I think I just indoctrinated my boyfriend. I was going on and on about what a wonderful character Garrus is and showed him a few dialogues from ME3. He decided that Garrus was now his new role life model.

Am I evil?

On another note I uploaded the first two parts of the romance in French (Reunion + chat at the Citadel) if you want to check it out.

No, you're lucky   My boyfriend found the Garrus romance sweet, but he's not much of a BioWare gamer, so he mostly just humors me when I gush about Garrus.  At least he's patient about the squees.

Personally i prefer without interrupt.
Typically
in the garrus romances (2 and 3) the interrupts try to spare him those
akward moments of silence or stammering, which are just too adorable to
do without [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

Hmm.  I like the following for interrupts:

No interrupt in his ME2 sex scene.
Interrupt in his first romance dialogue aboard the Normandy in ME3.
No interrupt on the date.
Interrupt on the goodbye conversation.  Seriously this one HAS to be done, the choked tears in Shepard's voice are so sweet and heartbreaking.

Also, thank you to the folks with iPads and iPhones for posting the Garrus notes.  I am sitting here at work trying not to squee out loud and grinning like a fool

I've done that to my boyfriend too, Karrie. You can't help it, Garrus seems spread his effect to both males and females.

Also, DAT ACCENT. French NEVER sounded sexier! THANK YOU~

If I ask nicely, will you upload his date scene too?

So I finally get to the Citadel date. And I was Squeeing and giggling like a fool during the whole thing. It was just so awesome! <3

When Garrus asks if Shep "was a one turian knd of woman", I melted. And put it up as a Facebook status update.

Then he gets adorkable on me when he says the vids from Joker didn't cover the "I love you Garrus Vakarian" exchange. I wanted to tell him "That's because you're watching Joker's porn!"

Then not taking the Paragon interrupt. Then the dip and kiss. So worth it.

I've come to realize that Garrrus is a lot smoother than he thinks he is. Like when you talk after reuniting: He goes from being adorkable, not really knowing how human reunions should go to being smooth, noting that Shep was driven wild by his scars, notes that his are fading, and offers to get some new ones.  Nice progression.

Other random thoughts:

Some people were saying you get the date after the Far Rim priority mission. I got it before. Was I early? It might be because I'm doing the all side missions/scan missions I can before I do the priority missions, plus walking around the Normandy.

Did anyone have Dr. Michel in place of Chackwas? Is there any different dialog there, especially since she likes Garrus?

And when does Garrus come up to the room? Since the ME3 system lacks descriptors like which room you're in on the Normandy, I have to remember the date and time of saves I like to keep.

Dont worry you'll get your cabin scene :P

Not gonna spoil it for you but it gives a nice vibe of them being a 'real couple' more then a 'stress release exercise'.

You get the date after you check your email; the email is there from Garrus before the Far Rim mission if you do sidequests between the Citadel and the Far Rim.

I had Chakwas, but if you bring Tali and Garrus with you aboard the geth dreadnought, Tali teases Garrus about how Michel got him some turian chocolate, then tells Shep she should watch her back :P  It's obviously all in good fun, though, and I don't think Michel ever makes a move on Garrus.

Garrus comes up to the room just before the endgame.  You'll know, because there will be big warning signs in your quest log and Hackett's dialogue flagging the endgame quest.

You're very welcome. I like showing off anyway. :D

Oh I will. This is my second playthrough though, so I'll have to get there first.

I'll upload the one without the paragon interrupt since it seems to be a favorite. :)

Yup I have same view on the interupts... you miss out on a cuddle on the date at the end of it, but I love Shep's laugh in the non-interupt version.

Also I'll add my thanks to the people that uploaded them notes, I got the App today only to find out it don't work on my older version of iPhone (was thinking of upgrading it anyway, now I got a reason lol).

Edit: Just read previous posts that answered my other question :)

This is seriously my favorite thing about the Garrusmance--more than the dip kiss, more than the adorkable, it's that Garrus can always make Shepard laugh.  Even when the galaxy is falling apart around them, he always brings a smile to her face.

Well, yea, I know that Mass Effect was a planned trilogy. But I think that if fans would be loud enough and many enough maybe, MAYBE they would consider ME4. But right now it doesn't matter really. What's really matter is to get DLC for endings ;)

Date with Garrus is fantastic :D I was replaying it like ten times :D and I love cabin time ;D

Anyway, Garrus is the one and only for me. And was for a couple of years. But today I started watching some vids, replaying some saves and damn... I am falling for another alien with a sexy voice. Damn you with those purring voices 0.o But Garrus is still Garrus :D And he is first on the list ;)
(I can't bring myself to play ME3 again because of the ending ;( )

There's something about the way he walks down the cabin stairs in the final love scene that had me melting...hmm, loving his new darker suit =D

Did anyone else find the Garrus romance/relationship contributing to their Shep's character development? He was the catalyst that changed my Shep from a frigid, distant perfectionist to a genuinely loving and compassionate person in the four years they knew each other. Going back to playing ME1 is so strange; she's such a different person because she met and loved him.

Totally. My Shep was cold as ice before he came along. Mean and pretty close-minded, even. To him as well. In ME1 no matter how many times you treat him like crap he still treats you with respect. I love that.
I think the shift happened when she helped him with the Dr Saleon's quest. Furthermore with ME2 when he was basically the only person she trusted on the Normandy - aside from Joker, who sucks at comforting, and Tali who came along later.

I wish they would make one of these with Garrus' armor. Then I might actually want to spend $90 on a sweatshirt.

Mmyep, my Shep was pretty reserved and a little cold (but not exactly mean, she was a paragon) at the start of ME1. Then her death, plus Garrus, plus a number of other things made her loosen up a lot. She began to show the fire that was inside her instead of keeping it bottled up inside. It's nice to RP character development for Shepard.

It's so cool to see her change across three games and to see Garrus grow with her.  I just picked up Garrus in ME1 and was thinking, "You don't know it yet, Shep, but that turian C-Sec officer is going to be your sun and stars." <3

I just came back from the Indoctrination theory thread @____________@

If it's true, It'll make for one interesting ending. And an opening to let Shep and Garrus have those kids *crosses fingers*

My FemShep was always more of a diplomat (she's an infiltrator). so Garrus was the one to make her understand that its ok to make hard choices for the greater good and that you cant save everyone. Now that I think of it my ME1Shepard would have broken if she had been thrown into ME3. Garrus really made her stronger. and vise-versa.

I love roleplaying her being a bit b*tchy to him in ME1 for that very reason. <3

:wub: The way he walked in was amazing and his new casual suit is beautiful. I wish he wore that ALL the time on the Normandy.

BTW, finally finished the game last night. Luckily since I knew the endings I was prepared which really helped....I can only imagine what my reaction would've been if I didn't know. Also the way it ends seriously makes me think there is going to be DLC afterward if your Shep lives. And even if Shep doesn't live, maybe it will be similar to DA: Awakening in the sense that you'll play as someone else (a random Alliance marine?) and go save the Normandy....Not sure if they would do that but the ending I got really made me think there is going to be DLC in the aftermath of Shep's decision.

some SPOILERS ahead - tips on keeping Shep alive

So my Shep lived - My EMS was 7000+ and my Galactic readiness was 99/100%. I am pretty sure to get the Galactic readiness that high you have to play MP. For EMS, it needs to be above 5000 for Shep to live but I am not sure about the galactic readiness. I think it needs to be above 60-70%. I play on XBL and I am willing to help any players on MP to get your galactic readiness high. :)
