So, to savour the moments we had with Garrus, I recorded them and uploaded them. Just for you Garrumancers and me
Date with Garrus:
Night with Garrus:
Good bye Garrus: http://youtu.be/PqkjDdFBB0c
Always have tissues ready, specially for that last one.
We love you Garrus!
Garrus might not blush, but the Citadel date without the interrupt... I sure can.
Hehe i hear you, I usually sit with a pillow (not literally) infront of my face giggling like a 12 year old.

My boyfriend dragged me into playing Mass Effect and I've been a Garrsus fangirl since the beginning. I have to admit though that I only rushed through the first game and when he told me that I could have romanced someone I was kinda disappointed about missing my chance with Garrus - he just pat my shoulder saying, it's okay since he wasn't an option there.
Now, after beating the third piece he got so jealous he tried to romance Samantha (I wish every Mass Effect girlfriend could have seen his face when he found out she wasn't into his MaleShep, lol), and well, I can understand his feelings. I guess every single Garrus fan feels somewhat special, even though there must be quite a lot of girls like us. Still the story telling makes you forget about all the other FemSheps who are an item with Garrus now since this whole love story just turned out awesome
My Shep is a lucky woman, she chose well, and damn it, I bursted out in tears at the very end of the game, cause... well, I just realized that all those things we talked about at the good bye conversation won't happen after all. No turian-human babies, no adopted krogan children, no tropical island laziness... but up till then it was a magical tour and I can't feel grateful enough to BioWare that they made this romance happen
It was lovely and clear, and none of us "had to feel dirty" in the third game.

So ME3... I am not going to talk about the endings! We will pretend there are no endings.
First meeting? After waiting two years for Garrus, spirits that was fantastic! And cute and I love it! Also I constantly loaded game to talk him again and again
Conversation about his task force and his dad? Great! I would love to meet his dad.
Conversation about his worries and his family:crying: and that hug
The date? Couldn't be better (well, it could be longer however...) Fantastic!
Alone time before Cerberus mission? Amazing!
And well, goodbye... I was crying so hard, because I had a feeling it would be tough to survive (I won't talk about the endings. The endings don't exist). The goodbye was great:crying:
And I am soo pleased there weren't any head bumps 0.o And I am very happy that Bioware listened to fans and give us all those hugs and kisses and conversations without beating around the bush.
Don't worry Garrus. There will be turian-human baby. I am Commander Shepard and I can do the impossible

They had bloody well better get a DLC fix so I can get my happy ending. Sure it may be fluffy but it will never really be all everyone's fine yay! because of all the deaths. It will always be bitter sweet. They just left out all the sweet.
Not that I think Garrus and shep would settle down. Parents yes, but clearly on the next version of the Normandy, still fighting the good fight, clearing up the post Reaper/ Cerberus mess.

I feel EXACTLY the same. And of course I would love to see ME4 with that kind of story, but right know I will yell and ask and give sad big puppy eyes for the new endings

I still can't think about that Garrus goodbye without this tightness in my chest. It was just so beautiful.
I can't listen to this song anymore Because of that feeling. My music player played it after I finshed the game and it reminded me so much of the Garrus femShep romance as it was still fresh in my mind. Every time I hear the line "sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough, I don't know why" I get that tightness in my chest. It just wasn't fair.
(although seriously considering making a goodbye video with that song for them)

ME3 = End of Shepard's story. This has been said from like... when it was announced that it was going to be a trilogy.
As far as I am concerned, I would only be happy with a 'Shep lives' option if Shepard basically retired to some tropical planet where s/he could find some small measure of peace, that we all seek but few of us ever find. (cookie for first person who gets the reference). The story needs closure nothing open-ended like them continuing to clear up mess... that is how the previous 2 games ended.

Agreed and then some. Frankly I think it's owed a lot in part to the fact that Garrus was never meant to be a romance option in the first place, as he was simply your friend and comrade during the events of ME1. That allowed for a much more naturally progressing relationship, that went from comraderie, to an awkward - yet adorable - testing the waters stage, and then finally to a stage where you could tell that they truly loved and trusted one another implicitly. All the while you knew that at the heart of it all, regardless of how the relationship turned out he would always have your back - which made it even more rewarding when it finally culminated in the first game.
It's just damn perfect.
Exactly. For once we didn't have a guy who looked at your character and fell instantly in love with her. It grew from respect, to honest friendship and trust, then moved on to "interspecies awkwardness" (as he himself puts it), and culminated into love. The relationship felt so natural.
I roleplayed my Shep as being very wary of Garrus at first, with him being so hotheaded and her not being used to work with aliens (and frankly, being a bit of a b*tch)... and then he surprised her, proved his loyalty to her and earned her complete respect and trust. And made her reconsider her view of aliens (much like Priestly).
Then comes ME2, and she's dealing with having died and having to work with an organization she loathes (being a sole survivor) and suddenly her friend appears among the darkness like a gigantic beacon of hope, so she relies on him a lot, hanging out in the main battery while he's doing his damn calibrations. Starts to see him in a different light, helped in that regard by Kelly's comment on how cute they would look together as a couple, and says "well why not". Goes for it (while drunk. It amuses me greatly to imagine her hitting on him by accident). Doesn't regret it for a second.
Beginning of ME3, she loves him. He's pretty much the reason why she keeps fighting. That was easy to roleplay; the writing was on my side.
Overall, it was so easy to roleplay her falling in love with him. It felt completely natural.
Wow, that was longer than expected.
Youre so right Karrie.
also, I feel like they picked up at the exact right spot when they meet after Palavan. Unlike with the VS where you would like them to talk about it and its iffy for half the game. With Garrus, there's the handshake then the kiss on the Normandy and they both say they want it to work. The situation is grim enough, I was happy I didnt have to worry about my Shep personal feelings. Instead, they show support immediatly for each other and off they go saving he world together. I didnt expect anything less and I wasnt dissapointed.
I loved not having to wonder if he was with my Shep and jsut concentrate on how much asses we would have to kick. it felt really good <3.

Garrus is by far the best romance Bioware has written so far. In future games, gonna be hard to top that.
I just wish some other romances had been as good...

I appreciate that completly. And it does need a conculsive ending. Just in head cannon I don't think they would settle down for long. But it needs a proper ending. i'm fine with ME3 being the last Shepard one. Just that Shepard needs a proper ending, as do all the crew/ other people we have all become invested in.

Finishing up my paragon run in ME2 with Garrus, can't wait to drag her through to ME3. Is the date better without the interrupt? Yes or no, I want to see it as a seeing virgin.
Personally i prefer without interrupt.
Typically in the garrus romances (2 and 3) the interrupts try to spare him those akward moments of silence or stammering, which are just too adorable to do without

1. If you load a save at the end, it will randomly select a set amount of 20 or so texts.
2. It will not load more at earlier saves, unless you play through the events.
3. Presumably to get 'all' texts, you start a new game [or open an older save] and play through the game. You do not need to save to unlock the text.
For instance, I got this text from Garrus after doing the first romance scene. The conversation wasn't even done yet and it was sent: "Good to be back where I belong. Thanks for the update on cross-species liaisons."
This isn't confirmed 100% or anything, but this is what I've noticed from experimenting with different saves. If someone is looking for romance texts from ME2 characters, or non-squaddies, you'll probably need to replay the part of the game they are in to unlock them. [IF they have them, that is.]
Also, I totally support the donations to the child's play thing.
