Also I think I've found the ONLY other turian I've seen with Garrus' tattoo

Which makes me squee all sorts of squee. But!

I'm starting to think that the colony markings have evolved into a territory/where you grew up type thing as well since the Council, Spartarus and Victus all seem to share a similar marking and they're all supposed to be from Palavan too.

Ah well. Still endeavoring to take as many pictures of turian tattoos as possible... :D

I'm EXTREMELY sure that there's a turian on the Pavalen mission you see with these markings. When I saw him I was like 'HOLY CRAP, ANOTHER TURIAN WITH GARRUS MARKINGS!'.

Yea.  I need to check all my new turian marking pictures and update the Turian Tattoo database. :D

I tried it both ways, where he suicides and where you shoot him.  Shooting him felt infinitely more satisfying.  Stupid buttmunch.  I will never forgive him for what he's done.

So I'm looking over the ME3 wishlist on the OP.  Spirits, we're lucky.

ME3 Wishlist:

1) Make the Garrus Romance NOT a fling, but an actual relationship that carries over into ME3: CHECK
2) Have Garrus return as a full-on squad-member.  Don't write him out/sideline him as a cameo: CHECK
3) More inter-squad interactions and more reactions of NPC's to the romance: Kinda.  We did have a lot more inter-squad interactions and a few lines for the romance.
4) Let us meet with Garrus' father/family: Nope.  Boo.
5) Give Garrus (and other alien/"non-leading character romances") more prominent roles in the main story, such as in cut-scenes where appropriate: CHECK.  All the squaddies now have approriate cutscene dialogue.
6)When you romance a squadmate, have their ingame behaviors change slightly when interacting with Shepard: CHECK (or at least I think so, I haven't played him unromanced for comparison).
7) Give Garrus (and other squadmates) more lines!  CHECK
8) Let us visit Garrus' old stomping ground, Palaven. CHECK :crying:
9) Let us be able to choose and develop deep relationships with the characters (and let them be uniquely developed, no matter if it's as a friendship, a romance, or a bromance) CHECK

Given how some of the other romances pan out, I am so grateful for Garrus.

It does feel like we've hit some gold this time around (tho I prefer to consider it over the course of the 3 games, cause the charcter arc is a strong point)

About the last point, I know afew fans were hoping for a Maleshep romance and some of the new players might have wanted to geta romance also. But thats nitpicking. specially compared to what some of the other romances got. So ill shut up.

Garrus yay! (couldnt resist)

Ah yes, I did forget about the MaleShep romance.  But as for new players, I kinda think it makes sense for Garrus to only be romanceable in ME3 if he was romanced in ME2 given some of his insecurities about the interspecies thing and Shepard's feelings.  It takes time to sort those things out.

Im personally in favor of the full romance arc as it is (college to friend to lover). It wouldnt make as much sense if not. I was mearly pointing out because theres a tread about how femshep didnt get a new availible male LI for ME3 if they virmired Kaidan, etc, etc.Making Vega availible would have solve that problem.

I say go back to ME2 and get some garrus attention ^_^

Patrick Weekes was Garrus's writer for ME1 & 2, so I'd be surprised if that's changed. I remember his twitter post on what Garrus smells like.... <3

If he did write Garrus for ME3, you can't deny that he delivered.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I did ping Patrick on twitter. I guess I wasn't the only one that asked as he had this to say:

For those who have asked, John Dombrow, awesome writer of ME2: Overlord and Genophage campaign, wrote Garrus this time. :)

He also wrote Javik as well as the missions for Sur'Kesh, Curing the Genophage, and Thessia.

Tell me about it.  Still, I'm happy that both he and Weekes gave us a fantastic character and romance arc.

