I've played the Garrus and Kaidan romance at this point, and while I can see the appeal of Kaidan's romance, the Garrus romance just hit all my buttons. He was a partner, had trust and faith in you. He could be your rock, just as you were his. As long as YOU thought what you were doing was right, he had enough trust to back you.

So yea... Garrus. Hands down. Favorite romance.

Well, I'm manning up and starting the fanfic smut machine again, so that'll be interesting.  And at worst, the result will be much worse than funny XD  I'll let you guys know how things are progressing on that front, we writers are always attention ****s 

As for a fanfic list, I know Eradyn used to maintain the one that's linked on the OP, but it's probably very out of date by now.  It does, however, have a lot of good older Garrus/Shep stuff if you guys wanna check it out.

Some questions (for this thingy I'm writing). Did it say where Garrus' family escaped to after getting off Palaven? And his sister's name is Solona and she was hurt (leg broken?), right?

It does not say where they escaped to, just that they're safely offworld and yes, Solona was injured.

Whew. Reading some of the previous pages in the thread made me calm down a little... no other game, especially no other BW romance had me by my heartstrings.

The holding hands when they meet on Menae...
The citadel date... I admit that I let my shep took the shot. Hearing her chuckle afterwards was a relief after all what happened up to this point. And I did not like the implication of "But you are good at...other things."

That was also the point where my Shep was still slacking off in her N7 hoodie. It looked so darn comfy... and soothing. By the end on the game however, it was replaced by the blue uniform. Showed off her supportive hips better anyway.

Wonder if playing through a second time would be a good idea at all... considering how much the whole game tore me up. Then again... Garrus...

When I figure out how to used gibbed to edit the hair models I'll attempt another playthrough.. But might stop after killing Lei ;A; don't know if I can take that goodbye again

I actually liked the "I know there are other things you're good at" line, I thought it was adorable.  And I'm pretty sure they don't make it off the top of the Presidium for a while.

LOL.  My best friend is terrified of heights, and she thought Garrus was dipkissing Shep over the precipice   That's one way to get the blood pounding, I suppose.

Uh guys. I just found out why you never see squaddies bodies after Shep wakes up after the beam (unless you have super low war assets). They don't actually come with you... They are stuck there.

Haha, that's my screencap from tumblr. Actually, I noticed they do follow you... after a while. Only after I had unloaded the entirety of my full Black Widow onto Harbinger out of frustration. If you use that rifle, you know it takes a good while, haha.


Also, Garrus apparently had enough time to change back into his default armor during the Normandy's escape. Sigh. Lol.

I just watched the tali romance on youtube...I just realized gar never got his own "mission" if that makes sense. As in a mission where he HAD to be on the squad. Tali did twice which is why she got a lot of romantic dialogue banter during them (their flirting on the geth ship was cute). Liara got thessia...I guess I expected a paleven related mission or something turian related?

During production I think it was said that we were supposed to be able to visit Palaven at some point, future DLC maybe?

I was thinking about this earlier, for some reason -- do you guys think Garrus would have told his family about Shepard? Like after the events of ME2 and before ME3, or maybe he had another chance to talk to them during the events of 3. I suppose I never thought about it before that his family would probably oppose a cross-species "liaison". Particularly his father, I'd say. Or perhaps they know exactly who Shepard is, considering it seems like the whole galaxy knows her name, and they would respect her military background and whatnot, since the Turian meritocracy revolves around military service.

I'm blindly desperate for an ME4 to continue the story, haha, I would love to see his family's reaction to Shepard.

Since his mother seems to have died in between ME2 and 3, I like to think that he at least got the chance to tell her about Shepard, and that she would want her son to be happy, regardless of any situational difficulties or his father's disapproval.

He clearly talked about shepard and the collectors with his father at least... but at the start of ME3 even Garrus didn't seem confident in what he and shepard were, so I'm inclined to think he wouldn't really give a lot of specifics.
Maybe along the lines of, there's a woman i care about and i think we have a shot at something.

I don't think he would. He barely ever mentions his family to Shep, so I doubt he'd be telling his family about her.
