Reading this thread, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who teared when Shepard said goodbye to Garrus.

Holy Hell that was depressing, you just know it wasn't going to end well. :crying:
And well, it didn't with that ending...

I just wanted to stop in and say how much I adore the Garrus romance in ME3. It's my favorite romance to date in any Bioware game. I really appreciate the way the writers made you feel that you were watching an established couple. There was true intimacy there (and I don't mean physical, although that was certainly there, too.) I love the way Garrus supports Shepard. I love his humor and his sincerity. I love the fact that they were friends first. Even before the romance, I always felt that Garrus was Shep's best friend.

I really liked Kaidan in ME1 but the writers lost me a bit with how unreasonable he becomes in ME2 and even at the beginning of ME3, he's still stubborn. Comparatively, with Garrus it's just so easy. It just seems so completely natural.

ME3 has been such an emotional rollercoaster for me. Garrus has been the light at the end of the tunnel. Playing my second playthrough with him has been such a joy and such a comfort. I know it sounds remarkably silly but--I'm really glad to have him there!! :)

Oh and those app messages are completely wonderful, sweet, and so him. Thanks for posting them. I wish I had an IPhone!

I agree it is sad that there is so much focus on the endings when the rest of the game was just that great. I mean come on....watching a thresher maw take out a reaper *boooooyeah!*

Or Mordin....*sniff* *bawl*

Or the stupid Quarians *had it coming, ungrateful stubborn idiots*, but Poor Talli

Or helping to take out a reaper essentially 1 on 1 ..... and ON FOOT?

Or Aria watching over you if you drink enough to pass out at Purgatory *sweet*

Garrus.....enough said.....(Strange aside, I wonder what Turians smell like, for some reason I'm thinking anise)

TIM......man I wish Shep could have found him sooner.....

The environments, the music, the voice acting....the voice acting.....

The epic run-up to the end and the feel of tension building.....Why, as the galaxy is collapsing, does it seem like I'm getting more and more of those little side quests for people????? I have reapers to kill people!!!!

And just a weird thing I keep noticing.....there is a Turian with red face paint outside the entrance to Purgatory, who always follows Shepard around.....and if she stands still he comes up and stands right next to her or behind her, and stares at her.....creepy Turian stalker!

My husband laughed at me since I was yelling at the screen "leave me alone already!"

Is there some quest or something that you're supposed to get from that guy?

Hello, everyone. Missed this thread.

Finished ME3 last night. Won't delve into my opinion about the ending here, but I cried like a baby when Shepard said goodbye to Garrus. I had to pause the game and take like a break.

Thank you

Haha with the mission to rescue the Primarch I was like... "Wait.. you want to send me to a whole PLANET of Turians ....:O"

Pretty sure my Shep totally jumped Garrus after that mission!

Smoked pine needles and mesquite? Hmm.....Weekes must not have been camping and around smoking pine needles much.....and mesquite makes me think of week old BBQ.

Poor Garrus.

I was listening to the two C-Sec officers banter. And that Turian walked up behind my Shepard and boxed her in. AND HE WOULDN'T MOVE. I was trapped! I had to reload from an earlier save!

My bet is he's a Reaper agent.

Hahahahaha!

Now I'm thinking, no wonder Garrus has to ask if Shepard was ready to be a one turian kinda woman....

The Red Faced Turian is standing next to my Shep right now, and they both have their hands on each other butts, and if she moves, his head follows her, unrelenting stare! And when sheshifts her weight and it looks like she places her head on his shoulder, he leans his head over to rest it on the top of hers......he starts following the minute she gets off the elevator or walks out of Purgatory....

Glad I'm not the only one he's stalking!

Maybe Shepard has a secret pheromone that attracts Turians. :bandit:

Hey all in Garrus land. Seeing all this talk of eternal love and bonds of romance I thought a pic should be the best thing for this. Warning that you will probably need tissues for this. It's best enlarged cause it is an animation.

It says a lot about their relationship and just how rght it is.

GODDAMNIT no more sad! FFFFFFFFFFFF-

Welcome back to the club

I dont remember anyone here who said they didnt cry at the end. and quite frankly I would quesiton their sanity if they dont. the dialogue itself and both VAs acting the heck out of it... Nothing prepares you really for the ending but at least they got the relationship perfect.

I know. Why do I get the feeling that Garrus was Jennifer Hale's favorite romance?

I watched the one with Kaidan on YouTube, and honestly I think Kaidan fans got screwed compared to the romance with our favorite Turian. You have one conversation with Kaidan (which doesn't change if you romanced him or not), lunch on the Citadel and as far as I could tell that was it until the romance scene (a scene in which Shep seems a little disconnected from Kaidan, and not wanting to be with him). Garrus just has so much more, the first conversation when he comes on board, the conversation in the docks, when he says he needs Shep, illegal skeet shooting on the Citadel, the first conversation about "ruthless calculus", the second one where he hugs Shep when she's feeling down, the romance scene and then the final conversation.

Ladies & gents, we got the best romance in the game, I think. Posted Image

Also jokes about calibrations = hilarious. Posted Image

Nope. She likes Liara best.

I agree though, we got the best one. Precisely because we had no personal issues to deal with such as mistrust (I'm so bored with my Kaidanite playthrough, I don't think I'll ever bother finishing it).

Anyone have a good screencap of ME3 Garrus? >w> I can't seem to find one....

(And to the above, I think that Garrus and Liara are the quality romances of the game, Tali doesn't have the beauty in her romance that she did in 2)

So was I and I did give it up (went back to my Garrus Shep, whose my favorite Shep anyway). Kaidan never talks to you and if he does it's nothing different from when you didn't romance him. Am seriously considering having my FemShep ditch Kaidan after ME2 Horizon bit and romance Liara. Posted Image

A good shot of his face/head would be perfect. O: <3
