maybe I should rephrase that ^_^ I agree that garrus became attracted to femshep over time but some people thought he could never see her "like that" if that makes sense.

Right! Yeah it makes sense.
Well there has to be *some* kind of attraction anyway. They're having sex. Even if that attraction first mostly relies on personality and respect, it's there.

But the "beautiful" thing... it's just so damn sweet. He's seeing a woman that he respects, and eventually loves, and through that love he starts to think she's beautiful.
Alien, but beautiful.

EvelinShepard wrote...

My Shep was originally terrified of Turians xD Garrus helped her over come it, and eventually love turians.

Also Garrus totally braids Shep's hair for her.

In my headcanon my Shep gets punched by the first Turian she ever meets. :bandit:

I think at one point in ME2 he says he doesn't "have a fetish for humans". I still think this is true. He just has a Shepard fetish and, in my headcanon, he came to appeciate her body over time.

To be fair, everyone and their hanar half-cousin once removed seems to have a Shepard fetish :P  Garrus's just doesn't really develop until they enter into a relationship.

Actually, the quarians apparently have hair, seeing as Tali's face was a Photoshopped stock image of a very human girl.

Ah, yes, I forgot about that.  My bad.

I don't think he thought she was beautiful right away. I think it grew with the relationship. I mean, look how alien humans look to turians! It must have taken a little time.
But I'm certain he means it, and that makes me even happier.

Agreed.  Shep and Garrus's relationship probably doesn't start out as a physical attraction thing, but they can definitely grow to find each other attractive.

I like to think that Garrus is fascinated with her hair.  After all, no other species has it.

This sounds pretty much like it to me.

I had a question...so during the first play through I checked out the Sirta computer in the hospital on the Citadel and they had some kind of bottled alcohol for sale, which I bought. Then, when I visited Kaidan it appeared that my Shepard gave it to him.

Well, on my second play through, and maybe I seriously just missed it the first time or didn't go to the Sirta computer at the right time, but there were at least 6 different items for sale, including flowers and a box of dextro-chocolates. It looked to me like gifts for party members, but I haven't seen or read anything in regards to giving those things to your companions during the game. I find this very perplexing. You can buy them so they must have some purpose?

I bought books of poetry for Ash and gave them to her, so there must be some kind of gift system, but it seems only to apply to Ash and Kaidan?

Didn't notice the Dextro-choccies. Bought Ashley the Tennyson poetry book as I'd remembered (somehow) that her favourite poem was by Tennyson. Forgot to get Thane anything, if I could give him something that is.

Well that's weird because there were many other things that clearly were intended for the other companions. I spent an inordinate amount of credits on them....

I know Dr. Michel gets turian chocolate for Garrus.  Maybe if Shep buys them that conversation doesn't trigger or triggers differently, though I thought it was hilarious:lol:

I was thinking something similar. It would be nice if there was actually a cut scene for giving those items to them though, seeing as you do for both Kaidan and Ashley.

And dextro-chocolates aren't cheap <_<. I guess I'd just like a little something to make it feel slightly more justifiable when I could've been buying valuable upgrades rather than gifts that are never really utilized in the game.

I think Garrus would consider an extended barrel for his Sniper Rifle just as romantic a gift as chocolates.

And he'd have a funny quip when you give it to him.
"What's this? You didn't think my gun was big enough already?"

OMG! I would DIE if Brandon Keener said that! :o

Edit: @Hyrule_Gal : Jack does when you save her at Grissom Academy.

Jack. I don't know what she says in English, but in French she says "Go f*ck yourself, Garrus. Wait, you got Shepard for that."

I'm not entirely certain the chocolates wouldn't be a gift for Tali actually. I thought it curious.

I don't know. It must hurt.

Then again maybe she's into those things. Didn't roleplay her that far. :P

I roleplayed it more as a "turian mark of 'MINE' " more than a fetish thingy. :P

LOL.  I think no matter how gentle Garrus is, there's always gonna be some...ah...chafing :D  But something tells me Shepard doesn't mind that.

Well I've all finished here now.

Say what you want about ME3, the writing for the party members has really improved. Garrus was the loveable quirky hotshot alien in ME1, and as awesome as that was, he just feels so very real in ME3. The conversations, the locations, the actions and the tone of the moments. One of the best parts of the game.

Heh, she knows what she signed for. So to speak.

EDIT: TOP? Ok, I'll bite. Have a Victus.
