social.bioware.com/forums/forum/1/topic/355/index/9727423/1 Just reading that hallucinations theory about the endings, and it got me thinking. I think Bioware's just pulled a sneaky one, that kiddie symbolizing a lot more than I first thought. If so, then those endings might just be epic afterall, will have to finish the game ASAP now :?

Screw the hope. Just watched the ending vids, oh gawd....kill me now :crying::crying::crying:

*hugs* There there. Headcanon.

Indeed, I'll come up with something about them surviving on Earth =D Thanks!

I'm looking forward to the date scene, as someone mentioned its one thing seeing it on the tube, another seeing yer Shep in there

So, to savour the moments we had with Garrus, I recorded them and uploaded them. Just for you Garrumancers and me :)

Date with Garrus:

Night with Garrus:

Good bye Garrus: http://youtu.be/PqkjDdFBB0c

Always have tissues ready, specially for that last one.

We love you Garrus!

Garrus might not blush, but the Citadel date without the interrupt... I sure can.

So I was thinking why this ME3 Garrus romance is so good while playing my faithful Kaidan Shep.

And I realized how lucky we are with Garrus because you really get to bask in the glory of Shep + Garrus for the whole game. Not only we get all the fantastic friendship moments but theres all the extra flirting here and then. I guess the other romance that gets a similar treatment is Liara.

Im working on my Kaidan romance and all I can think of is 'why am I working so hard to make it work. Ill be dead in 4 hours'. Its a bit disheartning. Id rather replay my canon and run to a glorious death with Garrus.

Also, even if you stay alive at the end of the destroy ending, you'll have destroyed all artificial life (geths and EDI) and reaper tech (citadel and relays). and Garrus is on that far away planet where either him and Tali or the human crew will have a hard time finding food  (levo vs dextro food).

So headcanon might still be the best answer for a happy ending . Or like Sable says, let them meet in heaven.

Yeah, if the ending isn't a hallucination, I think Shep and Garrus are honestly better off meeting in that bar.  And I say this as a RL atheist who finds it very awkward when people pray for me or say things about meeting in heaven.  But in the Mass Effect universe, I will totally believe in whatever afterlife if it means Shep and Garrus can see each other again.

The destroy ending obliterates both the Reapers and the relays.  Maybe in the Synthesis or Control endings since the Reapers are still around they can be used for their much better FTL, but that's a very, very long shot IMO.

I am an atheist too and I can also believe in some sort of afterlife that allows Shep and Garrus to reunite. But my Shep is going to live (7,000+ and 100% readiness) so I don't need to go with the afterlife thing unless she or he died which is not happening.

Plus Shep and Garrus are adopting some kids. Done deal in my headcanon. And honestly I feel like they were just starting their relationship (which goes for all of the LIs actually - except for VS and Liara) so I just can't let it end like that.

I read an awesome fan fict. from someone on Deviantart and she (?) created a 4th option. Shep says screw you to the stupid Star Kid and doesn't pick any of the options (since she doesn't trust him) and she pretty much waits a few minutes to find out that all the forces she gathered are destroying the Reapers. I believe she had the Catalyst/Star Kid as really being Harbinger trying to trick Shep.

I personally LOVE this. Repeaers gone. EDI and Geth alive. Shep alive (if players want). Normandy didn't crash. Mass relays aren't destroyed. I know this may be too happy for some people but I still love it. Plus a lot of planets are completely destroyed or on the brink of it and lots of people died. So it is bittersweet, with more focus on the sweet. I pretty much decided this is canon for my Shep. After Shep and Garrus reunite on Earth, they help to rebuild it and eventually on Earth or Palaven they adopt a kid from Wrex and a turian.....and maybe a human. So yeah....awesome ending for Shep, Garrus and their friends. <3

For everything Bioware did wrong with ME3...

...One thing they did NOT do wrong was the Garrus' romance. He sends you romance related messages if you have the Datapad app for iPad. I ONLY just figured that out.

The one for your sex scene is something along the lines of: 'It's late. Went to get some water. You were still asleep. Just wanted to tell you how beautiful you are. Love G'. I sat there grinning like an idiot for about an hour after I got that.

