@Bluumberry I wasn't on the forums when it happened but I believe fans told them via BSN and possibly other sites as well and maybe even in letters that they wanted Garrus as an LI. Same thing happened with Tali. Casey Hudson has acknowledged this too by saying he never thought anyone would be interested in Garrus and Tali but after the fan feedback they decided to give it to their fans. Which is also one of the reasons why Tali and Garrus can get some hate.....some think they are purely fan service. Which they are to a certain extent but it's good fan service. Very good.

The fact that Garrus and Tali were made as LI is pretty much the only thing that's giving me hope right now. Bioware *does* listen to us. Hanging out in the spoilers forum is painful. People swearing and yelling that BW are a bunch of greedy **** who are only after our money and don't care about our shattered hearts...

I like it better here. It's friendly. You guys are awesome.

Exactly. Stale is the word I would use lol. Though I will say what happens to Jacob is extremely crappy. And I think the alien LIs have better romances in ME2/ME3.....WELL except for Thane's in ME3.....

Anyway, I think Garrus and Tali as LIs is a great example and proof to a certain extent that they do listen to their fans and value our feedback.

@Karrie  Don't worry about the money! Not everyone can and some people don't want to. We all do what we can in different ways. Just by making one post that you don't like the ending is something. It all adds up.

But the game just came out in Asia and they've said they don't want to comment on the ending until it has been released everywhere. Also they want more people to beat the game before they speak out. So I am thinking within the next week or two, they will comment.

It's not over until they say it's over. That hasn't happened yet. And this may sound silly....but if I gave up I honestly feel like I am giving up on my Shep, Garrus, and the rest of the crew. And I am not doing that until Bioware directly tells the fans that there will be no DLC ending. They are listening to our feedback, they want to know. That is how we got Garrus in the first place....because we fought for him! And this is what we should do for the DLC ending. And there are certainly a lot more people with us on this.

You know, I don't even mind if Shepard really is dead, just give me a nice little bit of Garrus and her meeting up at the bar in the afterlife. I'm an athiest, and I still want that SO BAD. I'm just happy I didn't get the ending with my people's bodies around me after Harbinger blasts us. I guess if your EMS is high enough, you find Scotty and he beams them up just in time or something?

Pretty much. The only time I can remember Garrus being angry (and I mean REALLY angry) was when he was talking about Sidonis.

Even then, it was a focused anger. Which is a hell of a lot scarier if you have the misfortune of being the one it's focused on, I imagine

You know, when I got to the end of the game, and Garrus and Javik walked off the Normandy I was PO'd......actually, I was *am* PO'd about the last 5 min of the game or so.....

I started arguing with my husband, that based on the way it ended, how it was so disjointed from the ME universe and lore, that my Shepard had just been on Earth in her armor and was now on the Citadel in her Normandy casual clothes.....that there HAD to be something else going on....that THIS couldn't be the real ending of the game...then I came online and saw all the other people thinking the same thing.....

Then I looked up what the 'best' ending was supposedly.....and thought "Yep, NO WAY was that the real end."

Then I started talking at my husband how it would be a brilliant move by Bioware to do something like this....make us think this is the end, make us PICK if we were indoctrinated or not before the real ending started.....

But then I had to think, if it was true, then it was executed HORRIBLY. The game should have released worldwide on the same day (or within a day or two of each other) and then with an ANN announcement within a week, (no more than 2) of the game release, it should be requested that a secret data-pack transmission was incoming we downloaded it, and whallah! it's the real ending DLC of what happens to Shepard, the United Galaxy Army, the reapers, and the galaxy in the future.....

And if this was true, with the fan rage over the endings, there should have been cryptic remarks from Bioware, or Bioware posing as ANN reporters stating something about 'We have new intel coming in, please check back soon."

I do feel that if they release ending DLC it won't be because it was already planned as a ballsy marketing and gaming moment, but instead will be rushed to press to try to counteract all the negative fan-press.


And I'm so upset at the ending of the series, that I may never buy any DLC for this game....it's pointless.

But I will replay the game up through the 'get garrus' moment at the least. And to the final bedroom date at the most. (Or ME2, where you meet Archangel and he's garrus.....I squee just thinking about that scene)

Poor Jasper Shepard won't be making it out of ME1 I think.

I think I've only found one or two people that hate Garrus. I don't think it has anything to do with his character though. I think it's because he's fanservice. Most players LOVE Garrus especially since ME3. Some people complain that he is an LI....but I honestly think they might be a little jealous since Garrus is now (in my opinion) the best o/s romance. And he has been a squad mate in every game.

As for Tali, she gets a lot of hate actually. Some people just don't like her personality and others don't like that she is fanservice. But I still think a lot of people like her....otherwise she would've never been an LI. Sometimes when you're one of the most popular characters/LIs people will push their hate and angry toward that character. And again, she is a squad mate throughout the entire series unlike every other character except Garrus.

Oh no, I am sure they complain about Kaidan as well. A lot of players don't like the VS....especially Kaidan.

Oh no, I am sure they complain about Kaidan as well. A lot of players don't like the VS....especially Kaidan.

Which is why nobody complained that there wasn't a way to save both of them

Well to me it boggles the mind how people could hate team dextro. I mean even if it is fanservice who cares? They don't have to romance them. I love both Garrus and Tali, if I ever get the urge to play a male Shep she'd be the one I'd romance. Her drunk is hilarious. Btw does anyone have a photo of what she really looks like? I've heard it was from some photoshopped image.
