space travel only goes so fast without the mass relays. Not to mention fuel... maybe they can build a distress beacon to get rescued... if that's even possible.

Hem. Here I am making myself feel all depressed. I seriously don't know what's gonna happen when I finally get to the ending *for real*. I might come back here and cry like a baby. Hope you guys can take it.

And awww the cheek kiss. <3 I thought the headbump in ME2 was adorable but the kissing in ME3... makes me grin everytime.

If the worst case scenario is 30 years distance, that's not actually hideous. Especially with instant communication. 15 years of travel apiece.

....Maybe I've just read too much science fiction, but all in all, it doesn't feel as hosed to me as it does to some. If my Shep's alive, she's stealing Hackett or Anderson's entangled pair communicator and chatting with her team the whole way.

Oh, mine is too, unless she has a nervous breakdown and commits suicide from desperation (which she won't do). I'm actually much more positive about this whole thing than a week ago. However I still don't understand why Bioware gave us this ending. They promised us a definitive ending which would answer all our questions, but I feel like there are a LOT of questions that remain unanswered about the fate of the galaxy.

Just a feeling, though. You are right I think, we're being too sensitive about this.

My goal now is to keep Shep alive!

SPOILERS AHEAD - in regards to ending - after credits scene

@Hadeedak  Actually...in the after the credits scene, in the future, there is a discussion about space flight....and they talk as if it STILL isn't even possible. And since Shep is dead at this point (as she/he is a Legend) along with her crew including Liara, it might be 800-1000 years in the future, if she is also dead. Maybe the fans are reading too much into but Bioware should've given us a clear ending! The scene with the grandpa just adds more questions and confusion/anger. I don't think it would take THAT long to return to space flight and build some type transport - similar to the mass relays. And on top of that, they (humans) talk about other species as if they never lived or are possibly still alive...some where out there. So my headcanon totally cuts this scene out.

And I don't care if new mass relays aren't built in my Shep's life (after the decision because yes, my Shep will live on...with Garrus<3), but there will be space flight even if it takes longer and if they have to stay in cyro-stasis longer as well.

So this is why people are pissed off. Its what happens to Shep, the Normandy and her crew on top of the extra end scene that creates an even bleaker image of the universe with no space flight and the possible end of other civilizations. Which is why I ask, how is this better than the Reapers winning? Hopefully Bioware clarifies the endings... or at least that stupid scene with the grandpa. I know everyone didn't get that scene so I am hoping I won't either.

ENDING SPOILERS

Actually, even that last scene is ambiguous. The kid asks "Where can I go to the stars?" and the guy says something like "someday my sweet"... so that does not necessarily imply that space travel is doomed. Maybe the kid's too young.

I hate it though so I'm denying this scene entirely. I hate it with a burning passion. I don't care about those people and I don't care who the hell voiced the old guy. Everything we've been working for and what are the outcomes of OUR actions, I wanted to know that. What happened to the krogans, the asari, the turians, the quarians, and what happened to my friends. I don't care that my darling Shep and her crude stories are used as a bedtime story.

And I'm still very disappointed we didn't get an ending in which the Reapers win.

Wow, rant. Sorry.
