So if you never romanced anyone in ME1, does Garrus on your ME3 date not say the, "Seems like you needed some time to figure us out," thing?

He still said it, even though I dodged all the ninja romance in ME1. He asks if you're sure he's what you really want in ME2 a lot so it seemed consistant to me.

Silly Gar-bear; I am a one turian kinda woman <3

Garrus does not go from "wounded in London" to "smiling to Joker on a random planet, knowing Shep is most likely dead."

I'm not sure what I think about that scene. I had Garrus and EDI as my final squad...

Ditto. At first I was afraid they might have been vaporized during that run to the beam.
At first I was ok with Shepard sacrificing him/herself, but the thought of Garrus loosing his best friend. That gets me.

Feel lucky - on my first playthrough with no MP and I accidently missed a few mission, the part where Shep draws herself up and starts limping, when mine fell - she fell face first into dead Garrus. I lost my **** and turned my PC entirely off. I went to bed and didn't come back until the morning when I reloaded a save several hours back to do missions I missed.

Finally finished the game with my own Shepard, and wanted to get out a few thoughts.

So, guys...this is it, isn't it? No more new Garrus content. He'll have to live on in our hearts and memories now.

I'm not trying to depress anyone, but...I'll miss him, you know? The Garrus/FemShep romance is truly one of the most treasured and beautiful relationships in fiction I've ever seen, and to think it's over...heh. Kind of overwhelming. Just need some time to sort through it all, I guess.

But no regrets. It's been one hell of a ride.

Honored to have made the journey with you, ladies and gentlemen. <3

FFFFFFF- That sucks.

Speaking of turians, was there ever another "Ah yes, 'Reapers'." coversation with the councilor?

My first playthrough my EMS wasn't high enough (it locks it in at the start of Act 3 or something) since before Act 3 I was just shy of being able to keep Shep alive, then at the end, when I went for it, I had just enough to keep her or Anderson alive, and we both died.

Garrus was alive.....no dead bodies on my run to the Citadel beam.

But I LOVE the idea of the ending being a bar scene and Shepard meeting up with any dead squaddies in heaven....that would have been beautiful.

The caliber of Garrus romance, over the 3 games, with the solid friend - lover - soulmate arc, its truely something to treasure. It could have gone wrong many times but we were really lucky, ME3 gives a solid performance.

Im so happy I chose him for my femshep. They deserve some rest <3

Couldn't of said it better myself...

I just finished the game today, myself. Garrus's romance was awesome. (The date on the Citadel was too cute, heheh.) Cried when they said their goodbyes in the end.

So I just took the "miss the shot" option on the Citadel shooting scene with Garrus and got the "I am Garrus Vakarian and this is my favorite spot on the Citadel!" line.... I still haven't stopped f***ing laughing. :P

I finally got my copy of ME 3... been locked out from this thread what seems like forever. Hope to catch up with you all soon... all this ending doom and gloom made me so worried I totally forgot about Garrus. Oh Garrus... <3

That was just a general statement due to the time they had apart and the war at hand, not because she was questioning their relationship.

Yay, thank you! I love that exchange, I'm so glad I'll get to see it when I finally start my playthrough

Hey guys, thought I leave this here for you. It's my way of coping. :(

"May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead."

Also because you guys will understand all the lines used.

...Schirach, that was amazing. I will admit, listening to Garrus' final conversation, I actually cried a bit. I realize that the ending won't necessarily give me the closure I wanted, and to avoid drama I won't go any further than that regarding the endings, but in my headcanon (and since the epilogue was so damn vague) they DO get back together.

Because really, they deserve that. More than anything.

Hmm... is it possible to start a romance with Garrus in ME3. I couldn't see him as something more than a friend in ME2 but I think I would like to see for myself how it goes in ME3. Do I have to start a new FemShep in ME2 and romance Garrus in order to romance him in ME3?

He's only available in ME2, he'll be with Tali if not.

Thank you for that fast reply   =)    well, there's nothing like starting a new FemShep. See you in this thread in a few months then.

I've just joined this forum to add my voice to the many discontented at the ending of such a brilliant game and brilliant series. But Ive been a lurker here for a long while and loved reading the Garrus thread. My original Shep romanced Liara (I seem to prefer the Aliens!) but as soon as it became an option with Garrus a whole new Shep was created and was obviously the first one I played with.

And while the endings were horrendous, and I'm gutted that Shep and Garrus don't get to reunite (please give me a DLC) the rest of the game was spot on.

Their date was amazing, my heart leapt when he grabbed Shepard by the waist. But it was that final Garrs/ Shepard scene, their final goodbye. Oh my Lord. I was in tears. It was beautiful and sad. And when she said about always watching him and she was crying and I was crying. Emotional stuff.

But they need to sort it so they can get their happy ending. I want those Turian- Human babies damnit!

Ok I'm about 26 hours in, just got of Thessia and received that mocking letter from Kai so I went down to get comfort from Garrus and lo and behold he did just that. God I love that Turian. Btw, does he ever come up to your quarters? Also off topic question but which number in the war terminal is the one required to keep Shep alive? Top number or bottom?

I loved that my LI, especially Garrus, could comfort my Shepard who was feeling all the pressure on her shoulders. Yes he does ocme to your quarters.

The bottom number, the efficient one.

@Bluumberry: When does he come up? And also, crap. I'm only in the 2000's for the bottom, don't have to play multiplayer my ass. I've only missed maybe 5 side quests picking up artifacts and books off planets. Not happy...

I only missed out on it by about 169 troops to go. You have no idea how annoyed I was to find out I missed the 'happy' ending by that much.

Man, I really don't want to play multiplayer. At all. Poor Shepard, s/he really does get screwed. :/