I loved that tweet about Garrus smelling like mesquite.  I've always thought turians run hotter than humans (just my headcanon) so I think my Shep compares him to a barbeque when she's feeling silly and snuggly ^_^

I just wanted to stop in and say how much I adore the Garrus romance in ME3. It's my favorite romance to date in any Bioware game. I really appreciate the way the writers made you feel that you were watching an established couple. There was true intimacy there (and I don't mean physical, although that was certainly there, too.) I love the way Garrus supports Shepard. I love his humor and his sincerity. I love the fact that they were friends first. Even before the romance, I always felt that Garrus was Shep's best friend.

I really liked Kaidan in ME1 but the writers lost me a bit with how unreasonable he becomes in ME2 and even at the beginning of ME3, he's still stubborn. Comparatively, with Garrus it's just so easy. It just seems so completely natural.

ME3 has been such an emotional rollercoaster for me. Garrus has been the light at the end of the tunnel. Playing my second playthrough with him has been such a joy and such a comfort. I know it sounds remarkably silly but--I'm really glad to have him there!! :)

Oh and those app messages are completely wonderful, sweet, and so him. Thanks for posting them. I wish I had an IPhone!

I agree :) The romance was wonderful ^^

Oops, got distracted by eating pie. Here you go. Lol this is a terrible drawing, I am sorry. Man, Garrus' new armor is so... bulky, and hard to draw. I think I really prefer his old armor.

Victus was an AMAZING character in my opinion. Honestly, when my Shepard went 'My thoughts are with Palaven' and he went 'And mine with Earth', I was honestly like 'You. Me. My Cabin. NOW.'

I clearly have a turian fetish.

Well this makes sense. Overlord was my most favourite mission from ME2; just so epic and with such a tragic twist in the end. You genuinly feel for David and his ordeal. The end of that was definitely  a bit of a tear-jerker, at least the nearest one on the scale compared to some ME3 moments...

And those elements of ME3 were certainly high-points for me...My boyfriend, bless him, even teared up at the conclusion of the Genophage story, when Wrex has his big stirring speech, and Garrus and Javik certainly have some of the most witty, clever, and emotionally affecting dialogue throughout the whole game.

It's just sad really that the ending sort of negates all of that really...:(

Yes we were very luck with our romance. I feel so sorry for Jacob/ Thane romancers and anyone with an LI outside the Normandy.

Just a shame we never thought to add - have a proper ending to the list!

I really loved the increase in Squad member interaction with each other on the Normandy. Some of Garrus' conversations with other people were hilarious!

Also, did anyone choose Dr. Michel over Dr Chakwas? If so were there any Garrus moments with her?

I think it's sad because most of us just expected a great, epic ending that would wrap everything up...I mean, that's what Bioware promised and Bioware would obviously neveeeeerrrr lie <_< There's just so many things hanging that Bioware didn't think to wrap up, so I'm just eternally glad that the path to the ending for Garrusmancers was so amazing.

Ooo, there's an option to pick Dr. Michel over Chakwas? I loved the Turian chocolate discussion with Tali...amazing dialogue!

@LilyasAvalon: Don't worry, you're not alone in having a Turian fetish. Whenever I see a Turian being killed my Shep pulls out the Widow sniper rifle and watches her enemies explode from one bullet.

Project Overlord was the first time I had ever cried at a video game. Now whenever I even here the music I cry. I have Aspergers so I think it really struck a chord in me when I see David who is autistic.

Also I don't know about anyone else but personally my Shep can dance. My excuse as why she can't when given the chance is because she's wearing armor and carrying five guns. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;>>

I love how tali says "watch yourself shepard" while garrus is standing there not understanding the problem ^_^ If I could have had ONE more character to comment on the relationship I would have chosen wrex. I was hoping he would poke fun at garrus at one point about it but he doesn't *sigh* Also expected joker and ash to mention it. besides the ending these were my nitpicks

1.No female turians (I honest to god thought that interview was making fun and that they really were going to design at least one female turian in ME3) we got a female salarian and krogan...the hell

2. A slightly unclothed garrus , damn ^_^ turians have to be so secretive about their bodies grrr

3. Again more reactions to the romance

that was it really which showed they did everything else right

I think our imaginations are better than anything Bioware could come up with, frankly ;)
