I'm sure the armor came off after the fade to black 

I actually really like how turians look without their armor in the concept art.  They're all lean and strong and ferocious-looking, and surprisingly elegant.

I blushed like a little girl.  Then I squeed.  The way Garrus looks at Shep is so goddamned sexy.  I love his "I want you" eyes, they're incredible.

I would like a Turian ceremony to be quite different from humans, that would be really interesting. Turians might not even have a word for "marriage" or at least not how we understand it. Garrus seemed to skip the "marry me" part and go straight into the kids talk.

Yeah.  He seems to be thinking about that for a while.  Turian society seems to be pretty organized, though, so I'd think they have something that's an analogue to marriage?  There's that random turian in ME2 who talks about his mate in his ambient, I think.

Wonder how facial markings play into it... not sure if those can be erased. I mean if they're paint then garrus is pretty meticulous to apply his without coverin up his scars =p

I always liked the idea that turians just choose a mate, a mutual thing of course. Perhaps make a personal promise to each other that they'll be loyal to each other, and not necessarily a public one either. Maybe "marking" each other in some way, paint/tattoos, etc. Or in Shep's case a nice little scar where Garrus bit her.

I love the way efleck describes the way you "mrk" your mate. I am going with her version. It's way hotter than any wedding I've heard of :innocent:

LOL, in that case, Garrus "marked" my Shep on their first night before the Relay.  While they're still figuring out how the whole interspecies thing works, she probably has to remind Garrus that humans are squishier 

Though as much as I love her fic, I imagined Garrus as being much gentler with Shep.  Or maybe it's just my Shep; she's so skittish about feelings and commitment and things that I think Garrus would tread very lightly around her until she gets her head out of her ass.

Changing facial tattoos upon marriage wouldn't make sense, since they're supposed to reflect where you were born and/or raised. I would imagine that a turian child could have completely different facial markings from his/her parents if that's the case.

If they do have marriage then they probably have a ceremony of some kind, but I assume it's nothing like human weddings. If they don't have marriage, well....I honestly doubt that they don't, to be honest. Their society is so rigidly structured and organized, and I imagine that marriage (or something like it) REALLY helps keep things that way. It may not be as important nowadays, but if their culture(s) evolved with it then I'm sure it's still a common practice. Similar to human marriage, in that sense.

They just talk.  Shep tells him to relax, then takes his hands and the conversation proceeds as normal.

I want to know who takes Garrus' place on Palaven if he's dead. He NEVER dies in one of my playthroughs, and I've yet to meet anyone that doesn't have him.