Least it explains what he was doing dressed and out of bed.

 SO
I had a crazy thought. I don't think this is incredibly profound but I was thinking about meeting Garrus at that bar... and then it struck me that all the bars in Mass Effect have names like "Purgatory" and "Afterlife"
Pretty crazy huh?

I plan on drawing a picture of them drinking in a place called 'Heaven' that might change though. Maybe something not so literal, like 'Pearly Gates'

Any ideas? :o

Something kind of sad just occurred to me. In the Shadowbroker DLC you see a log of Garrus talking to his sister and they're talking about how his mother is very ill... and then in ME3 he just says he has his father and sister.
So his mom died between games?  :crying:

I know Garrus isn't a really emotional guy but I sorta wish Shep got the chance to comfort him about that...

His mother was moved offplanet before the reaper invasion because of her illness. So I head-cannoned that she's still okay.

I'm disappointed Bioware didn't let us meet his family. FEMALE TURIANS DAMNIT!

WHAT. Seriously? What app is this and how does it work? Is it official or a fan thing? I don't have an iPad so I'm pretty clueless.

I would really really like to see it when you do.

In my head theres the crew in a booth and theres Garrus welcoming FemShep with her glass by the bar. They are all celebrating victory and theres some beautiful light effect cause its in heaven.

You made me want to draw it now... so not sure how that would come out :pinched:

YES! Seriously! I squealed when it popped up on my iPad.

Datapad is an official EA app, free of charge, definately on the iPad, not sure about the iPhone, but requires an Origin account (Which is your BSN account anyway) and internet access.

I'm assuming there's more messages, since your squadmates/friends apparently send you messages as your game progresses and you do missions (He sent me another message regarding the Geth VR, called me 'gutsy'), so I'm TEMPTED to do one more playthrough of ME3 to see if there are anymore.

I'm actually smiling like an idiot because Garrus thinks Shepard is beautiful.

I feel like a 13-year-old girl.

Both Garrus and his VA , Keener, have that effect on people. ;)

I'm going to redo this save of ME3 tonight to see what other messages show up (This darn thing is very finiky though on what messages it wants to send and when and from whom), so I'll post as I get them, but if anyone else has an iPad, please feel free to share too!

I seriously thought for about a minute about getting an iPad just for this.  For those of us who use Android, would the rest of you lovely people mind posting the Garrus notes?

Also, I am sitting here grinning like a fool at the thought of Garrus calling Shep beautiful.

Do other characters send you messages too, such as Vega/EDI/Javik (LOL)/etc? What about non-squadmembers such as Wrex?

Hmmm... backing up a second here.

"Wow. The vids Joker gave me- well, they
never got this far. There was the part about sleeping together, but this..."

Now, there are three options.
  • Joker downloads every inappropriate vid on the extranet - possible, but that's a massive undertaking. Imagine the porn of at least eight sentient, spacefaring species, some with thousands of years of recording. Also, every combination of every gender of every race...
  • Garrus inquired specifically, and Joker was happy to search out material to help a bro in need - maybe, but then there's...
  • At a 1 out of 3 chance, Joker has his own collection of human/turian "amateur cinematography" *ahem* Specifically female human/male turian.
Think about that the next time you go up into the cockpit to talk with him. ;)

Sadly, datapad isn't on the Android as far as I know, or else I'd have DEFINITELY gotten it on my phone (I'm an odd person who has an iPad but doesn't have an iPhone). Someone would have to check.

Yup! I got messages from Jack, Samara, EDI, Zaeed, Tali, Jacob, Vega, Liara and Javik (Javik asked me if I was having trouble with the airlock, I lol'ed)! You apparently get them from Anderson and Joker too, but like I said, this darn app is VERY finiky on when, where and from whom it wants to send messages from.

I'm very excited to see who else sends me messages (I want something from my bro-bot!)

...Oddly nothing from Kaidan, but I did kinda tell him to ****** off after the coup.

The only reason I even HAVE an iPad is my mom. But I've made good use of it.

ME: Infiltrator (Which is also a LOT of fun) works on both the iPad and the iPhone, so if any BSNer's have an iPhone, please check to see if you can get it!
