*Whew* okay so there aren't always bodies then? I had over 5,000 war points or whatever they are. Because I limped around looking and I saw a turian (at which point my heart jumped into my throat) but as I got closer I noticed it wasn't Garrus. I'd feel horrible if he died and I didn't find him... or if he did die why couldn't I get a little scene like you get in the collector base in ME2 when an non-loyal team leader dies?

But I mean, even if there aren't any bodies it still makes NO sense

Alrighty guys, I just found balm to soothe my soul after the endings. Even if you're a person that normally doesn't like fanfiction I would like to direct any/all of you to http://www.fanfictio.../1/Ad_Infinitum if you want to exprience what I personally thought should have been the ending.

I don't even need an ending DLC anymore, that story gave me the closure I needed. Hoping it will help you guys too.

Thank you for this. I'm writing my own myself :)

EDIT: no, I didn't see my squadmates' bodies, and trust me, I looked. I was in horror thinking I had just doomed to death my two best friends. Apparently, I didn't.

I haven't seen this here yet:

fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2012/070/1/7/mass_effect_3_ending__abridged_by_kanzel-d4sg53w.png

Found it on Reddit, the artist's name on deviantart is Kanzel

Reminds me of Poochie for some reason. "I have to go now, my planet needs me."

Anyone have a video of FemShep saying goodbye to Garrus but as non-romance?

I'm just popping in to say I finished my run with Garrus as LI. For me, its the best written, most satisfying romance I've seen in a Bioware game.

Well done to the writers and to the VA's both of them 'knocked it out of the park' (to borrow a metaphor from the US (or is that a simile?)).

*pops out*

Thanks for posting this. It was lovely. I totally agree with the author about there being a chance to convince the Catylist that it's wrong.

yeah, I didnt get the whole Normandy ending at all......I went into the final run spoiler-free, had no idea what was coming. Took my two best-buds-from-the-begining with me (Garrus and Tali) on the final run for the crucible. After dying I dont know how many times to that #$%@! marauder, I kind of did a shuffly loop of the area and found my dead squad behind a burned out mako. (and died a little inside)....but I know people who have done the same thing and had their 'dead' squad walk out of the Normandy on the abandoned planet.
I know Chakwas is good, but daaaaaamn.
And if they do live, how/why did Joker swoop in, snag your squad and leave Shepard there?

Looks like there was supposed to be some Joker dialouge there that got cut, it's a thread in the ME3 Spoiler pages.

And before knowing of the cut Joker scenes, I commented that it was 'cause Joker/EDI thing. I liked the next post, it was a poster of Joker with EDI hologram in background, with the word "F You, I got mine."

Something that made me laugh for the depression that was the endings.

Dangit! I didn't want to do a second play through for Jacey, but my only other Shepard all the way through for ME3 is a Thane-romance.

Looks like Jacey Shepard will have to go do Arrival and Overlord from ME2 and then make another run through ME3......let's see if she can survive this time. I'd rather have her and garrus alive (all be it in separate areas of space) or dead together, not one or the other.

I remember that
And that's exactly why I'm picking the Destroy ending.
... still it's awful. I love EDI. :(

There's  a thing you can do with Dragon age and character profiles and updating the pictures.  It's somewhere on the BSN but I can't find it. -.-

Thank you very much!

To stay a little bit on topic, did anyone else feel awful when Garrus said "Damn it! Look at Palaven!" during the Menae mission?

Hmm, I have a question.

I only romanced Garrus.  I made sure to steer clear of all romance in ME1, and took up with Garrus in ME2 and ME3.

During the date scene, on the way there, Garrus asked my Shepard if there were anything she wanted to do before she died.  And she tells him, "I've woken up next to a turian."  I'm wondering if this is because Garrus was the only one I romanced, or if he says that to everyone who romances him?  I'm pretty sure he says it to everyone he's in a relationship with, but I thought it'd be worth asking since no one's mentioned that line.  I thought it was funny--especially when Garrus asks Shepard if she's trying to make him blush.

Just finished ME3. Decidedly "meh" on the ending. Not happy, not angry, just "meh." On the other hand, everything's easier if most of the characters die and I shunt everyone sideways LOST-style. Honestly, my Shep's deserved some rest.

@ Brass Thats one of my favorite lines really. i love how Shep has humor when romancing garrus. Its not specific to not having any previous relation tho. Did he ask you about needing to figure things out? That might be specific to Kaidan/Liara-tot-Garrus playthroughs.

@ Jaulen The price for Shep to stay alive is sacrificing all artificial life. To me thats to high. Since I have to headcanon that Garrus isnt stranded on an island somewhere to meet him again anyway, I would prefer to just headcanon the whole ending at that point.

@ Sable Im with you on the 'deserving rest" part. So far My favorite headcanon is Garrus and Shep getting the warrior death they deserve. Him first so he can get the drinks ready for them in heaven. Then Shep after she said her goodbyes to Anderson.

@Outmane - Yeah, he did say the needing time to figure things out thing. There probably should've been something special said or done for a Garrus-exclusive romance, especially considering how hard it is to achieve that since the ME1 folks like to ninja-mance you. Especially Bioware's beloved Liara. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike Liara, but it really, really feels like she's pushed on Shepard.

I think the reason why joker left was because in all accuracy, the Mass relay being destroyed would have destroyed them too. Which in hindsight, is the only thing that really made sense XD;

If we all go back to the Alpha relay which pretty much was a HUGE explosion, should have taken out earth and the planets around it, and likewise for the other relays. Another thing that just went over their heads I guess.

But back to the bar idea, I think it would have been great if it faded to white and you saw Shep waiting at the bar nodding to her crew in some booth to the side celebrating. And the camera follows closely behind a turian walking up to her, then placing a hand on her shoulder. She looks back, smiling, and then it ends.

ugh why didn't it end like that....?

So if you never romanced anyone in ME1, does Garrus on your ME3 date not say the, "Seems like you needed some time to figure us out," thing?

That was just a general statement due to the time they had apart and the war at hand, not because she was questioning their relationship.
