Oh, here's an interesting off-topic question. Is it weird that as a straight, somewhat average geeky male that my favorite ME romance is with Garrus?

No.  If by romance you mean the story behind Garrus and FemSheps relationship, then no.  It is just a story, it does not mean that you have any attraction towards Garrus.  I dont think that that is really strange.  I know quite a few straight girls who are huge fans of the Tali romance.

I know exactly what your talking about! My last Shepard tried so hard to stay faithful
to Liara, but that failed and now I have to play the game all over again unless I want to experience the conquences in ME3 that Hudson keeps ominously warning us about.

I've got a Kaidan faithful girl. A little easier to resist in that game, but Rachel is entirely unattached. (She's intended for the Joker Romance, if there is one.)

I really had to push myself to not to romance Garrus with my Kaidan faithful girl, I regretted it after. By the time I imported my Shepard with the Liara romance I had no more willpower. If Joker is an option in the third game Garrus will finally have some real competition.

That's why I'm only playing ManSheps right now. I want to see the bromantic aspect before the romantic aspect. With FemShep, it's simply not happening. I can go down after doing his LM, and say "Well, let's just have a friendly chat without getting all tangled up in romance," and five minutes later Garrus is in her bed and I'm all like "What the f**k just happened?"

My insanity playthru was MEANT to be for joker, and when i chat with garrus, I go into his room strong willed repeating "I wont romance him. I WONT romance him. Dont let his voice or looks get to ya. Stay strong!"

*few minutes later*
......*walking out the main battery* sigh...his voice is so.......wait a second - did i just? ......DAMN IT! XD He got me AGAIN!
screw it - imma upload another one of my femsheps prior to the LMs and NOT romance garrus or thane for the jokermance.

Not even slightly.

Not at all. I have guy friends who romanced Garrus with their femsheps because Garrus is just THAT awesome.
There's even male game developers that romanced him too. The staff over at playstation mag mentioned that Garrus' and Tali's romances are "THE BEST".  AND the people over at G4's "X-Play" romanced him too. One of the hosts is a funny guy named Adam Sessler, and he claimed he "just wanted to sleep with Garrus that's all". XDDDD Want proof? Watch when they gave Mass effect 2 their game of the year award.  @1:42 he says it  [dont mind Morgan - when she mentions "hatred" to some characters, she actually despises Miranda with a passion. She's also a BIG supporter of FemShep.]

Fewer calibrations in ME3? I SAY THE NAY! Garrus's calibrations should result in some super weapon & if you interrupted him to many times in ME2, the universe is screwed.
