Ha! I just realized, you know how Garrus commented on the fact he watched videos on human reunions? That means for 6 months he fantasized about his reunion with Shepard. So cute!

Yeah I thought of that too. Its so sweet!

So just finished the game (really quick run, probably missed heaps of stuff) and now have returned to the BSN (hello new people!) free of the paranoia that comes with spoilers.

I bet you guys and gals are squeeing like crazy, I lost count of how many awesome moments there were between our favourite turian and the commander. Honestly, I am so impressed with how much of our feedback was listened to, it was beautiful and those good moments really made up for all those depressing and sad ones that tied our stomach into knots.

Have much catching up to do but, just wanted to say hi to everybody!

It's adorable how committed he is in making their relationship work.

Hi!

I have to say that Garrus and everything he did in ME3 was a highpoint for me. Garrus isn't technically my 'canon' romance for Mass Effect (he's my secondary), but he still manages to be my favorite. Out of any of the characters in the games I think he legitimately is Shep's most trusted companion. I didn't take too much attention of him in the first game but when he revealed himself in the second I started to really notice his character. Went back to one and realized I missed his development.

Anyways I have to say even if some people didn't think he didn't have as much LI content as the VS or Liara I think his was best both as friends and as LI. Even romancing Kaidan, I felt my Shep had a stronger bond with Garrus. Love Garrus and agree with Shep "There's no Shepard without Vakarian."

*runs off to start her Garrus LI run*

There really isn't a Shepard without Vakarian. They're like two peas in a pod and the fact they're two different species from completely different worlds makes the relationship even more beautiful.

Agreed. All my Shepards, in spite of their varying quirks and differences, can agree on one universal fact - that Garrus was probably the best thing to ever happen to them.
Frankly I'm really eager to see what happens with Garrus and the Shepard that romanced him in ME3. I was going to load their romance up second, after completing my sacrifical Kaidan!Shepard, but found out that the stupid import system only imported the first run I ever did with that character where Garrus was accidently NOT romanced. So I'm going through ME2 again right now - thankfully I had a save with that character in the second act laying around.

Me too, I just finish ME3 but I'm little disapointed because Shepard and Kaidan had not a relationship.:(

PS. Ah, I like happy endings.

I just started my Femshep/Garrus run. Finished first playthrough Femshep/Kaidan. I STILL brought Garrus along for pretty much EVERY mission. I feel naked without him. I've been saying it since ME 2: Garrus is Bro4Life.

Hello Garrus thread. So I've jsut finished the game, and ofcourse I cried like a baby, even if I knew the endings. <_<

I havnet sorted out all my ideas yet. But one thing is for sure, I'm so happy that all those years ago (ok jsut 2) I decided my Shepard need Garrus by her side. If oen thing ever makes sense in this scrw up MEverse, its FemShep hooking up with the most awsome and loyal Turian ever.

Im not sure if Im pissed about the endings. some parts of it I highly respect. It somehow makes sense in the story it self, even if it stings so hard.
I dont regret a thing. Even if all went to hell (I dont want to think about it right now).

Shepard and Garrus... It was just made to happen. And it happened.

Garrus / Joker and Garrus / Vega have the most funny convos. It was just pure gold.

Well my Garrus romance Shep has now been completed... she is now sat in that bar watching over him :crying:

I ain't gonna deny I cred, oh how I cried... first the final conversation got me welling up, then of course the scene with Anderson and Shep, then the choice... I spent about 5 minutes trying to work out which way to go and I completely lost it for those 5 minutes, but then it hit me like a true moment of clarity and there really was only one choice to use.

The ending wasn't entirely what I was hoping could get before knew of the endings, but to me it did make sense and I am content with how it ended, because Shep dying was one of the things I had thought of, I just wish a certain someone had been in the flashback scene :(

If they ever fix it, I might do the 'Restart mission' thing (as it's on the Citadel) so I can watch it and make the ending perfect, though in my head, just as making that final walk, she hears the final conversation that she had with him again. Damn... just thinking about it got the track 'An End Once and For All' back in my head. That really is a tear jerker of a track :crying:

I'm still in full denial of the endings. Already have my headcanon. It feels wonderful.

During the final walk in my case, she only sees him. While keeping thinking "I WANTED those babies with you. I really did."

Haha! I hate he idea of thosebabies so much during ME2. But now... I guess I realize I like the idea of it. The commitment behind it. I still think they would have simply adopted. But talking about it was sweet.

æs for my canon ending. Well lets say Shep and Garrus are up there, proud of what they've done and finally having the rest they deserve. And even if I'm sad, I know Garrus is fine with it and proud. He was always one for doing what ever it took. no regrets.

On my first playthrough, Garrus got vaporized... He and Shep were the best of friends (Kaiden romance) so they're chillin' in the sky right now, looking down on their friends, cracking wise, calibrating, and sipping drinks on the tropical beachside.

I'm squeeing like a fangirl over my Garrus/Shep playthrough now though. Not that far, but my god it's glorious! It'll probably end the same, tropical heaven beach, bar, the works. I'm okay with them dying, so long as they're together. ;_; There's no Shepard without Vakarian after all.

Oh no don't get me wrong, I really didn't want mutant babies, I wanted to adopt :P. My FemShep wanting kids just felt right for her character, being a colonist, she finally found someone she was willing to have a new family with, so she fought for that.

And failed.

For now. New playthrough launched. I'm saving Shepard's ass this time. And still denying the Normandy's fate.

Oh gawd, The final normandy scene  is just so out of the blue. I was ok with seeing Joker and EDI cause I chose the Synthesis ending but then I see a tiny garrus getting out of the spaceship  WTF!  2 mins ago he was with me and Vega running to the reaper beam... <_<

So yeah. He got to heaven before Shep. And ordered the drinks while she was fixing things down there and saying her goodbyes to Anderson. The rest is history...

That's a great way to go. :)

I myself am weak. I want a happy ending between these two. Can't imagine it any other way.

Yeppppp, that's basically my headcanon at this point. The Normandy scene never happened.

Whats nice with Garurs romance is both headcanons work perfectly. You can go for having them retire and live happy cause he actually tells her thats what he's hoping for. Or you can go with them dying on the front line and looking down proudly from heaven's bar. It's clear Garrus is ok with Shep doing what needs to be done.

Both types of endings make sense. That makes me thing Shep/Garrus was really meant to be.

Agreed.

I'm coming to terms with my ending, I think it's fitting that in the end their efforts paid off and the sacrifices of so many were given some sort of meaning. There was just no way that one could live without the other after everything they'd been through together.

I'm only sad that their adventures are now over.

It funny to see it took a third game for Bioware to realize people needed to die because of the Reapers to make it feel like a real war <_<

Im not displeased by it. If anything, it gives some meaning to all the efforts Shep and Garrus put out for the last 3 years of their life.  They deserve their rest, wherever each of us want to believe they end up. At least Bioware got that right.

I'm absolutely furious about the endings, I think it failed on every single level. Made no sense, no closure, stupid explications, no choice, all that jazz. Had the Reapers been better explained, I probably would have accepted Shep and Garrus dying. But... this... it was an insult.

I won't rant again about it.

But damn do I love headcanon. And you're right outmane, both headcanons work just fine, that's the beauty of the romance.
