Why make so much girl on girl action availible and not let us romance Vega? It simply should have been more balanced.

I found Vega cute. And all the flirting! Obviously, my main Shep (Adrian) was already committed to Garrus but I was making another one who wasn't going to romance anyone ever and I was saving her for Joker or Vega. <_<

That or they want him unattached for an upcoming title.... bah

And yes the general strategy is to disregard the 2190 space edition of gilligans isle cutscene.

Well, before ME3 came out I figured he would be the gay or bisexual choice for Shep. I was very surprised to find it was Kaidan (not that I disapprove, just always thought of him as straight personally).

I wondered that too, because I was muy sad he wasn't an option.

Depending on whether or not my heart heals enough to ever play through the ME games again (hoping for that DLC that fixes everything), I'll be making a blonde ren Shepard that has a weakness for turians named Garrus. He was pretty epic in 3. 

Oh, and I chose to miss the shot.

The fact that it was just some harmless flirtation between Vega and my FemShep was all fine for me, since she was romancing Garrus . I believe garrus would probably find it mildly amusing and when he realize its harmless, I can always see him poking fun at it to Vega ('you'll need more then that to impress Shepard') or to Shepard ('Shall I call you Lola also?').

Working on my fic, Kasumi's loyalty mission (nowhere there yet, but it was in my head so I'm writing it) in which Garrus and several others accompany Shep and Kasumi.

Shep to Garrus - "God dammit Vakarian, get your f*ucking hands into my dress. Now."

I thought the flirting was adorable, but it was one of the few areas in which the autodialogue didn't fit my Shep.  She's much, MUCH better than she was in ME1, but she's still pretty reserved and professional.  I didn't let him call her Lola.
