Hi again, after lots of months avoiding spoilers in the forums!

I finished ME3 yesterday and I spent the whole day crying, I can't believe it. I loved every single minute with Garrus in this game, it was such a perfect story. But I cannot stand the fact that it doesn't matter if Shepard dies or not, they will never see each other again. I can't get over that, it breaks my heart. After all, he ordered her to come back alive :(((

So many tears, sooo many...

You don't know they won't see each other again (unless you didn't get the ending where Shepard is alive).

I'm sure we'll all agree that Shepard will never stop looking for Garrus and he will never stop looking for her. The odds of them finding each other are astronomically small but that isn't the same as impossible. Have faith, stay strong :)

Hell, given the impossible odds of the events of the endings, I'd say their reunion is more than likely.

Could I just ask...How do you actually get the ending where Shepard lives? Is it down to galactic readiness? And I'd really love a DLC where Shepard (a living Shepard that is) seeks to find out the Normandy and really get closure on what happened to her friends/lover. I just don't think it's fair that after all she's been through Shepard loses everyone she loves and that's just it, no way to get them back. I WILL NOT ACCEPT IT I TELL YOU!

Anyway, so inspirwed by this thread was I that I've gone back to writing (as I've did creative writing as a degree and masters degree), and shall hopefully have the prologue to a lovely, angsty, and suitably romantic Shepard/Garrus fic posted soon :D

I got it by picking Destroy with over 4000 effective military strength (4299 if I remember correctly)

That "I WILL NOT ACCEPT IT" mentality is pretty much how my Shepard sees it. Not accepting the possiblity of defeat allowed her to accomplish everything she did (but did also lead to a major crisis of confidence after Thessia).

I don't need DLC for it as I know that my Shepard will do it. I don't need to see her do it in game as my imagination has already decided what it will look like. To see it in game would invalidate my own personal take on how it happens and how the characters react.

I picked destroy. As much as my shep didn't want to sacrifice EDI and the geth, as Garrus says, it all comes down to the ruthless calculus of war. Thousands, maybe even millions of synthetics die so billions, possibly trillions of organics can live.

Nah, I'm a man and wouldn't be bothered by a GF doing that. I know that I couldn't stack up to Garrus so there'd be no point in feeling jealous or anything

Till that awkward moment when you call out "Garrus" at the "wrong" time?

(lol. I kid. I've done some loud "squeels" of joy and it's funny how my bf reacts.)

Take it as a compliment that you're doing well enough to be imagined as a game character who is pretty much the definition of awesome :)

Oh dear, I was so close too! At about 3500...pft, figures :?

Well, I'm with you on that. I'm completely certain that my Shepard will go forth into the world, not ever resting until she finds that planet and her and Garrus have a suitably cute/romantic/beautiful reunion scene where she states that beating the Reaper's wasn't enough, that she needed Garrus to feel complete, just like he needed her, and then as they have a Turian/human head-bumpy kiss Joker and other hecklers will make amusing but light-hearted jibes from the side-lines, secretly bowled over by this beautiful moment. Yes. That's how it happens to me

But I think the option of a DLc would be nice, just have a bit more closure for the characters...

There's a renegade option in the love scene? Really?

Did any one else feel the like you were getting ninja romanced at times? Like after the Citadel coup, I go up to my room, trying to mourn for my friend Thane, and here come two flings(And Vega, but I didn't mind his and it was cool)!

I was partically annoyed with Samatha, because her two options, the way they were worded, almosted made it seem like you would have the fling no matter what. And the reporter, ugh. I'd much rather had Garrus come up and talk about Thane and the attempted coup, even with no romantic overtones. Or even the VS, because the coup and Udina's betrayal directly impacted them. The flings was such a mood whiplash.

But I am loving James and Garrus chats in the mess hall. And Joker and Garrus. Even Liara and Garrus had me rolling.

(Paraphrasing)
Liara: Is it true you killed three people with one bullet?
Garrus: Actually it was two people. Third one had a heart aattack. That wouldn't be fair.

But was he fleeing the battle or fleeing the energy from the Catalyst? He might have figured that if it kills reapers it might also kill EDI and was therefore trying to save her. Could we really hold that against him?

Not an renegade interrupt, if that's what you're asking, just a renegade answer. Shep says "I'm fine" instead of confessing her anxiety, basically.

YES. I got hit on three times right after losing Thane. Samantha, James (sorta) and... Diana Allers  to this day I still don't understand the purpose of her character.

Samantha's adorable, but I'm playing a straight Shep.
And I like James but come on... didn't you notice there's a turian in my bed? Geez.

He was clearly in a jump between two relays. What was he doing anywhere near the Charon relay while the battle was still raging on Earth? What was the point? The relays were litterally blowing up. I would have fled the relays, not jumped into them.

And if he was indeed trying to save EDI, I REALLY doubt Shep's crew would have let him abandon Shepard and, you know... the ultimate battle.

Completely OOC. And yeah, I do hold that against him, actually.

They were using the Vulture tactic. Wait until you're vulnerable then swoop in.

I can remember a bit where James is getting his N7 tattoo and my Shepard asked him (obviously jokingly in my mind) if he's ever going to make good on all his flirting. His stuttering attempt at a reply was hilarious.

Diana Allers only use was giving options for boosting war assets through the replies in her interviews. If she didn't do that I would have introduced her to the airlock.
